《Dreams of Happiness (BonexScourge)》Chapter Four

Scourge landed beyond the fence with a thump.
Why did I help him. Brick is younger and could've grown to be stronger. But Bone...Bones been with me for so long. Almost since the beginning, has he always liked toms? When I think about it, he's never given any cat a glance...who is Bone? I thought I knew him, strong, smart, loyal, tough, I thought he never felt anything...but...what I just saw...that's not the Bone I know, he was weak, dumbfounded, he felt betrayed, he ...that's not like him. He never feels.
Scourge found that his laws had carried him to his sisters house in his thoughts, well, his half sister. "Princess" he rasped, looking down into her yard. She was sitting in front of the Willow tree with her tail wrapped around her paws, she looked serene and beautiful sitting there among the white and pink blossoms.
"Oh! Scourge, what is it brother? Troubles again? Not mass killing cats I hope" Princess was his savior, his angel, she steered him towards a better way. She showed him that killing was wrong. But he couldn't stop completely, so she made him promise that he wouldn't Jill too many.
"No, no, of course not, our agreement remains strong. And Willow is doing well in our clan" Scourge said, with a tilt of his head. "All the males love her"
"And I can guess that's she does not love them back" Princess chuckled.
"No, though I don't know why, many a handsome Tom have confessed their love to her, including one of my former henchmen Brick" Scourge said, not understanding.
Princess laughed "I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yet, when you get back to that clan of yours, examine closely, that cats that my small Willow takes interest in."

"W-well, ok, whatever you say sister" Scourge dipped his head and leapt down to join Princess behind the screen of petals, where the outside world couldn't get them. It was even more beautiful behind the trees weeping branches, there was a twoleg-made stream that trickled around the trunk into a small crystal pool of fresh blue water. Scourge couldn't help but dab his paw in it, creating small ripples across the pristine surface.
To his surprise, orange black and white shapes darted out from their hiding places, panicked by the sudden movement of the water, causing Scourge to jump back in surprise, bumping into Princess.
"Oh Scourge, your just like a kit. I assume you've never seen these type of fish before" Princess said, leading him with her tail back to the edge of the pool.
"No! I've only ever seen the big tuna that they display in the butcher shop, and the tiny goldfish that dart through the water in the Pet Store" Scourge said, eyes wide as he dabbed the water again and watched the huge fish dart through the blue pool.
"These are called Koi, with the size of a tuna, and the elegance of a goldfish, they taste amazing too" Princess said, her paw flashed into the pool and drew out a large black and white Koi, it flopped around until she bit it in the back of the neck.
Scourge looked on, impressed. They talked and ate in the shade of the weeping willow, exchanging stories, and Scourge became more and more relaxed. He was reluctant to go when Princess was called in by her twolegs, but it was getting late.
Scourge sat content by the skeleton of the Koi, he didn't want to move, so he climbed the Willow, and curled up in the crook of three branches that created the perfect platform for a small black cat.

But just when he felt himself drifting off, he heard familiar voices, and perked his ears, suddenly wide awake.
"Thank you for walking me to the Safe Place, your like the big brother I never had" a soft female voice chimed, Scourges heart picked up as he recognized Willows voice.
"O-of course, I've never went with anyone before, somehow it makes me feel less awkward, would you stay with me when we get there? I'm usually all alone" a deep rough voice replied, less confident then the first Bone! Bone someone? What? I thought he was a Tom lover? And loyal to me not Willow. Or some other cat. Is this what he does at night? What's the Safe Place?! Whatever it is, I'm going to find it, there's no organization on my land that I don't know about!
Scourge was surprised to find s shot of jealousy course through him as he leapt down from the tree, paws landing silently on the earth.
He leapt to the top of the fence, seeing Willow and Bone side by side, they didn't see him though, they were too far ahead and didn't even look back.
Scourge followed them through the sunset, and reached their destination at night.
It was a collapsed building, the door hung off its hinges and Brock had collapsed in the doorway, but there was a hole next to the door with claw marks and tufts of fur all around it, but there was a board in the way, it looked like it was impossible to open from the outside, so what were these idiots doing?
Scourge watched as Bone scratched gently at the wood, and a voice came from behind it! Scourge narrowed his eyes as the voice spoke.
"Who is it"
"Bone, Regular, with an accomplice that goes By Willow, Bone male and Willow female"
"Ayyyyy! Bone! Wassup buddy! Alls ya had ta do what say it was you"
The board slid to the side and a burst of light and noise came from it, voices spoke over loud music (video above of the music ;) ) and laughter echoed out, the place seemed to radiate happiness. Bone trotted in with Willow close behind. Scourge approached the door before the strange cat could close it.
Recognizing the cat, Scourge put a foot in front of the board "Scruff, what is this" he said sternly.
"A-Ah! Scourge! Leader! What are you doing here!?" Scruff said, eyes huge.
"Touring my territory, what is this place" Scourge hated that he was forced to talk over the music and talking, it made him look awkward and a lot less of an authoritative figure.
Scruff saw this and took a chance "It be a place for special cats sir" he said with a smile that tilted to the side.
"What type of special cats?" Scourge said, narrowing his eyes.
"Why doncha see fer yerself sir" Scruff said mischievously, he grabbed Scourge suddenly by the scruff and dragged him in, the wood slammed behind him and Scruff was gone in a matter of seconds.
Scourge, surprised and enraged, whipped his head around, but there were too many sights and sounds, he couldn't find Scruff.

Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.
