《Alpha's Leopard (MxM)》Chapter 16: HAPPINESS

My pups said he would try.

Damn.

I don't think I've ever been this giddy before.

With all that's happened and the ugliness of the past month, hearing my Dylan say he would compromise with me and try to let me love him, I was beyond happy.

Ecstatic.

That's a much better word for the way I'm feeling right now.

It's been two days since Dylan and I came to our compromise and my pups has been great. His guard is slowly starting to come down, it's been like Heaven on earth to witness him slowly giving himself to me.

I've been careful not to push him knowing he's not comfortable with being intimate with me yet, but I did take a quick opportunity yesterday to shower him in compliments during my last session of physical therapy.

My pups actually helped my nurses yesterday with helping me walk around the room. He wrapped his arm around my waist while he stood on my left and one of my nurses stood on my right and the other behind me, they were pleased with how much my strength and muscle tone had improved over these last 7 days.

I give all the credit to Onyx honestly, it's because of him that I've been able to heal as well as I have.

All the hard work paid off because today was the day I was getting discharged.

Finally.

My pups helped me get dressed earlier this morning, not anything crazy, he just helped me put my shirt on and then helped me to my feet so I could pull my sweats on.

His clothes were a little too small for me, but I wasn't complaining too much, after all, I did milk it this morning and faked being in pain just so my pups could help me.

Gods and Goddesses help me and forgive me for lying to my mate, but I was desperate for his touch again.

I was going to ask him to go with me back to the waterfall soon so I could grab my dufflebag with my belongings in it. There were things in there that weren't replaceable. Clothes and shoes were whatever, but pictures, the watch my father gave me on my 18th birthday, my phone, letters and the gift I made Dylan were all things that I wanted.

Currently, my mate was busy talking to the doctors and nurses about my "home care" while I watched him with a smile on my face.

He was fussing over such trivial stuff, it was hilarious.

"Ok, Dr. Kyle you said to give him this medicine in the morning right?" My pups asks holding up one of the pill bottles in his hand and Kyle nods.

"Yes Alpha, that one in the morning and this one at night." Kyle says holding up another pill bottle.

"Ok and then there's a third one right?" Dylan asks.

"Yes, the third is in your other hand Alpha." Kyle laughs and Dylan rolls his eyes as soon as he looks down at the two pill bottles, one in each hand.

"Make sure to give him the third medication twice a day."

"But the other two only once a day?" Dylan asks.

"Yes, the first medication is once a day before bedtime, the second medication is once a day after breakfast and the third medication is twice a day."

My mate lets out a frustrated sigh at the doctors instructions and I couldn't help but laugh. His eyes shoot to mine as his frown deepens.

"Why are you laughing Raid?"

"Because you're freaking out about medication." I smile even wider. "It's cute to see you all flustered, not to mention how serious you are about my meds."

"I'm not flustered." He argues back and I raise an eyebrow.

"Really, you're practically sweating worrying about meds that I don't need."

"You do need them." He says pointly.

"Hey, I'm not going to argue you with you about medication. I remember when you told a certain doctor that would be his ass if he was late with my meds again." I laughed looking at Kyle, who was shaking his head with a smile on his face.

"Well I just don't want you to be in pain Raid, this isn't funny. I'm losing my shit right now. There's so many instructions."

"You're impossible you know that." I laugh again looking over at my brother, who had joined in my amusement.

"Brother, trust me, these wolves are serious when it comes to meds. Hunter wouldn't let me forget a single one, even when I felt fine. He fussed over the tiniest things... The man grabbed me by my hair the third night and forced my pain meds down my throat because I refused to take them, which you would think causing me pain to make me to take pain meds would be redundant." Rome said smiling down at his mate.

"Shut up Rome, that was because I didn't want you to be in pain just like Dylan doesn't want Raiden to be in pain. Don't be a jerk." Hunter pouted, crossing his arms in front of his chest, like a child throwing a tantrum.

"But you literally caused me pain by pulled my hair to make me take pain meds that I didn't even need because I wasn't in pain before you pulled my hair." Roman laughed again, brushing his thumb across Hunter's cheek.

"I said I was sorry about that, but next time don't fight me on something serious and I won't pull your hair." Hunter said, gently shoving my brothers hand from his face before thinking about what he just did and then he pulled my brothers hand back to his cheek.

"You're adorable baby." Roman said before pulling his mate onto his lap and planting gentle kisses all over his face, completely breaking Hunter's pouting as he leaned back into my brother and rolled his eyes with a smile on his face.

I still hated the wolf, but seeing how happy he made my brother, it was making it easier to push my feelings aside to keep the peace. My brother didn't need to know about my cell time or the fact that these wolves were the reason I was in this hospital in the first place.

My brothers happiness meant more to me than my feud with the wolves in my mates pack.

Meanwhile my mate was still trying to memorize which medication to give me at which time of the day.

Literally he was demanding a certain time for me to take my meds. Like sir, I don't think it matters. One before bed, one after breakfast and the other twice a day, which could be taken at the same time during the other two.

The whole concept of easy thinking has flown out the window when it came to my pups and his seriousness about my meds.

The poor nurses were now huddled by the door trying to stifle their laughter while Dr Kyle was shaking his head at the stuttering, blubbering man that is their Alpha.

"Ok, just one more time Kyle... this one-" Dylan said holding up all 3 pill bottles before Avery, Gabe's mate, cut him off.

"Alpha, all of the instructions on what meds to give and when should be on Raiden's discharge paperwork." Avery laughed as Gabe hid his face in his back, clearly trying not to laugh himself.

Dylan looked around the room before looking at me.

"What discharge paperwork? Do you have that Raid?"

"No pups, I don't..." I started laughing again before nodding down to his pants pocket. "But you do, in your pocket."

My little mate frowns before looking down and rolling his eyes while he pulled out the rolled up pieces of paper from his back pocket and reads them.

"Why didn't someone tell me this before?" He complained looking around the room again.

"Probably because we were enjoying watching you panic about your mates well-being." His dad, Dean laughed and my mates cheeks turned redder than I've ever seen them.

"Honey, don't be embarrassed. Taking care of your mate is what you're supposed to do." His mom, Jade said before turning to her husband. "Stop making him feel bad about it or your hand will be your bestfriend tonight." She scolded her mate and I chuckled.

Dean looked at his mate like she just tore his heart out of his chest before looking down at his hands like they betrayed him.

It didn't take long for him to mumble an apology to my Dylan, then kiss his mate a million times. Clearly trying to apologize and make sure she didn't leave him with blue balls tonight.

I may not be fond of most of my mates family, but his mom and Aunt Sophie have gained my favor. They weren't there the day I was captured, so there was no reason for me to keep holding a grudge against them.

Not to mention that the shewolves were the matriarchs of their family and it was clear that they ran the show here. Dean and Jake didn't have much of a say so when it came to their children or much else, that's for sure.

"Ok, well I guess I have all the instructions for Raiden's meds then." My mate said looking between relieved and annoyed.

"Great Alpha, now I hope you and Raiden enjoy yourselves and don't get too carried away, he's still healing." Dr. Kyle laughs as he slaps my mates shoulder before walking out of the room.

The laughter that flooded the room after that was deafening. Dean and Jake were the loudest ones, with my brother being a close second.

I narrowed my eyes at my mate, trying my best to hold back my amusement of his stunned filled face. His mouth was hanging open before he snapped it closed and scrunched his face up.

"He's fucking fired." Dylan grumbles and I smile even wider before shaking my head.

It's going to be amazing to get out of this hospital room and start my life with my pups.
