《Mistake is mine》Chapter 2

*Sneha Pov*
We just arrived to the “Friends colony” where they all live together. This whole colony belongs to these seven families.
When they first reached Mumbai they stayed in some rented flats and worked hard for their company. Now that it has become a hit they build this a little far away from the city for peace.
This is very interesting one actually. Because it contains seven independent houses and some other small rooms separately for swimming pool, kids play room, and some others.
As it is not in the city the outer view is so great so they build two open places, one for gents and one for ladies to just chill and hangout.
I am actually proud of each and every one of them because they worked hard and now enjoying their lives. They are very smart too.
There is a little adding for each house. They build extra room on top of each one if any of their relatives or siblings comes here to visit them all.
The steps are there from outside of the house so we need not go to those rooms from inside the house.
But to my surprise no one does use these except me every year. I don’t know why?
We have to pass everyone’s house to reach my brother’s. When he stopped infront of his house, I got down and took out my luggage.
I calmly went inside my room which is on the terrace of their house. Bhabhi gave me a small smile when I am leaving.
Now as it is already evening, I am just sitting in my room lost in my thoughts. So I didn’t hear someone entering my room.
“Sneha!” She called me.
“Bhabhi? What happened?” I asked her.
“It is dinner time Sneha.” She replied sitting beside me.
“I will come in few minutes.” I said.
She nodded and sat with me for few minutes and asked “How are you Sneha?”
“I.. am.. Fine Bhabhi.” I replied stopping my tears.
“You know you can’t lie to me right. Tell me how are you feeling?” She asked me giving my hand a squeeze.

I couldn’t help myself and started crying again. She slowly moved me to let my head fall on her lap.
“I am feeling like I just lost everything Bhabhi, like I have no reason at all. You know right how close I am to them. Whenever I get hurt because of my loved ones they always tell me that it’s their loss to not love me.”
She calmly heard me and moved her hand on my head.
I continued saying “They were the only people who were there for me whenever I felt I am alone. But what will happen now? Can I live without them?”
“Don’t say like that Sneha. We all are there for you right. Don’t ever say that you are alone.” Bhabhi said.
“But I don’t feel like that at all Bhabhi. I just feel like I will be always alone from now on.” I said.
“That will go away Sneha. Don’t worry.”
“When?” I asked her.
“Today, Tomorrow or maybe after few days. You will move on from this in your life and you will be back to normal.” She said.
“But I don’t want to forget them.” I said getting up.
“You will never Sneha. You will always remember them and the memories you have with them but you will also make new memories with others and move on. Until that time arrives I will always be with you ok.” She said.
I nodded and hugged her.
Someone cleared their throat and we turned to saw everyone standing there. I saw my brothers eyes filled with tears.
He composed himself and said “We need to go for dinner.”
Bhabhi nodded and we both got up. They all gave me small smiles and left with my brother who didn’t looked at me at all.
“Where are we going Bhabhi?” I asked her.
“We are seven families right so in a week, each day we eat in any one of our house. By that we all can spend our time together and eat different type of food every day.” She explained.
“That is so cool Bhabhi.” I said.

I got a doubt and asked “What about Samrat?”
She raised an eye brow and smiled at me. Then she said “He can’t cook right so I cook every Saturday and Sunday even for his share.”
I nodded and followed her. Today we have to eat at Imran’s place.
When I sat along with other on the dining chair and looked at the food I remembered my Mom telling me before the day they were about to come near me that she will prepare all my favorite dishes for me.
Mom I will miss you whenever I take in a bite of food forever in my life.
“Sneha!” I hear Bhabhi calling me.
“Yeah?” I asked her and saw everyone looking one looking at me.
“You have zoned out.” Samrat said.
“Sorry about that.” I said and saw my brother shaking his head.
I sighed but couldn’t eat anything and just played with the food.
Then I saw their kids asking their parents to tell them some stories. And all the mothers are just asking the kids to drink the milk.
“Hey kids come over here.” I called them near me.
“You all want stories?” I asked them.
They all nodded and Vijay said “Tell us one please. You always tell very good stories aunty.”
“Yeah! Pleaseee..” Ajay said dragging the word. He is always this drama queen.
Remaining all gave me so cute faces and I just want to tell as many stories as I can.
But I said “I will but you all have to win a competition.”
“What is it?” Rakesh asked me excitingly. He is just like his father.
I shook my head and said “You all need to drink this milk along with me. If you all drink it before me then I will tell you all two stories.”
They all nodded and took the glasses from their mother and drank it. The funny thing is I don’t even have a glass in my hand.
Thank god! Because I too hate the plain milk like totally. Poor kids they are having so difficulty in drinking that.
Then I saw someone giving me a glass of milk. And the culprit is Samrat.
“No Thanks! You enjoy.” I said.
“Sneha! You can’t cheat kids like that. Drink this.” He said.
“She still hates it completely. I can assure you that she does more than these kids.” My brother said.
I am surprised hearing this from him and gave him a small smile but he just stopped himself from smiling and looked down at his food.
“Then you should definitely drink this.” Samrat said getting up from his seat and winked at Ramesh.
I was about to get up but they both stopped me.
Ramesh held my hands and Samrat plucked my nose and poured the milk into my mouth.
When it is finished everyone laughed at me even my brother. Some milk started to fall from my mouth towards my neck but Samrat pressed his finger and passed it towards the line and put it on my lips.
Has anyone had heart attack at the age of 20? Because I definitely had and turned around and saw no one noticed this.
“It is fair to not let waste even single drop right?” He asked me like what he did is just normal for him.
I didn’t reply but got up from my seat taking the kids with me to my brother’s house and inside my room.
I told two stories to them and they all enjoyed them so much.
They started asking for another one. So I said “I will tell one story everyday if you listen to me completely okay.”
They all nodded and when I asked them to sleep they immediately closed their eyes and slept on my bed.
After sometime their parents reached near my room to take them but I stopped them and said “Let them stay here. Just tell me when should they get up and be there in your homes. I will bring them.”
They hesitated but atlast agreed and left my room.
I think I will be fine with these kids in my life from now on and also Samrat maybe……..
