《Byakuya X Reader》🍯Setling in🍯

🍯-Chapter 1
Everyone stood silently in the gym. Byakuya's words lingered in the air. We had all tensed up, none of us wanted to die. I looked around at my classmates, none of them would kill someone, right?
Ishimaru cut through the air like a knife 'Now... I think it's important we all investigate the school, since we'll be here for... a while..,' He grimaced at the thought of it.
'Maybe we should go in groups? You know, so we're all safe?' Makoto pondered.
'That sounds like a good idea, I think groups of 4 would work well, 4 groups in total,' Celeste smiled, speaking in her accent as she did so.
Everyone agreed on Makoto's idea and so everyone was spilt into groups of four. I decided to stay away from Mukuro, I don't know why she was impersonating Junko at this point. I reluctantly walked into the only group missing a member. I was paired with Aoi, Sakura and Byakuya.
'Where should we investigate first?' I pulled out my handbook, the screen turned on, displaying your name. 'Y/N L/N' it read. I began to flick through the screens, arriving at the map and held it out for the other three to see.
'Oh! How about we go to the kitchen and the dining hall, usually there are emergency exits in a kitchen, you know, just in case,' Hina grinned.
'I suppose that shall be are first stop,' Byakuya added before I put my handbook back in my pocket.
We walked along the purple lit corridor, arriving at the dining hall. It was a rather large room with lots of tables inside, after all, it was a canteen/cafeteria. I looked at the windows that weren't bolted up. I sighed, blankly staring at the trees outside, surrounded by walls. 'Staring at it won't make it go away, peasant,' Byakuya crosses his arms. I mutter under my breath and just went back to investigating. He seemed like a prick. If I did decide to kill, he was the top of my list.
I walked into the kitchen, following Hina. There was a rack of kitchen knives on the wall, it's scary how weapons are so easily accessible. Hina opened the fridge, it was fully stocked, but that might only last a few days. Before I could think, monokuma appeared. He began to explain that the fridge would restock every night and we would never run out of food. In his words it was 'no fun to have you die from starvation'. At least we have food, I sighed. But, there wasn't a way out from here, no exit at all.

We gathered back in the dining hall, I pulled out my handbook, displaying the map again. We decided to go to the dorm area, perhaps there was something I was our rooms. The doors all had small pixel art of us along with our names. My room was between Junko's room and Celeste's room. I opened the door to my room.
The room had red walls with a white trim. By the door, stood a plant. A monitor was hung on the wall, we weren't free from monokuma at all. Just like all the other rooms, the windows had large metal plates over them. On the small round table, there was a key with my name attached to it. I assumed it was my room key. I sat on the bed, it was surprisingly soft for its rough look. A camera was looking straight at me, another reminder I was never alone. I walked over to the desk, I opened the drawers to find a sewing kit that contained a map of the human body's vital organs. I opened up more drawers that contained documents on forensics, below that were types of guns. It seemed Monokuma knew my real talent, but still provided me with both. I opened the chest of drawers, it contained more outfits, unfortunately, I had no pijamas, it was just my normal clothes. I suppose I would just have to wear my shirt to sleep. I opened the door to the bathroom, there was a shower, a toilet and a sink. I sighed, there wasn't any leads to escaping yet. I left my room, leaning on the wall waiting for Sakura, Hina and Byakuya. They each came out of their rooms. They all had similar rooms, but Byakuya had a toolkit rather than a sewing kit. It seemed to be a gender thing.
'Where shall we go next?' Sakura asked as I pulled the map out again.
'Hmm... well, maybe there's something in the trash room, I mean it must exit somewhere!' Hina tried to encourage us. We agreed and walked along the corridor to the room.
'It doesn't seem there's an exit here,' I sighed, looking into the incinerator. Just as we were about to leave, after coming up with several dead ends, Ishimaru ran in.

'Everyone! We are having a meeting in the dining hall now, to discuss our findings!' He stated. 'Come as soon as you can!' We all followed him out, heading to the dining hall. We opened the doors, being greeted by the 12 other students who had already gathered.
I sat down at the table, crossing my legs as I leaned back. 'Right! We should discuss what we found!' Taka declared.
Hina stood up, she was very energetic 'My group looked in here, the kitchen, our dorms and the trash room! We didn't find any way out, but in mine, Sakura's and Y/N's room we all had sewing kits while Togami had a toolkit. Also, the fridge is fully stocked of food!'
'It may be full, but we'll run out eventually...' Chihiro looked sadened.
'Oh, don't worry out that. Monokuma told us it restocks every night,' I chimed in 'There's enough food to last us a lifetime,'
'Ah, so we'll be able to adapt to this lifestyle,' Celeste smiled.
'Adapt? The fuck are you on about?' Mondo cracked his knuckles.
'If we want to survive we must adapt,' She smiled again 'If you don't adapt, you will die,'
'Meh, it's probably better, to adapt, guessing no one found and exits then,' You rested your legs on the table.
'Y/N, your conduct is disrespectful! Get your feet off the table!' Taka commanded. I ignored him, merely rolling my eyes.
I eventually took my feet of the table when a few of the students decided to cook some food for us all. Hina, Taka and Leon cooked the food, it was actually surprisingly good. They made a simple meal; pasta. Some people didn't eat the food, such as Byakuya and Chihiro, she had already gone to bed, but Byakuya said he didn't want to eat 'peasant food' and disappeared. Afterwards, we decided to make our own set of rules together, we would inform byakuya and chihiro on the in the morning.
-Don't go out after curfew (10pm)
-Meet in the dining hall for breakfast every morning (7am)
-Meet in the dining hall for dinner every evening (8pm)
-Always tell others of important information
After we discussed the rules, I checked the time. It was near 10pm, we all split up, returning to our dorm rooms before the announcement. Before I could go into my dorm, I had a tap on my shoulder, it was Mukuro. 'We need to talk, Y/n,' She looks at me, I sigh giving in. She pulls me into her room. It looked identical to mine, but with slightly different decor.
'Okay, Mukuro, do you wanna explain why are you Junko?' I crossed my arms as I leant against the wall. She looked down before speaking.
'Junko... there was an accident... She was hit by a drunk diver and killed... I decided to take her place.. I didn't want people to know she was dead,' she looked down. I felt tears prick at the side of my eyes. Junko was dead? I had know her for most of my life. Sure, sometimes she made it hell by pulling weird stunts like when she destroyed her sandcastle just to inflict despair on our other fried, but that's just what friends do. 'I'm sorry y/n... it was just before we came here too,' She sighed slightly.
'I think.. I'm going to sleep,' I left her room, opening my own and slipping back inside. I locked the door behind me, making sure. The announcement hadn't sounded yet so I hopped into the shower before the water would shut off. Afterwards, I discovered the lock on my door, remembering someone saying that only the girl's bathroom's have locks. I dressed in the shirt that I would wear under the top part of my dress. I slipped into my bed, holding the covers close to me. I laid in the bed, thinking about the whole day.
First we're trapped in a school, then we have to murder our classmates and now Junko was dead because some idiot couldn't resit being stupid?

Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
