I am posting "Monsters and Maidens" Volume 4 onwards in its own story block (I would probably call it "book 2") mostly for the sake of convenience.
For one, I have taken the lessons learnt in these first 3 volumes and altered the format to try and provide a tighter narrative.
It starts off with a minor time-skip, and continues with a focus entirely centered on Rick & the girls.
Do I intend to just ignore Mark and the others forever? No. But their presence will be relegated to the odd bonus chapter or if/when they become relevant to Rick's story.
The story itself is also intended as a potential entry-point for new readers, one of those "You don't need to read 200+chapters if you don't want to. They're there, but it's not mandatory".
I have hopes to also take part in this year's Writeathlon (hopefully it happens starting Nov 1st), so I will post a bunch of chapters starting next week! I look forward to feedback!
