Dipper's POV
As Mabel and I came to the Mystery Shack for our first day of work, I wondered, What will Wendy and Soos would now look like. Oh I wonder if Wendy is hot-UGH stop it Dipper I thought you were over her?! Come on Dipper she's 18 get over her- I ran into a pole.
"HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Dipper I didn't know you loved that pole so much! You should marry it!" Mabel teased then laughed.
I rubbed my head, "Haha very funny."
"Yes it was extremely funny." Mabel said.
I started thinking again, What if Wendy doesn't remember me! What if she's to cool for me! What if...she's dating! What if she-I tripped and fell into a puddle.
"HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Dipper mud isn't going to make that pole like you!" Mabel yelled dying of laughter.
I got up and didn't say anything.
"Dipper take a joke." Mabel nudged me.
I just kept walking.
"Fine then." Mabel said crossing her arms.
When we finally got to the Mystery Shack we knocked on the door.
"Just one second!" Yelled a girl.
Mabel and I looked at each other then Mabel said, "Its probably Wendy."
I wish it is! I thought.
Finally the door opened...but the person opening it wasn't Wendy it was Melody.
"Oh my gosh Mabel, Dipper is that you guys?!" Melody asked.
"Hi Melody," I sighed. "Yep this is us."
"Hi Melody! I haven't seen you in so long!" Mabel said.
"Uh Dipper why are you covered in mud?" Melody asked.
"I fell." I replied.
"One second you guys wait here and I'll get Soos." Melody turned and ran off.
We waited there awkwardly.
When Soos finally came he looked at us then hugged us and said, "I've missed you guys so much!" Soos yelled.

When he stopped hugging us I saw a ring on his finger. "Soos...I know this is kinda a touchy subject but are you married?" I asked.
"Actually yes! Well kinda. I'm engaged to Melody!" Soos put his arm around Melody.
"Ahhhh you guys are engaged?!?! Omg I can't believe it!!! Match made!!!" Yelled Mabel.
"Um Soos where's Wendy?" I asked.
"She's in the kitchen because it's lunch for her. You guys can come in now." Soos said.
"Thank you Soos." I said then ran into the kitchen.
I looked at Wendy who was wearing my hat and then I remembered I was wearing her hat.
"D-Dipper?" Wendy said.
"You still wear my hat?!"
"Why wouldn't I?" Wendy said.
I ran up to Wendy and hugged her.
"Welcome back to Gravity Falls."

English is not my main language so if you notice any typos or grammar mistakes please tell me so I can correct them. Criticism and critique are more than welcome:) A chapter every Tuesday.*I do not own the cover image, it's taken from google.

This fiction is based on a short story I wrote inspired by a prompt on r/WritingPrompts. Contrary to my plans, I haven't sketched out the story in detail or written anything ahead of time. I've discovered I don't do well at that. I'm just writing this thing and we'll see where it takes us, OK? Nothing every came easy to Ryan Shakespeare, but as an elite British Army sniper he had found a niche that suited him, right up to the point at which he found himself summoned to a world far from his own to fulfil the job of a champion.
