It's been weeks since jungkook got sick, you always took some days off of work to take care of him but he ends up scolding you but still, you didn't listen to him. He also stayed over at your place while here and there, he would be on the phone with his friends or his mother.

But as he was getting better and being healthy again, you were getting worse. As the day you were dreading to ignore was coming.

Every time you would wake up in the morning, you felt sick to your stomach as your head would pound hard, as you weren't able to sleep as well as thinking about it too much.

But you couldn't help it.

As amber constantly kept thinking about that day, jungkook would notice her strange behavior.

So he payed attention to her.

He noticed that she wasn't getting any sleep nor eating as much. He noticed that she would zone out and get completely lost in her thoughts.

But yesterday, it was late at night, and jungkook needed to go to the rest room but when he was about to open the door, he noticed it was cracked open, the lights were on.

Jungkook was confused but peeked into the cracked door to make sure amber wasn't in there but she was.

Staring at her reflection in the mirror, tracing over her under bags that were underneath her amber eyes.

He felt his heart ache, it was paining him, he wasn't enjoying this but he didn't want to push it but that's what frustrated him more.

He didn't know what to do.

But the only thing that came to his mind was calling her brother. They met one time when he sneaked out to meet his friend when amber was working one day, and when he met with his friend, Jonathan was there so they ended up hanging and instantly became friends as they were completely comfortable with each other.

But jungkook waited for amber to be downstairs while he went into the bathroom before he called Jonathan.

"Hey Johnny." Jungkook instantly says once Jonathan picked up the phone. "Wassup man, what's up?" Jonathan ask, thinking he was gonna get asked to hang out.

"Um...do you know any reason why your sister is looking more tired than usual?" Jungkook ask worried as he didn't know what to do and was hoping Jonathan knew something he didn't.

Jonathan suddenly looks down on the other side of the phone with sad eyes. He knows why.

But he realized that amber didn't tell him. So he can't tell him, only amber herself has to tell him. He sadly sighs. "Maybe she's stressing herself over work while she took cared of you." Jonathan said as he didn't know what else to say or try to make up an excuse.

"You sure? Because I'm getting really worried bro." Jungkooks says while looking down. Jonathan looks down, "nah man, she's fine, she's likes working but she always end up over working herself sometimes." Jonathan says while he zones out, staring at something but not actually looking at it as it was blurry.

Jungkook nods his head on the other side of the phone, despite that Jonathan can't see him but he didn't believe him. So he says his thanks and goodnight.

He wants to get to the bottom of this, and he will.

While jungkook hanged up, Jonathan sighs while slowly sitting on his bed. Stuffing his face into his hands, his elbows on his knees.

He always hated this month, that day. Because that day, is the only day amber let her emotions out. She only let them out once a year, while the rest of the year, she would refuse to let any emotions out.

And the only reason why is because on that very day, when they moved out from their grandmother and amber bought a place for her and Jonathan to live, was around February.

For years, she always hid her pain from Jonathan, and he hated it because she didn't want to worry him. And she doesn't even know that he knows.

Jonathan wasn't affected by it much because he was only 4 years old when it happened while amber was only 7 so he honestly can't remember what happened on that day but when he would ask amber, when he was younger, she would tell him to go play with his toys while she will help grandma cook and clean but when he would try to remember from that day, all he saw was that he was just embraced into ambers arms while she gently shushed him, crying in her arms while rubbing his back.

While she only said. "It's okay. We're gonna be okay."

And when amber bought a place once they moved out from their grandmother, on that same night was that day. And on that same night when he was going to check up on amber to see if she needed any help unpacking or something, he saw through the cracked door, her crying in ball, her arms wrapped around her legs while her face was in her arms.

And he hated seeing and hearing her sobs, trying to stay quiet while holding in her screams or to lash out. She cried so much, for 1 or 2 hours, as she held all these emotions after months of keeping it in.

But once she was done, she was emotionless, acting like she wasn't crying her heart out. He remember seeing her stop herself from crying anymore and got up, he remembers running to his room and pretend he was asleep while he heard the door open, amber walking in and sitting on his bed.

He remembers what she said to him. "I hope they aren't gone gone but I'll try to find them for you bud. I know you've always wanted to see them and asked me where are they but I can't bare to tell you. Because I don't want you in pain. I want you to live with no worries and be happy. I want you to act like a child...while you still can. I promised them, that I'll take care of you. To protect you if anything happened. And so don't worry bud, maybe one day. But I know your sleeping so goodnight bud." She lastly says while she pecks his forehead and tucking him in the blankets.

She always took care of him despite what age he was. And he only saw and heard this when he was only 15. But he never asked because he did what amber said. He continued to grow up and still live life with no worries just being happy.

But he's hoping that one day, that amber will be able to tell him the truth.
