《The Mandalorian of Attack On Titan.》Chapter 3

???:"Hmm."
???:"What's wrong, figuring out how to take a peaceful shit?"
???:"No Levi, I'm not in the mood for one of your jokes. Haven't you read the report by the MP's?"
Levi:"Tsk, Military Police could probably be making that stuff up. If you want evidence to back that up, ask Four-eyes to go out and figure it out herself." As he said that, the door swung open revealing the crazy titan-loving scientist.
(
Hange:"I heard that, Levi! What's the matter, Erwin?"
Erwin:"The report by the Military Police is very interesting. A man of unknown origins coming across a kidnapped victim, the strange armor and weapon he wields, and he successfully killed 6 men at once. That's something that sounds like only Levi could achieve."
Levi:"Probably dumb luck in my opinion."
Hange:"And what would you want us to do about it?"
Erwin:"Hmm, the both of you head out to Shiganshina and locate this individual. The reports stated that he lives with Doctor.Jaeger and his family. You'll probably find this interesting Levi, but it says here that the remaining two men were taken down by not him, but by a young girl."
Hange:"Woohoo! Another great adventure awaits us, Levi! Whatever this man has on him, I can't wait to start studying it!"
Levi:"Tsk, spare me the details of your studies. Isn't there anyone else that can go with Four-eyes? I have to see if my squad cleaned up like I've told them to."
Erwin:"Moblit isn't here as he's gathering supplies for the next expedition and you're the person I trust should anything go south."
Levi:"That I get but why did you mention the young girl?"
Erwin:"That's because she performed something that's not really done by many girls her age. I only want Hange to investigate the man and chat with the girl, you are to stay and keep Hange safe." He explained. Understanding that arguing isn't going to get him far, Levi agreed and got up to prepare with Hange.

Jaeger residence
After the events with the gang members, Mando reported everything to the Military Police along with Carla. When word got out of what happened, Grisha rushed home to check on his wife and son only to be greeted by Eren's bloody and bruised appearance. He spent the rest of the day looking after Eren while Carla fixed up the house. Mando took Mikasa to bathe her as she had blood all over her when she dispatched the thugs.
Mando:"Are you okay, kid?" He questioned her. Mikasa had already gone through the pain of losing her family and at this point in time, she didn't want to lose another. Mando understood that perfectly but what he didn't understand was the pin-point accuracy by the cuts that she made on the thugs. When asked the question, Mikasa dipped her head lower into the bathtub with her nose being above water then resurfacing again.
Mikasa:"Do you hate me?"
Mando"What, why would I ever hate you?"
Mikasa:"I'm a monster, I killed those two men without hesitation when they attacked Mrs.Jaeger and Eren."
Mando:"You did the right thing and sometimes the right thing means getting your hands dirty." He replied. The two stayed quiet for a while until she asked another question.

Mikasa:"Why don't you take it off?"
Mando:"My helmet?" He asked.
Mikasa:"Mhm."
Mando:"No..."
Mikasa:"Okay, then can I call you 'papa'?"
Mando:"What? Why?"
Mikasa:"Because I don't have one anymore." She explained. A sudden feeling of guilt swirled inside him, not wanting to leave her fatherless, he agreed.
Mando:"Sure thing, kid." He replied. Mando couldn't see her expression but a large smile overtook her face causing her to dip her head into the bathtub.
Mando:"What the!?" He exclaimed. In less than a second, she popped back up and giggled.
Mando:"Don't do that again, kid."
Mikasa:"M'kay, I won't. Thank you papa."
Mando:"Don't mention it." He then resumed scrubbing her hair.
Mando:'When was the last time I showered?'
Mikasa:"Papa?"
Mando:"What is it?"
Mikasa:"What were your parents like?" He stopped scrubbing her head when asked the question, it completely caught him off-guard as he had flashbacks of what happened.
————
'Whatever happens son, remember that we'll always be with you.'
'Mother will aways love you and father too, now go!'
'The droid army is almost here!'
'It's a super battle droid!
'Ahhhh!'
The sounds of blaster fire and screams of his village filled the young boys ears as he ran. He cried nonstop as he was forced to leave his family behind while they stayed. When he got a safe distance away, he looked back and found a grizzly sight of his parents being burned right before his eyes. The conquering droid army burned his entire village because the leaders had thought they had transpired with Republic forces, this resulted in their utter annihilation.
————
"Pa.a...papa...PAPA!"
Mando:"...What?"
Mikasa:"Are you okay, you stopped moving. Did I upset you?"
Mando:"No...but my parents were burned by an invading army. I left them because I was told to survive, they didn't want me to suffer with them." The answer shocked Mikasa.
Mikasa:"I'm sorry papa, I didn't mean to bring that up."
Mando:"Don't be but you're becoming a lot more talkative since I first found you. Do you enjoy being around Eren and his parents?"
Mikasa:"Yes, we've been playing everyday since we got here and he still wants me to meet his friend. Carla allows me to help her with the daily chores and she showed me how to keep my hair pretty. Can I go meet Armin someday?"
Mando:"Of course you can, now get up so I can dry you off. I stink badly and it's my turn to bathe." She complied and got out the bathtub to allow him to bathe. She was more than happy to hear the news that she can meet Eren's friend someday.
—————
Levi:"I can't believe I agreed to this." He complained as he and Hange made their way down the street to the Jaegers.
Hange:"Quit your whining shorty, we're here for the sake of humanity! Who knows what these two individuals are hiding away, hehehe, the thought of it is very exciting!" She wore a creepy smile on her face.
Levi:"If only you could be that happy when you take showers. Speaking of which, you need to take one again, you reek and your hair is oily again."

Hange:"Hush, we're here. This should be the address that Erwin provided us." She then knocked on the door awaiting for someone to open it. Not long after, the door slightly opened revealing a young girl.
Hange:"Ohhh, you're so adorable! Are your parents here?"
Levi:"Careful, she might be the one in the reports."
Carla:"Who is it, Mikasa? Oh dear, what can I help you people with?" She was surprised to see two members of the Survey Corps at her house when Mikasa opened the door. In actuality, she was nervous what Eren would do if he saw the members.
Hange:"Oh yes, we're here on official business concerning two residents that live here. One being a man and the other a young girl, may we come in?"
Carla:"Uhm, yes of course, please come n. Would you like anything; milk, apples, tea?" Levi's ears perked up when she said 'tea'.
Levi:"I'll have some tea but you'll need to ask Four-eyes what she wants." The reply confused Carla when he said Four-eyes but realized it was Hange. Hange simply waved him off but declined her offer.
Carla:"So what brings you here this late at night?"
Hange:"Like I've said, we're here concerning the man and the young girl. Our commander read the reports filed out by the MP's and he came across the two I mentioned. Could I speak with the man?"
Carla:"Of course, Mikasa could you please get your father?" She complied and went upstairs to fetch him. The three all stayed quiet from the awkward silence with Hange secretly screaming inside, Levi enjoying his tea, and Carla becoming more and more nervous by the second. They all then heard heavy footsteps as they turned to the stairs, they then saw a mysterious man carrying Mikasa.
Mando:"You people called for me?"
Hange:"Yes we're sorry to disturb you, I'm Squad Leader Hange Zoe and this is Captain Levi of the Survey Corps. We're interested in talking with you about the incident that occurred earlier today. We understand you're not from around here, is this true?"
Mando:"Kid, go with Ca-"
Levi:"The girl stays, we have questions for her too." He intervened. He gave him a confused look but understood they might have read the part where she killed the men. Carla excused herself leaving the four at the kitchen table.
Mando:"Well to answer your question, no I'm not from around here. When I first arrived was when I first saved Mika from traffickers. I arrived here with the intention of getting her somewhere safe where someone at least knew her, in this case the Jaegers. Seems she didn't want me to go, so I stayed and watched over her. The next day, I was surrounded by a gang which came for her, I killed them all but two which slipped past me. When I came back, she was covered in blood and I saw the other two men dead and that's when I filed the report."
Hange:"Hm, well you're not lying with everything you just said being in the report. I'm curious to know what weapons you have on you and the armor as well, it's been reported that when they shot at you, it bounced off without harming you."
Levi:"The girl too, she supposedly displayed inhumane speed and killed them without mercy. At least, that was what had been reported by Mrs.Jaeger."
Mando:"My pistol is similiar to your rifles, but mine shoots something different than regular projectiles. My armor is highly resistant to all kinds of weaponry and the like, you'll have a tough time trying to dent it. About the girl though, I can't say how she went from being docile to suddenly doing something so dangerous."
Levi:"I see..."
Hange:"May we see your weapon?"
Mando:"I'm sorry but I hardly know you two, I've had my fair share of experiences with military personnel and they didn't end well to say the least."
Hange:"Ahhh, that's a shame but I understand. Now then, little Mika, have you ever experienced any of what you done before?" She asked the girl. Mikasa, who was sitting on Mando's lap, looked up at him unsure of what to say. The helmet prevented her from seeing whether or not he was even looking back at her so she explained anyway.
Mikasa:"No...I never killed anyone before. When I saw Mrs.Jaeger and Eren being attacked, I felt something in me directing me on what to do and how to save them. I didn't want to hurt anyone, I'm sorry."
Hange:"Ohhh~, I just want to squeeze you and keep you to myself! What you did may have been bad but you saved the Jaegers from something bad. Well since you've answered everything we wanted to confirm, we'll be leaving now and thank you for taking the time to chat with us~."
Mando:"Of course."
Hange:"Oh wait, would you perhaps would like to come by the Survey Corps HQ? If someone like you can kill eight men without breaking a sweat, maybe you can fight with us."
Levi:"Hange, don't.."
Mando:"Fight with you? What exactly are you fighting against?" The pair then looked at him as they were surprised he didn't know what they're up against.
Levi:"The Titans, they're man-eating beasts that usually are between 5-15 meters in height. They look like humans but they have no brain at all since they can't think for shit."
Mando:'Titans? Sounds interesting but they can't be any worse than Rancors or the Mudhorn. Might have to check it out later.'
Mando:"I'll think about it, come back in a few days and I should have an answer."
Mikasa:"!!!"
Hange:"Woohoo, we may have a new companion, Levi! I can't wait to see you and your abilities, goodnight!"
Levi:"Hah, she just couldn't keep her mouth shut. We'll be back then, bye." They both then left the house leaving the two at the table.
Mikasa:"Papa, you can't go out there! The Titans will eat you, they always kept us behind the walls for so long!" She bombarded him.
Mando:"Really?"
Mikasa:"Yes!"
Mando:"Well, I'll have to work extra hard to not get myself killed then. Don't worry kid, I know how to take care of myself."
Mikasa:"Could we sleep together, papa?"
Mando:"You can sleep on the couch and I'll sleep on the ground, don't worry, I'll be right next to you."

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun. Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
