As she walked through the doors she was met with a loud billowing hello in a thick Spanish accent followed by two massive arms wrapped around her. Without even needing to turn around she knew who it was.

"Marco!! it's is so nice to see you" she said hugging him back.

Marco and Henrietta were the 2 people responsible for taking Hari in after her break up with Kate.

"Well it's been a few weeks I felt I should check up on everything" he jests.

"You know you left this place in perfectly capable hands. My hands precisely"

"Oh I know I know"

"How have you been?" He enquires.

"Staying away from the ladies I hope? you know how they distract you so"

She rolled her eyes "Yes yes staying away best I can.. but I can't help they keep finding me" she nudges his arm as she playfully winks at him.

"On a serious note I have been very well behaved"

"Fanatastic. The last thing we need is repeat of the last one"

3 years prior

"Kate what do you mean??" She looked for her girlfriend's eyes as she who fanatically searching the apartment

"I cant do this anymore! the constant fighting and waking on egg shells with you it's too much!" She frustratedly shouts

" I left my entire family to be here FOR YOU! and now you're saying you can't do this???" Hari spat back at her

"I know and I'll forever be grateful of that but I... I just need space right now ok?"

"Fine then... Do you want me to leave?"

" No its OK I'll go stay with a friend"

Hari furrowed her brows knowing they'd only been here a few months and that Kate didnt know anyone l. Most of this time was spent finding Jobs and an apartment. Kate had found a job almost immediately with the help of a college friend who had contacted her almost immediately after landing and whom happend to be in New York at the exact same time

"With Anthony" Kate says being careful not to make eye contact with Hari.

Hari disliked Anthony she hated the way he would look at Kate whenever they were all together he acted as if Hari didn't exist.

"No please anyone but him please babe" Hari said with pleading eyes

"Stay in a hotel or something anything but with him" she follows up.

"We can't afford that I'm going to stay with him just for a few days"

Hari looked down at her hands admitting defeat gently nodding her head.

Kate couldn't help but feel a pull on her heart looking at her girlfriend's demeanour.

She approaches Hari rubbing her back gently

"Look I'll be back. I just need to clear my head ok?" she said sympathetically

"It's ok I understand" a single tear falls from Haris eyes. She lunged for her girlfriend not wanting her to go. Kate pulled away from the hug which resulted in the twos faces being inches away form eachother. The 2 looked at eachother. Eyes darting from eacothers eyes to the their lips back and forth until, Hari gently leaned in and placed a loving kiss onto Kate lips. Kate reciprocate with an equally soft kiss.

Hari pulled away to rest her head against Kates.

This kiss felt differnet to any other before, Harri couldn't shake a horrible feeling building up in her stomach. Was this a goodbye kiss? she thought to herself.

"My taxis here"

Kate pulled Hari away from her own thoughts.

"Oh... Okay L.... let me know when your safe please?"

"Of course"

Kate reached their shared apartment door and turned to face Hari

"Thank you for everything I hope you know how much you mean to me"

A gentle smile appeared on Harri's face

"Of course my love... I love you"

"Goodbye H"

And with that she was gone. Unbeknownst to the 2 this would be the end of their relationship.

Yes ok I have pretty shitty luck"

Marco was quick to ask

"Have you seen that she's due to be cast in a future marvel project?"

"Unfortunately yes. Ruin my favourite fandom why don't you?"

Hari asked sarcastically earning a laugh fron Marco.

"Speaking of have you seen Black widow yet?"

"I haven't had a chance sadly" she looks down slightly ashamed

"You are really missing out!"

"I will go when I get an evening off from this place!" She says slightly sarcastically with a hint of sincerity.

"Anyway Marco I best get in that kitchen lovely to see you if you're still here later on shall we grab a drink?"

"Yes of course!"

He wrapped 1 arm around her shoulder with a gentle squeeze.

Hari raced to get changed and made her way into the kitchen. She could see there was clearly chaos. Pans everywhere no a sign of order at all. Harri pinched the top of her nose and let out a loud sigh. The kithen was situated in the upstairs of the building.

Her first job was the get these guys under control ready for a busy evening service.

"RIGHT LADS!" She slams her hand down to grab their attention.

Everyone stops what their doing to gather around her.

"Paul and Mike I want you 2 on sides tonight go prep your station"

"Yes chef!" the 2 reply in unison.

"Michelle I want you on the fish tonight please"

" Yes chef"

"Jason and Lena can you 2 please take ownership on the meat station"

"Sophie I want you on desserts tonight"

"Yes H... I mean chef!"

Hari had a slight smirk at the slip up of the name. Hari and Sophie had been secretly meeting for... extracurricular activities for the past couple of months.

"RIGHT let's have great service guys beers on me end of shift!

Everyone went about their assigned duties.

Hari was preparing various dishes as the rest of the brigade were following her orders prepping and cleaning.

As Hari was head chef it was her job to ensure all dishes served were perfect and she was a perfectionist. Each item had its place and needed to go out exactly as she had instructed.

So far it had been a smooth service. Which made the enterance of the Maitre D surprising.

Hari thought to herself "This can't be good"

"Chef I just wanted to let you know to let you know there's a celebrity couple downstairs"

"Ah fantastic!" She sighed sarcastically.

Hari had nothings against celebrities.

However due to her ex and her ex's current parner they now annoyed her, with a few exceptions.

"Who is it?"

"Florence Pugh and Zach Braff"

As far as celebrities went they weren't a bad two.

Hari thought to herself "Hang on she was the girl outside with the gorgeous brown eyes fuck me! Florence Pugh I made direct eye contact with Florence Pugh"

Hari calmed herself after her fangirl moment had passed.

"Let me know when their order has come in please James"

"No problem chef" James replies with a wide smile.

James retreated back to the dining room.

"Guys Im gonna step outside for 10 come get me if the special order comes in"

"No problem chef"

Sophie runs up to Hari before she leaves stopping her at the top of the stairs

"Hey you"

"Oh hey Soph you OK?"

"Not bad.. missed you last night" She shyly says stroking Harri's arm.

"Heh" Hari stops the girls hand.

"Soph you know this is just sex right? we don't need to do the whole" Gestures to her hands running up and down on her arm "This thing"

"Oh yeah course I know sorry" The shorter dark haired girl said.

"Hey Soph don't be like that what we have is so great.... but it's all it's ever going to be I don't do the serious stuff you know that"

"I know I'll let you go"

"Hey you know your my favourite girl"

She leans in giving her a gentle kiss on the head.

"Right you get back to work"

Hari leave a gentle slap on the girls ass earning a light squeel from her. Sophie gives her smirk and rushed back into the kichen.

Hari never usually smoked but tonight was such a night. Talking abouther ex had and seeing her face plastered all ovee the city had stressed her out more than she'd care to admit.

She approached a girl stood in front of the restaurant who had a lit cigarette in her hand.

"Hey sorry to bother you could I Steel one of those"

The girl turned around... Hari's heart dropped

"Yeah here....."
