This was really unexpected, what i saw was not something you see often in caves and i am not talking about the red sword which was embeded in ice. A lot of people like trying to be like hero who embeded his holy sword in the mountain that split clestic in almost half. Thing i am talking about is an ice shard.....

It happened like this when i saw the beautiful scene i went in even though it was suffocating as all entrances were closed and no air went in but as i was proceeding i stepped on an ice shard, this shard was small and should have melted in this temperature, but it was still cold as if it was going to freaze my arm and then what happened was it shown a memmory fragment...

What a memory fragment is a kind of mana which do not have any affinity/element like fire, water, ice etc which is fabricted in a memory. When a memory fragment came in contact with human life force it unfold and shows that human an image, it can only do this one time as it cant get fabricated by itself.

It was a memory of how this place became like this, once a man who was an fire magic swordsman got involved with an ice magic swordsman and it ended up in a life and death battle. the fire magic swordsman was loosing so he ran in the cave and the ice magic swordsman followed him, but the fire magic swordsman set up a trap and gave the ice magic swordsman a wound that peirced his lungs. The ice magic swordsman decided to go down with the coward so he used all his mana in one attack and caused a serious snowstorm in the cave but the fire magic swordsman was not going to wait as his death approaches and he set up a fire barrier with everything he had, the barrier was like a huge sphere which is the reason of the lava in the cave. The two sides were as if the were having a last stand but in one momment it all changed, the ice magic swordsman use his life blood as he crafted an ice spear and threw it towards the fire magic swordsman but it missed by a few steps. Seeing the opponent in his last breath the fire magic swordsman let his gaurd down and at that momment the spear brusted tearing the fire magic swordsman apart as it created the final piece of scenery, the ice flower at the center of cave.

The memory didn't end there, as a side effect of using such method the ice magic swordsman started fabricating this memory as he slowly turned in ice. In the last part of the memory he told how to use the "ice shard" and turn it to the belonging to the discoverer.

I was shocked to find it was last part of his sword and it was due to this it didnt melt also it remained so cold as it holds a significant amount of ice mana.

"So to make it mine i need to supply it my mana..."

This was the unexpected situation and I was in a predicament as apparently the sword would change into the sword with the best affinity of mana which supports the user.... And i don't have an affinity yet. According to the mage a person would develop an affinity till the age of 18 but i am still 17 so...... I dindn't know should i supply the mana or should i not?

After thinking for a long time i came to the answer and supplied my mana. As i supplied it my mana the swords mana of ice started to decrease and the structure of the sword changed from a shard as it slowly became a sword. It was not too long not two short, it had a silver, one sided blade with a little touch of blue and a blue handle and was heavy but was light enough to hold with one hand. This silver sword was as if shouting to that its affinity is ice.
