9:50 a.m.
"Go brush your teeth, while I pick out you some clothes" I said to Amerie, as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.
"We get to see the baby today" she asked, standing up from the bed. "Mhmm" I hummed, nodding my head.
"YESSS" she yelled, excitedly jumped up and down. I laughed at her excitement. Today, was my eight month appointment, which would be her first time coming, she's been talking about this all week.
After, finding an outfit for Amerie and getting myself together I made my way to the bathroom to check on her.
"Shit" I lowly cursed, waddling to the bathroom, rubbing the spot where I felt a sharp pain underneath my belly. It had been occurring more often, I was planning on informing my doctor at my appointment today.
"Toot you suppose to be brushing your teeth" I said walking in seeing her sitting on top of the counter. "I had to call daddy first" she smiled, pointing to her iPad that was propped up on the wall.
I haven't spoken to Markeyvious, in the last three months, the most we do is communicate in text when it had something to do about Merie.
"Daddy I get to see my baby brother" she excitedly told him. "You do" he chuckled. I crossed my arms together, as a cold chill could be felt as I heard his voice.
"Mhmm" she nodded her head. "You ready for your party mama" he asked. "Yes, it's going to be unicorns everywhere" she smiled.
He laughed at her excitement. "Are you going to come" she asked, playing with the end of her princess dress, she was wearing.
"Of course mama" he said, licking his lips. The brightest smiled, plastered across her face. She definitely has been missing her father, and his absence was starting to be noticed.
"I miss you daddy" she pouted, mumbling her words as she fiddled with her fingers. "What you say mama" he asked, putting the phone closer to his ear.
"I miss you" she spoke up, with tears in her eyes. "I miss you too" he smiled. "Don't cry fat, imma be home in three days" he said.
"Okay mama" he said, licking his lips. She nodded her head in response. "What you want for your birthday" he asked, trying to lighten up the mood.
"A barbie house" she answered, smiling. "Daddy could you s-end me money, so I c-an get toys" she said moving her hair out of her face.

"And Starbucks" she added. "And candy" she continued. "Damn, fat how much shit you want" he chuckled.
"I got you mama" he said, "How old you turning" he asked. "THREE" she yelled excitedly. "Show me on your hands" he chuckled.
"One, two, three" she said counting on her fingers, as he smiled looking at her through the phone. "Good job baby, I miss you so much" he said, thinking about how his little girl is growing up.
"I miss you too" she giggled. "I love you princess" he said, getting close to the phone so she could hear him.
"I love you too" she said, playing with her fingers. "Imma talk to you later fat" he said. "But daddy you have to tell mommy t-that you love h-her" she said.
"Really fat" he chuckled. "You tell her for me" he said, as she nodded her head okay before hanging up the iPad.
"Come on tootie let's get dressed, so we don't be late" I said, wiping the stray tear that felled. "Okay but mommy you got t-to play the m-usic" she said.
"You right tootie" I chuckled, leaving out to go get my phone from the bedroom. Once, I retrieved my phone, I unlock it seeing that Key sent three hundred dollars and I had three text messages from him late last night.
I shook my head, as I read the texts. I knew he had to be intoxicated.
It was frustrating knowing that a piece of me still craved him, but this is what's best for us. Well that's what I kept, telling myself.

11:23 a.m.
"I still can't believe that my baby is having a baby" Grace, my mother, said. She had decided to tag along last minute. Ever since the gender reveal, she has been nothing but supportive and caring.
"Really momma" I said rolling my eyes, as we listened to the heartbeat, feeling the flutters in my heart. "You hear that tootie, that's his heartbeat" I smiled, telling Amerie.
"He look just like her" Grace said, I nodded my head in agreement as the doctor cleaned the gel off of my belly.
I still find it so unreal, how I have a tiny human growing inside me. I was already in love with him.
"You remember the last appointment we discussed your stress levels" the doctor said as she turned on the lights.
"Yes, is everything okay" I asked, with worry laced in my voice. "Your levels are still pretty high which is resulting your blood pressure to be at a high rate" she explained.

"What does that mean" I asked, furrowing my brows. "You are showing signs of preeclampsia. That would explain the sharp pain you been feeling." she said.
"Lyric you ain't tell me about no pain" Grace said, frowning her face up. "It wasn't nothing I couldn't deal with" I lied, knowing that the past few nights the pain has been intensifying.
"So where do we go from here" Grace asked the doctor. "Induced labor, and with you just hitting eight months. It would most likely be scheduled three weeks from now." the doctor said.
"THREE WEEKS" I exclaimed. My mind instantly started racing. I just moved into a new house that wasn't halfway furnished.
I don't have the baby room put together, I feel completely drained with everything. How could I bring a child into this world, if I don't have myself together. I feel like everything was hitting me all at once, I felt alone for the past months.
I needed my person. I missed my person.
"It's okay Noelle" my mother said, rushing over to console me as I broke down into tears. I started to feel like I failed my son. I began to doubt my capabilities as a mother.
"I need him, I can't do this alone mommy" I said in tears, as she pulled me into her arms. "I got you baby" she said, kissing my forehead.
—————
3:25 p.m.
"You have to let him know Lyric, that's his child as well" Alani said. "She's right" Grace said. "He's probably busy" I sighed, rubbing my sweaty hands together.
"Noelle" my mother sternly said. "Fine" I said, taking my phone from Alani's hand before they walked out the bedroom.
I nervously chewed on my bottom lip, as I clicked on Markeyvious contact.
"Hello" he answered, on the first ring, with his raspy voice. "Lyric" he called out, hearing nothing but silence. "Don't hang up" I mustered to say.
"Everything good" he asked, with a hint of worry in his voice. "Umm, I really need you too be here with me. My doctor appointment didn't go so well." I said, fiddling with my fingers, trying to hold back the tears.
"And I just feel really alone" I said, breaking down into tears. "Calm down, baby. I'm going to get there as soon as I can." he said.
"Everything's going to be okay. Try to stop crying for me." he said, as I tried to stop the tears from falling.
—————
6:34 p.m.
"Is she good Lani" Key asked, as we talked on the phone. "She's asleep right now" I said, closing the door to Lyric's bedroom.
"You think she's going to be okay" he sighed. "In due time. But Key you really hurt her. I don't know all the aspects of what happened but she is hurting from it. And being pregnant doesn't help." I said.
"I know, but um just keep me posted. I'm just getting to the airport, I should be there in the morning." he said.
"Okayy" I said, nodding my head as if he could see me.
"Aye Lani" he called out, stopping me from hanging up. "Yeah" I answered. "Tell her I love her" he said. "I will" I said hanging up the phone, letting out a deep sigh.
—————
8:42 p.m.
"I don't see why I got to go to the store with you" Lyric said as I backed out of the driveway. "Because I didn't want to go by myself" I said.
"You must don't love me or some" I mugged her. "I do" she chuckled. "But me and your nephew was enjo-not a damn thing" I said cutting her off. "And don't bring him into this" I chuckled.
"Bitch is you trying to kidnap me" Lyric said, fifteen minutes later. "Why you say that" I laughed. "Cause what damn store we going too" she asked.
"I had ordered food" I said pulling into Boyd's Steakhouse. "You going to get out with me" I asked, taking the key out of the ignition.
"Only because I have to piss" she said, unbuckling her seatbelt. "Pissy ass" I mumbled under my breath, getting out of the car.
"It smell good ass hell in here" she said as we walked in. I nodded my head in agreement as we walked towards the back.
"SURPRISE" Tae and India, yelled in unison as we walked up. "What is this" Lyric asked, with a confused look on her face, as she looked at the balloons and gift bags.
"We just wanted to show you how much we love and appreciate you" I smiled. "Aww, you guys" she pouted, fanning her eyes.
"I love y'all so much" she said pulling us into a group hug.
