"What is he doing here?" Pansy shrieked when Harry for the first time, as far as Draco knew, stepped into the Slytherin common room.
Harry still remembered that time in their second year, where Ron and himself sneaked in, pretending to be Crabbe and Goyle. Maybe a story for later. "He's here with me" Draco sneered back.
Crabbe and Goyle send each other a confused look. Luckily not many people were in the common room. Only some first years, Pansy and Crabbe and Goyle. The first years were starring at them curiously. "Why?" Pansy asked, her normal sass gone in her confusion.
"Because we wanted to spend some time together" Draco said and pulled Harry with him over to a little green couch.
"We're really doing it" Harry mumbled, so the other couldn't hear them.
Draco nodded, a relived smile on his face.
"They hate me" Draco complained on their way down to the room of requirement.
"You hate them too" Harry pointed out.
They had just spend some time in the Gryffindor common room to do their homework together and the fellow Gryffindors wasn't happy about sharing their room with a Slytherin all of a sudden, to put it mildly. It had been around a month now of them being more open about their relationship. Harry hated to admit it, but he had come to the conclusion that maybe it hadn't been the best idea. He was used to being talked about, the whispering behind his back and the mean comments, but Draco wasn't. He was used to people respecting him too much to do so or be too afraid when Crabbe and Goyle were around. It was clear for Harry, even though Draco wouldn't admit it, that it took hard on him, when people commented on their relationship or the fact that he spend time in the Gryffindor common room all of a sudden. It had also been a struggle to make him anticipate in the D.A classes. But Harry had succeeded in dragging with him a couple of times now.
"Yes, but that's not the point" Draco said and dramatically threw his head back.
Harry chuckled. "You're such a drama queen".
"I am not!" Draco exclaimed.
They stopped in front of the wall on the seventh-floor corridor. "Maybe I should just go to the library" Draco said and turned to leave, but Harry caught his arm.
"Come on. I like having you there" he pleaded.
Draco rolled his eyes. "We both know that's not true. No one likes me so you have to baby me all the time".

"You have no idea how nerve wrecking it is to stand in front of all those people, pretending to be some teacher. You give me courage" Harry said, looking the Slytherin in the eyes.
Draco blushed furiously. "You can't just say stuff like that without warning" he complained.
"Besides you're the Gryffindor. You're supposed to be the one with the courage".
Harry smiled and leaned in for a quick kiss. "You're supposed to rival with all Gryffindors, but look at you".
"Haha, clever" Draco mumbled and looked at Harry as he walked past the wall, eyes closed, thinking of the room he wanted to appear.
Everyone was already waiting for them. People standing up as soon as he entered, wands in their hands. "Hey everyone" Harry said and smiled around to everyone.
"Good evening Professor Potter" Fred and George said standing straight.
Harry rolled his eyes at the two. "What are we doing today?" Neville asked exited.
"I thought we were going to practice Stupefy, to make someone unconscious for a period of time" Harry explained.
"Can I practice on Malfoy?" Zacharias Smith mumbled under his breath.
"No, but you're welcome to leave" Harry said with forced calm.
Zacharias quickly shut up, but he still glared at Draco who wasn't afraid to glare back. "So, if you all pair up" Harry said before any of them could get to say more.
People quickly found a partner. "You can just practice with me" Harry whispered to Draco, who sighed and nodded.
"Will you be my partner?" Luna asked, looking at Draco with her always, surprised face.
Harry smiled happily at her, which she didn't seem to notice. Draco took a deep breath and then nodded. "Sure".
They began practicing. Luna was a lot better than Draco had suspected, but he managed to Stupefy her a couple of times too.
Harry was radiating with delight when they finished up. "We'll see you later" Hermione said, as she and Ron left as the last ones.
Harry smiled at them before returning his eyes back at Draco. "Everyone is becoming so good. Even Neville is capable of getting a spell in from time to time and he dueled against Ginny. She's good. And you gave Luna a chance. That was really great" he rambled, hugging Draco tightly.
Draco couldn't help but to smile. "Calm down" he mumbled into the raven hair.
"No way" Harry said and let go of the other boy.
"It's late, lets go".
They left the room, gave each other a kiss and then left to go to each their own dormitories.
"I want you all to write an assignment about today's chapter. I think about three pages would be fitting" Dolores Umbridge said over the class, who all sighed at the news.

"That would be all for today".
The students were quick to scramble their belongs together. "Mr. Malfoy, you can stay" Umbridge said and smiled sweetly down at him.
Draco looked over at Harry, who looked just as confused as he felt himself. "What does she want?" Pansy asked silently.
"How should I know?" Draco mumbled back.
She rolled her eyes and left the class together with the other student, who were dying to get away from the toad like teacher. Draco slowly walked up towards Umbridge's desk. She gestured him to sit down in front of it, her broad smile never leaving her face. "Tea?" she asked and pointed at a very pink tea pot.
"No thank you".
Umbridge sat down in front of him, slowly pouring a cup of tea for herself. After she had added three spoons of sugar she looked back up at him. "You are one of my favourite students Draco" she said and took a sip of her tea.
Draco narrowed his eyes slightly. That was not what he had expected. "You're from a pure blood family, a good one at that, a great student and a clever boy" she continued.
Draco kept quiet. He felt like he was an animal, who was lured into a trap. "I want everyone here to feel safe. I know that we have the Prefect to do that, but I don't trust them. I want to choose some for myself. A squad of students who can keep things right here. Students that I can hand pick and I want you to be the leader Draco. Do you want to be a part of the Inquisitorial Squad?" she asked like it was the greatest honour anyone had ever handed.
"Why do you feel like the prefects aren't doing their job good anything Professor?" Draco asked, trying to get around her proposal, but also confused about her intention.
"It has come to my hearing, that an illegal organization has been founded and something like that shouldn't be happening. The prefects clearly can not handle the job" Umbridge explained.
"Well, I'm a prefect and I haven't even heard of said organization" Draco lied.
Umbridge tilted her head, looking at him with a way too sweet smile. "Oh Draco. But you have been alone with the task. I'm gonna gather a whole team for you".
Draco took a deep breath. "I'm sorry Professor, but I have to pass. I'm very busy with school and stuff, and it doesn't sound like a responsibility I would like to have, but thank you very much for the thought" he said and got up, slowly backing towards the door.
Umbridge sighed and poured up some more tea. "What a shame" she mumbled.
"Your father is going to be real disappointed".
Draco stopped, dead in his tracks. "Sorry?"
She smiled back up at him. "I told him about my proposal and he was very delighted. Said that you would see it as a huge honour and that he was glad that you finally made some progress. That it was time that you finally became something".
Draco didn't know what to say. His stomach was twisted in knobs. His father already knew about it. He would be so mad if he heard that Draco had declined. "But oh well" Umbridge said, sighing again.
"I will just have to tell him that you didn't feel like it. I probably had to talk to him anyways soon as it has come to my attention that you have begun spending time with Potter. What a waste of a good young boy as you self. Throwing it all away like that".
"No please" Draco said, taking a step back towards the desk.
Umbridge looked up at him with fake confusion. "What dear?"
Draco heart hammered in his chest, sweat forming on his palms and on his pale forehead. This couldn't happen. Everything had been so perfect the last two months. He felt stupid for believing that it could last. "I'm sorry. I didn't think it through. Thank you for helping me with that. I would very much like to be a part of Inquisitorial Squad" he said, trying to find his normal proud Malfoy posture.
Umbridge smirked with satisfaction. "I'm happy to hear that Draco".
She stood up, corrected her hideous pink tweed jacket, and went around the table, so she stood just in front of the Slytherin boy. She was a lot shorter than him, but Draco felt like he was a beetle at her pink shoed feet. He felt like taking a step back to get away from her, but he didn't. "Your father is going to be really proud. I'm really proud" she said and put her hand on his cheek, still with her sickening smile plastered on her face.
Draco couldn't say anything. He just nodded, fighting the stinging tears.

My Girlfriend, the Necromancer
The power of the Orb cleaves the skies and shatters the earth. It heralds the advent of a new era, one where humanity is no longer at the top of the food chain and we must rise to the challenge when faced with our own extinction as a species. I could hardly care less. All I ever wanted was to love my Allie, to grow old and wrinkly by her side as I held her hand before taking my last breath on this green earth. To have our love echo through the ages, an ode to the last great love story on the planet, one that would endure the end of humanity, the breaking of the world, and even defy the dread summons of Death itself. It’s said that when the gods unleash their fury upon mortal kind, they grant their wishes. Well, crap. This is a gritty end of the world survival story with modern fantasy/romance/game-like elements in it. The main focus will be character development while stats and menus are there as a fun vehicle to empower the imagination. Tellus Stirs (Previously Earth AA)
The year is 2030. Earth is dying. War, pandemics, overwhelming pollution, species going extinct, climate change, etc. The so-called human race has brought more harm to their planet due to greed; their increased energy needs were on a path of decadence even with their increased technological advancements. Tactical Nukes were already used in conflicted zones in the fight for resources. The conclusion was a deep and frightening hum unleashed deep within the earth, heard by every living creature, and with it, civilization has ended. Those who survived wished they were slain along with their loved ones as the dead didn't have to endure what came after. Others took the opportunity to gain unimaginable power and prestige as a new age began. Chaos reigned as per the prophecies foretold in the past. Those who did not believe knew the signs were actual; these prophecies were no longer popular folk tales. Such titles, the Breaking, the Rapture, the Malhama, and many others, came at a high cost. After all, every city or densely populated area had been hit with natural disasters that encompassed tsunamis, Earthquakes, Firestorms, Typhoons, and hurricanes. Power, food, infrastructure. All of it was gone and what came after was worse as humans were no longer top of the food chain. Yet the imminent destruction of the 21st century re-opened a veil that had kept the world safe from hidden dangers, or maybe it was the other way around. Time will tell. In our story, the Protagonist rises from the ashes of the apocalypse. A desert child soldier nurtured by tragedy and death looking for an escape to fill the void in his heart. By chance, in his hand, he held a blade with immense possibilities.
