[Capital of Celestic - The Great Academy of Magic and Weaponry]
One Hour Ago
(At this time a council meeting was occurring regarding a certain sword...)
(The meeting hall was a sinked in at the center and the floor was filled with shallow water as it in cave near a small water source with some high seats for the council members in the wall. Right now all the seats were filled with a man standing on the floor being looked down by the council members, but he dosn't seem to care.)
"The lost sword of one of the Professer has again responded it seems someone gave it frozen mana(ice mana)." a man with a hoarse voice at one of the seats said.
"And we want you to retreat it.... It is at the eastern edge of celestic right now in a city called Elementia." Another man said with a voice full of arrogance and pride while looking down on the one it was directed to.
"As you wish my lords I will depart as soon as I am ready." As the man on the floor said that and left the room as the council members watch him exit the room.
"So he is still like that huh never have i thought i would be sad having such a capable subordinate"
"He is going to steal your seat if this goes on you know."
"You are right... but he still have a long way to go."

[Elementia]
At present,
Alen's POV
So this how it is his scales are harder than iron. There must be a weakness, 'no enemy is unkillable no being is flawless' thats the conclusion i came to when i reached mastery of sword.
"You won't find a flaw in me that easily you know" Arcane said.

''....."
I slowly changed stance leaning forward to dash, while watching me Arcane also adjust his posture, wuthout a second thought i just rushed in and so did he. Due to his speed and power being greater i cant just reclessly attack like a maniac with only revenge in his head...
The momment he attacked me i swiftly changed my movements and got behind him to attck but what i recieved was a blow from his tail.... Damn that thing is annoying, though i blocked it my sword but my hands are almost numb from the impact, i have to think something....
'It would hurt a lot if i fail'
Though i can't use holy magic like priest i am still the strongest in Elementia I can probably take a tail or two... while thinking so I rushed in with pure killing intent.
Watching me Arcane sweeped his leg as if kicking nothing but thing that came next was his tail, at that momment i ducked the lowest I ever had while running as i dodged his tail and reached behind his back i picked up the spear i threw earlier and threw the spear towards the back of his head at one of his weak spots, eyes if he turns.
[Author's note: Arcane did a 360 while that sweep kick]
I did get my hopes up for an opening but the next thing that occured almost caused me my head to almost say goodbye to my neck. He didn't turn but his tail came for my throat, I dodged backwards while trying to deflect his tail with my sword but at that momment i saw it, The reverse scale.
Reverse scale, it is the scale facing opposite to all other scales on a dragons body, even though the reverse scale is the only weakness except its eyes which a dragon has there is a saying between the adventurers who try to hunt dragons "Never touch the reverse one." . It has a simple meaning if you touch the reverse scale you are dead because when its touched the dragon goes on an all out rampage, it dosent care even if its deatroy his home.

"You are one of the dragonmen huh." I Said as thought of an idea i would probably regret.
"Regretably so." Arcane said as if he loathed his own race.
The next clash we had i broke the damn saying to a million pieces, i attackedthe reverse scale. Arcane was on a rampage behind me as I ran towards the only thing that can stop him. He seemed to have kept his bare minimum consiousness but i shouldn't be focusing on that right now. Even though i hate to admit it Arcane is fast and even though I am able to keep up with it, I am only able dodge him by a breath.
If this fails I am so dead......

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.

Black Sheep's Freedom
A group of youths is transported to another world governed by a [System]. Their future now lies at a crossroads. For survival, for power, for a way home, a path must be chosen. Will they grasp the inviting hand? Will they set forth unaided, unshackled? Yet the most important choice, however, is where to place their faith. The false worshippers? The oddball in their midst? Or themselves? For free will is precious and the die only rolls once. ----- This is a tale of how a [System] died, but don't tell people that, it is kind of a big spoiler. Although, it is implied from the first few chapters, so it might not be that big of a deal? ----- I'm a novice at writing and the story might have plotholes due to lack of careful planning, but I hope you readers will enjoy the journey as I do enjoy writing this. Not very familiar with the tagging system, so I'm going to take suggestions other than the ones I checked myself, thank you! Updates will be on Monday and Thursday each week. UTC +7
