Theresa sat in her seat, glaring, as everyone laughed at Jessica's speech.
"When we were 10, they asked again. We answered rock star, cowboy or, in my case, a gold medalist. But now that we've grown up,
they want a serious answer. Well, how about this? Who the hell knows?"
This time Theresa scoffed, earning a smack on the shoulder from Alice, who sat behind her.
"Oh give me a break!" Theresa said quietly, but loud enough for the vampire to hear her.
"Yeah!" Someone yelled, causing Theresa to roll her eyes.
"This isn't the time to make hard-and-fast decisions-"
"That's what she said" Emmett said, causing Theresa to giggle.
"This is the time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere. Fall in love a lot."
Theresa watched as Bella grabbed Edwards hand. The two lovingly look at each other. She felt Jasper's eyes on her, but didn't dare to turn around.
She loved him. Through thick and thin. Whether he was major or just Jasper Whitlock Hale, the vampire would always have her heart and deep down they both knew that. Theresa was just still on the way to forgiving him.
Theresa was torn from her thoughts when she heard clapping around her. Theresa slowly brought her hands together and clapped for the girl.
She supposed today would be a good day to start forgiving people. If not for them, then for her.

That was it.
As Theresa began to walk up the steps to the podium to receive her diploma, she heard a whistle.
The girl looked towards the crowd to see Charlie standing up, fingers in his mouth, whistling for the girl.
"That's my girl!"
Theresa felt tears in her eyes. She never had someone so proud of her in her life.
The tears began to fall down her cheeks as Esme and Carlisle stood up next to Charlie, clapping and smiling at the new high school graduate.
As Theresa shook her principals hand and was given her diploma, she couldn't help but smile. She had finally felt peace, for the first time in a long time.
