"You so stupid" Maya said eating her popsicle, we were on a picnic that consisted of her telling me I'm stupid.

I rolled my eyes "Oh my gosh Maya, you supposed to be on my side"

She shook her head "I am on your side, that's why I'm telling you that you're stupid. He obviously cares about you and you really like him, so why cheat yourself outta happiness? Pure stupidity I tell you"

"But Maya-" I got cut off by her phone ringing. When she got off she smiled at me.

"You wanna come to August's kickback tomorrow?" she asked.

"Sure, I booked our tickets for next month, did you find a place for us to stay?" I asked changing the subject.

For my birthday I decided on going to Tulum with her and August for a few days.

"Yea, August booked a villa it has 2 bedrooms" she told me.

Soon we finished our food and packed up.

"Alright babes I'll see you tomorrow" Maya said as I got out the car. I waved and walked up my driveway.

"Dadddy" I dragged seeing him on the couch.

He smiled and pulled me into his lap "What you been up to?" I asked seeing his money counter and stacks.

"I had to get my money from the clubs" he told me, when he got out of jail he promised my mom he'd get out the game, so he opened up two clubs. They're doing well but I know he's never gonna be out the game fully.

"What you been doing?" He asked passing a stack to me.

I smiled "Hanging with Maya, I'm going to Mexico for my birthday" I told him.

He frowned "How long y'all gon be there"

"Mmm like 4 days, but we're leaving the day after my birthday so you and mom could celebrate with me the day of." I said making him to smile

Since he got locked up when I was 13 he's missed 4 of my birthdays, so this year he's really excited to celebrate my 18th with me.

"Ight, what you want for dinner?" He asked putting another stack in the counter.

"A seafood boil?" I suggested, he nodded

"Wassup witchu and Gutta?" He asked handing me another stack.

I shrugged "We didn't work out" I answered.

"What happened? Me and him had a talk, he told me he was serious bout you." He said furrowing his eyebrows.

"Mane Aiza do I need to whoop this nigga ass?" I quickly shook my head and explained what happened between us.

He scrunched up his face "Soooo you want me to give up all my money involuntarily, but when that nigga give you money you don't want it?"

He handed me another stack then tapped my leg to get up "Go get the stuff from the store, I just texted you a list"

"Can I drive the hellcat?" I asked with pleading eyes.

He rolled his eyes and gave me the keys making me smile.

As I pulled out the driveway, cut on.

"I'm from the four but I love me a threesome. DM her, delete it she my lil secret" I rapped as I pulled up to the light in front of the store.

As I was walking through the vegetable section I saw Kareem. He didn't see me so I continued shopping with my head down.

"Let's get cookies" a girl said pulling his arm.

After grabbing everything I quickly checked out and made my way home.

"So you going to Mexico?" Kalani asked as she parted the last section of my hair. I thought we had like 3 more braids until she started parting.

"Yea, Maya and her boyfriend coming too" I told her.

"My brother supposed to be going there sometime soon too" she replied.

I met her my sophomore year of high school and she been doing my hair since.

"Maya date August right? He's my cousin" she told me.

I smiled "It seem like he's everyone cousin" I said.

She walked off to start heating up the water, so I just got on Instagram texting people back about booking me.

I switched over to Tiktok until my phone was snatched. "What you doing in my sister house?" Kareem asked mugging me.

I mugged him back "I'm obviously getting my hair done, gimme my shit back"

He was about to say something until Kalani came back "Gutta leave my client alone"

He pushed her shoulder then handed me back my phone, then headed towards the back.

"Ight Lani, I only came to say hi to my niece. I'll see you later" he kissed her cheek then walked out the front door.

"You know my brother?" She asked after he left.

"No, I think I've seen him at August's house tho" I replied, she so nosey.

After she dipped the braids and cleaned them up, she snapped a few pictures then I left.

As I stood outside about to order my Uber, I noticed Kareem was still here.

A horn beeped at me then he let down his window and motioned for me to come over there.

"Who you waiting on?" He asked licking his lips.

"My Uber" I answered rolling my eyes.

"Cancel it" he told me.

"No" I replied causing him to mug me.

I rolled my eyes and started walking back to my original spot.

I heard his car door open then felt arms around my waist.

"Stop playing Aiza, lemme take you home" he said turning me around.

"I'm good Kareem, my Uber is like two minutes away" I lied.

"Just cancel it, I'll pay the cancellation fee too" he said pulling me towards his car.

"Kareem I already told you bout dragging me like I'm a child" I said pushing him away.

He chuckled "I don't care bout that, you don't listen so I obviously gotta treat you like one"

"You don't gotta treat my like nothing if you leave me alone" I told him.

"Just get in the fuckin car Aiza, damn" he yelled walking to his side and slamming the door causing me to jump.

I sighed then got in. He placed his hand on my thigh then pulled off.

After getting through traffic he dropped me off at my house.
