《Does Hell Have an Adventurers' Guild?》Epilogue

All the suffering and pain he had ever experienced returned into his memory, but at the same time there were moments of awe, triumph, friendship and affection. The positive and negative memories clashed against each other like two oceans of black and white and when their waters mixed together turning grey, he had a feeling that he heard a faint sound, a whistle that called to him.
"Yes." He said and felt the gravity of his decision.
Without another word, Sammael felt the reality around him crumbling apart and remembered when he felt a similar sensation. It was when the Divine Universe had been created for him.
With the same ease it was being deconstructed and in no time, he found himself in another reality and a different body.
"No, wait!" He held his breath when he remembered his body and the situation he was in. He stood on a street with a plastic bag in his hand, with a few items of daily necessity that he carried on his way home. He breathed in the smog into his lungs and felt a nostalgic feeling inside him, well the part of him that was Frei, the two of them were still to fight a bitter war inside his mind, but the unexpected change of environment startled them both, causing them to pause their struggle.
He pressed a button in front of him out of habit and waited until a green light appeared on the other side of the street. He waited in a daze for when he would be able to pass. When the green light lit up, he walked into the middle of the street and looked to the side like expecting something to happen, but nothing did except for a loud crying that suddenly came from the front where a kid seem to had fallen and lightly injured its knee.

He crouched reflexively to help the kid to its feet, as it could not stay here crying in the middle of the street, but when he did his head bumped into something.
"Ugh, sorry." He looked at the person whom he had collided with, probably a mother of the kid that also hurried to help her child and his eyes bulged like he was an overstuffed frog.
"Ni . .. impossible!" He could not speak any more, flabbergasted by the coincidence.
No, it was not a coincidence, it had to be his work. Was he toying with him again?
Sammael wanted to doubt the situation, but his doubts had been overpowered by the emotion of his other half.
"Sorry, he is a handful sometimes." She smiled at him in a familiar way and hurried to the other side, because the traffic light had already turned red.
"Like hell I will let it end like this!" A thought flashed in his mind and he turned around.
"Wait!" He shouted and ran through the cars that were slowly accelerating, forcing them to stop again when he made his way in a different direction. He ignored the angry shouts of the drivers and stood in front of the person that bore incredible resemblance to Nitarja, except that her tail and ears were nowhere to be found.
"Wait, he is too heavy, you will be unable carry him for much longer." He said and they smiled at each other and for the first time in a long time, he saw intelligence within those eyes that looked at him warmly.
He would kill for that smile and even if it was only another trick of the divine will, he vowed that it would be not enough to stop him.
"It never was and it never will." He whispered for himself and outstretched his arms, wordlessly offering to carry the child instead.
For the first time the whole of himself was able to agree. Sammael's thought of revolution stayed, but now it was not just about him and he felt his will had gained a different quality. The change might be for the better or worse, but he knew that he would never regret it.
A moment later, the three of them walked down the street.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.

Thank for understanding, and I promise that I will try to keep it as similar as possible. **important**Potential Fixes: •Adding time skips such as weeks in between or specific time passsings to make the story seem a little more realistic, and not rushed•Adding more things to flashbacks, maybe adding a new flashbacks but only 1 or 2...•GRAMMAR AND TYPOS •SOME dialouge, if it doesn't sit right with me•Anything that doesn't fit or doesn't match the storycover by: rivila_cher"AH!"
