《Forget Me - [ j.jk ] ✔️》13

It's the day before the anniversary, which is tomorrow but you don't let it get to you. So you distracted yourself from it, by working. Since jungkook is not sick anymore so you didn't have to worry much too much about him.
"Want me to come over later tonight?" Luna says through the phone as you lock your car and begin to walk up to the cafe.
"No it's okay, don't worry to much about me lu, I'm over it now." You tell her as you actually weren't ready to let go.
You hear her sigh through the phone. "Liar but fine." You smile softly in victory. "Okay lu, I gotta go to work now but let me know if anythings wrong with my brother please." You say worriedly as even he moved out of your place last year, you still get worried.
"Will do and say hi to krystal for me." You hum in response before Luna ends the call. A sigh leaves your mouth as you enter the building and go upstairs to put your things away.
Jungkook was at his moms house so you knew that you didn't have to call knowing his mother will take good care of him.
"Hola mamiiii." Krystal says as you walks in the lockers room for the employees that work in the cafe. You give krystal a disgust look. "What?" She says softly with a pout on her lips. You roll your eyes while shaking your head. "Luna said hi." You say as you put your bag in your locker where you keep your things in.
"Hmm, does she deserve a hi when she LEAVES ME ON DELIVERED?!" She dramatically says with crossed arms. You furrow your eye brows confusedly. "Um you would say it anyways since you like her." You weirdly say as she was about to flick your forehead. "Yah, don't touch me." You whine as you smack her hand out of your face.
She rolls her eyes. "But you right though. I would still say hi back, why is she doing this to me? Why did I do to deserve this?" She whines. "Because god loves you."
"Does not." She sadly says.
"Does too." You reply back to her.
She frustratedly sighs. Now you think about it and now you regret coming to work.
"You know what, I need to go check up on my grandma so tell boss that I have errands to run." You say quickly before taking your things out of your locker and running out the locker rooms and running down the stairs before leaving the building.

"Yah dear, geu bang-eun naebeolyeodwo, naega jeongli halge." ( Yah dear, leave those rooms alone, I'll clean them up. ) Your grandma says as you already finished cleaning the fourth room. You shake your head. "Halmeonihago sip-eoyo. gedaga jega 7 sal ttaebuteo ileohge haewass-eoyo." ( I want to grandma, besides I've done this since I was seven years old. ) You say to your grandma as you don't want her to clean and not worry about her health.
When you first met your grandmother, you were seven while your brother was four years old. Your grandmother owned a hotel since she was twenty. It was her dream to have her own hotel, just like her parents but she wanted to take after her parents hotel in order to keep their dreams alive.
"aish, neon yeojeonhi nae ttal-eul saeng-gag nage hae." ( aish, you still remind me of my daughter. ) Your grandmother says dramatically. "geunyeoga jalhago issdago saeng-gaghaseyo?" ( do you think she's doing okay? ) You ask despite that her and her daughter stopped talking after she ran away with her husband and two kids as she wanted to protect her kids from something.
Your grandmother never understood why but she understood as she would of done the same if her kids were put into danger.
"jal moleugessjiman geunyeoneun jasin-eul dolbol su-iss-eulmankeum ganghago modeun geos-i jaldoemyeon naege jeonhwa hal geos-ibnida." ( I don't know, but she's tough enough to take care of herself and she'll call me when everything is fine. ) Your grandma says sadly while she slowly walks to her office before slowly sitting down onto her chair.
A sigh leaves her mouth as she was able to relax, You go next her small mini fridge she had in her office, and on top of the fridge, you get her pills. You take one of them out and get a water bottle and glass cup.
You go next to your grandma and slightly crouch down to her level, knees bent as you look up at her.
You hand her the pill and while she takes it, you open the water bottle and put it into the glass cup. She pops it into her mouth before you hand the water, she takes it and gulps it down.
You stand up and softly and gently rub her back. "halmeoni ginjang-eul pulgo nam-eun bang-eul jeonglihagessseubnida." ( you relax grandma, I'll finish up the remaining rooms. ) You say to her as she sees a sigh but nod with a small smile.
You return the smile and closed her office door. You sigh but grab the cart that had to clean sheets and cleaning stuff and go to the next room that needed to be cleaned out.

Hours past, as both amber and jungkook were busy. Amber helping her grandmother by cleaning the rooms that people have used while jungkook was at his mothers laughing and playing games with her.
It was starting to get late as jungkook and his mother were playing a puzzle game to see who can finish first.
"And....DONE! YES! I win I win I win I-" Jungkook gets interrupted while he was doing his victory dance, his hands slightly up in the air while he slightly moved his hips in a small circle. "o dagchyeo, neon sog-yeoss eo, sagikkun." ( oh shut up, you cheated, cheater. ) Jungkooks mother says with a pout.
Jungkook laughs as his doey eyes crinkle with his bunny smile is displayed on his face, making his mother's heart warm and melt as she loves her sons smile.
"hajiman neon nal salanghae eomma." ( but you love me mom. ) jungkook says while he sits next to his mother and puts his head on his mother's lap. His mother runs her fingers into his hair while his bunny smile fades away, being replaced with a small smile while his eyes shut close.
"dangsin-ui gwonli, naneun." ( your right, I do. ) She softly says while she begins to think about how she wished that the father was here to see his son grow up into a beautiful and handsome boy.
"abeojileul gieoghago sipdago joechaeggam-eul neukkiji maseyo." ( please don't begin to feel guilty that you wish that you can remember dad. ) Jungkook says softly to his mother as he knows that when's she quiet, she tends to wish she knew who was his father is and where he's at.
"salang-i eobs-eoyo, ije dangsin-ui keun meolileul nae muleup-eseo chiwojuseyo." ( no love, and get your big head off my lap now, it's late. ) Jungkook laughs at his mother's words. He nods and gives her a peck on the cheek saying goodnight before going to his childhood room.
He sighs as he flops onto his bed. He looks up at the ceiling with no emotions, he felt confused and sad. He feels as it's his fault that ever since he was small, he would ask his mother where his father was at and now that he's grown up and hasn't asked, he feels as it's his fault that now his mother thinks if only she remembered his dad but jungkook doesn't blame her if she couldn't remember.
Because she would of have remembered if his father didn't love her back. But he did. And jungkook knows that because his father probably can't remember his mother as well.
Two souls that have lost beautiful and hard memories of each other due to the curse, because they loved each other.
Jungkook sighs frustrated, he decides to take his phone out to check up on amber, she will be able to distract him from his thoughts. He sees the time and it was 11:55 pm. He shrugs knowing that she won't sleep until who knows.
After he sees her contact, he face times her, after four rings, she picks up.
"Hi tiny." Jungkook says with a grin. He sees that amber playfully rolls her eyes with a smile. "Hi bunny boy."
___
After five minutes has past of both amber and jungkook talking about their days and laughing. Amber decides to check the time and freezes.
She felt as her heart was beginning to beat fast, as her tears begin to weld up her amber eyes. She didn't notice that jungkook noticed her tears. He feels a slight sting in his chest.
"Hey am, I actually got to go, I have to get some groceries that my mom needed so I'll call you back when I'm done, okay?" Amber quickly gets back into reality and holds in her tears while she gives jungkook a fake smile and nods.
Jungkook hangs up and amber sighs in relief while tears she tried holding in, falls down from her eyes, rolling down from her cheek and falling onto her lap, staining a small wet spot from her jeans as tears continue to fall, without her permission.
___
Minutes later, with tears still falling as amber refuses to sob and cry her heart out. She hears a knock on her door. She quickly wipes her tears away before going downstairs.
She opens the door to see him in a white shirt with a jacket, his hood over his head with black jeans with his biker shoes. She sees that in his hand, he has his guitar while he's wearing a backpack behind his back.
"What are you doing here kook?"

Marakar
Far from the exploration he yearned to go on, Rae, the Kijah prince, finds himself in the middle of the impending war between Kijah'dar and Ga'ani. Unknown to him, or to the rest of the states, the Kijah Magister plots to overthrow the queen, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his plans. Marakar is a fantasy adventure series about the island states of Mar’narana (with focus primarily on the two states, Kijah'dar and Ga'ani). Tensions between the big players are rising, with more and more plots getting revealed, and powers are unexpectedly shifting. As the string of seemingly unconnected events grows taut, the smaller nations suddenly find themselves into the midst of things, struggling with the sudden shifting of their boards. On a more meta note, I am trying to develop two storylines parallel to each other. As you might have noticed, odd-numbered chapters are very different from even-numbered chapters. That’s because those are the two different storylines; odd-numbered chapters are in the present, while even-numbered ones are in the past. Once the two eventually meet I'll continue with just the present storyline. This story can also be found here where it currently updates every other Sunday (about twice a month). Feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read. :) tw/cw list (please take care of your mental health! Don't force yourself to read these chapters if they may harm you). -------> Chapter 14: hate crime description.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
