Narrator's POV
The green being awoke. His arms were empty. He looked around.
"Mmm, what time is it?" He looked at the alarm clock on the side table. It read 9:51am. He stretched. He looked around for his love. "Shadow?" He couldn't get rid of that morning feeling. He pulled the covers off his body and sat on the edge of the bed. He rubbed his eyes and yawned. He was only wearing the bottom part of his pajamas.
He got up and walked to the bathroom. On his way there he stubbed his toe on the edge of the bed.
"Fuck..." He groaned and reached down to pinch his toe. "I hate mornings..." He opened the bathroom door and noticed the black hedgehog hovering the toilet. "Shadow?" The black hedgehog held his stomach. His face showed pain, a couple of tears had slid out of his eyes. "What are you doing here?"
"I... I don't feel too good..." The black one wined. Scourge went over to his side.
"Did you puke?"
"No, my stomach hurts... A lot..." He whimpered and went back to the toilet.
"Here, let's go back to bed." The black being got up and walked to his lover. His green lover helped him walk to the bed and lay down.
"Ug..." The Ebony groaned as he wrapped himself in the bed sheets. "Scourge... It hurts a lot." Yelped the black pet.
"Don't worry, let me get you an Advil." Scourge walked down stairs and walked into the kitchen. He looked into one of the top cabinets. "Wait, what was I gonna get?" Questioned Scourge. "Blah! Wake up Scourge! You were here for an Advil." He looked in the cabinet and got a small white pill with a glass of water.

He walked up stairs and into his room. His lover was no longer visible, he was under the covers groaning. "Hey baby, I got your Advil." The black pet took the covers from him and looked at his lover with tearful eyes.
"It's hurts a lot..." Cried the pet.
Scourge's POV
"I know, I know... Hopefully this will ease the pain." I handed him the glass and the pill. He swallowed it. "It'll take some time for the pill to take affect... Try to sleep for now." I smiled before kissing his forehead. Man was he boiling hot. If he doesn't get better by tomorrow, I may call the doctor.
Half an hour later I passed our room. Shadow was sound asleep. I don't want to wake him up, but he needs something to eat. I walked over to him and shook him lately.
"Mmm..." He groaned.
"Shadow wake up. I brought you some food."
"Scourge?" He asked. "What time is it?"
"It's 1:37 in the afternoon. I brought you brunch." I sat a tray down on the side table.
"What is it?" He asked falling back to the bed.
"Well I have toast, some chicken noodle soup, orange juice and some fresh cut peaches." The back pet lazily smiled.
"Strangely, that sounds good." He chuckled before sitting up. "And again, I am a bit hungry. Hm, where do I start?" He picked up a piece of toast, eating it in two seconds or so. Then he moved to the noodle soup and ate half of it in seconds. Then drank some juice.
He went to the second price of toast and the soup. He finished the two. Then he drank the orange juice. He ate the peaches as desert.

"Ah... That was good..." He fell back to the bed. "I'm stuffed. Thank you Scourge..." He kissed my cheek.
"No problem..." I walked out of the room with the tray.
The next morning I awoke with empty arms. I rushed over to the opened bathroom door. Shadow was vomiting. He stopped and looked at me. He was crying, he must have gotten up really early because he looked really tired.
"Aw baby..." I walked over to him.
"It hurts a lot Scourge. I can't bare the pain." He cried.
"I'm gonna call the doctor." I said helping him up. I placed him on the bed. I picked up the phone and dialed the number. "Hello? Um, I was calling to ask you if you could come over... No it's one of my friends... Well, he's been having really strong stomach pains, vomiting, headaches, and a really high fever... Okay, how long would that take? 10 minutes, that's fine. Thank you, I'll see you shortly. Alright, thanks."
I looked at Shadow. He was starting to roll into a little ball.
"Shadow no. The doctor will be here shortly okay?" I told him.
"But it hurts a lot..."
"I know, but he'll be here. Just a little bit okay?"
"Okay. Just a little bit." He unrolled and went under the covers. A couple of minutes later he was beginning to fall asleep. "Scourge..."
"Yes?"
"Can you sing me a song?" He asked.
"Uh... A song?"
"Mhm."
"Okay... Which one?"
"Whichever." He smiled at me.
"Uh... Okay." I cleared my throat. "Baby, every time I love you..." My voice went shaky, but it mute at the sound of the doorbell. "That must be the doctor. Be right back." I left the room and answered the door. It was the doctor. "Come in."
"Thank you." He walked in. "Where's your friend?"
"He's up stairs. Follow me." I took him up stairs, then into our room. Shadow was sleeping. I walked over to Shadow and shook him lightly. "Shadow wake up. The doctor is here."
"Hm?" He turned to me.
"He's here to check on you." I smiled.

Narrator's POV
"Well..." The doctor stuffed his hands in the pockets of his lab coat. Scourge came behind him as he closed the door to their room.
"Is he gonna be okay?"
"He'll be fine. He's just got the flu that's all. I subscribe TamyFlu." He handed the green hedgehog a yellow slip. "He'll be on it for a while, but once he finishes the pills the decease should be completely gone."
The green being gave a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness." He shook the doctor's hand. "Thank you so much for coming."
"My pleasure." The doctor walked out the door. The green hedgehog looked down at the slip of paper he'd receive, the looked up the stair case.
He looked at the slip, then at his car keys sitting on the small counter by the door. He grabbed his jacket and took his keys.
He put the note in his pocket and hurried over to his car.
"I'll be back Shadow..." He said as he drove far away.
