Theresa smoothed out the bottom of her dress as she stared at herself in the mirror.
The dark blue ball gown fit perfectly on her, much to her surprise. She couldn't tell whether the newfound confidence she had sparked from inside herself or because of Jasper. Maybe both.
She thought that the blue ball gown may have been too much for a junior prom, but Alice quickly got rid of that thought by telling her, "You're with a Cullen now, everything we do is extra."
Theresa took one last look at herself in the mirror before turning around to grab her purse off of the bed, only to be stopped instead by Jasper standing there, staring at her in awe.
Theresa was about to yell, shocked, but was stopped by Jasper quickly running over to her and placing his hand on her mouth, instantly calming her down.
"I know Edward just waltzes into Bella's room whenever he feels like it, but we need to have rules" Theresa said as Jasper took his hand off of her mouth, still staring at her as she spoke, "Like what if I was getting changed or-" Theresa said, but was cut off by Jasper placing his arms around her waist, leaning her down, and kissing her.
"You are beautiful" He said, causing her to blush.

"I can't believe you're making me do this" Theresa heard Bella say, making her laugh lightly, as Edward picked Bella up, casually, to help her walk into the mansion that the prom was held at.
Jasper and Theresa walked into the junior prom, hand in hand, behind Edward and Bella, it Theresa stopped to look around, letting the couple in front of her spend some quality time together. Theresa looked around at the Monte Carlo style prom. The decorations were gold and black, there were gambling tables set up, although no one could gamble, so they were essentially just gaming tables, and roulette wheels were people were gambling for prizes, while others danced on the dance floor, where Mike was currently djing with Angela by his side. The rest of the teenagers were just socializing with their friends.

Theresa began to notice as people began to stare at her and Jasper. The two haven't really made it official, although considering the events that had just happened this past week would say differently, but their fellow classmates had no clue of that.
"So," Jasper said, gaining Theresa's attention, "This is a prom?" Jasper asked her as she raised an eyebrow, "You've never been to one?" Theresa asked him as Alice walked by the couple, "Trust me, I've tried!" She yelled before disappearing back into the crowd.
"No, I haven't" Jasper answered, even though Alice already answered Theresa's question.
Theresa smiled lightly before talking, "So I'm your first prom date?" She asked as Jasper nodded, "Only ma'am" He said, causing her to blush.
"Yo, Jaz!" Emmett yelled, gaining the couples attention, as Emmett danced with Rosalie and Alice on the dance floor, "Dance with us!" Emmett yelled, causing Jasper to shake his head as Theresa smiled, "Oh come on," She said, gently tugging on his arm, "it couldn't kill you.
"Really? The vampire joke?" Jasper asked her with a raised eyebrow, causing Theresa to laugh before letting go of his arm and running towards the others, turning around to do a finger motion at Jasper to follow her.
"If I wasn't already dead, she'd be the death of me" Jasper said under his breath before following his girlfriend to the dance floor where his family, minus Edward and Bella, were, dancing.

By the end of the night Jasper and Theresa walked outback to a beautiful lit up canopy, where Edward and Bella stood, dancing.
They were about to join the couple, but when they started to kiss Jasper made a face, causing Theresa to smile at him before turning her attention back to the couple, "Stop being such a baby" Theresa said, smiling at the couple before speaking again, "They're cute."

"Edward doesn't want to change her" Jasper said, offering his arm to Theresa to hold, which she gladly accepted, "But she does?" Theresa asked Jasper as he nodded.
"Why wouldn't he want to spend the rest of his life with her?" Theresa questioned as they began to walk away from the couple and the canopy, into the backyard.
"The process to change someone into a vampire is dreadful, to say the least" Jasper said, causing Theresa to raise an eyebrow, "How?"
"You first have to stop drinking someone's blood, which is hard to do, period," Jasper said, sighing and looking down at Theresa before continuing, "And then that person is in excruciating pain while it happens. When Maria turned me I thought that my veins were on fire, baby I wished for death." Theresa looked up at Jasper, looking into his eyes.
"When did it stop?" She asked him as he moved a strand of hair from in front of her face to behind her ear, "Maria said I was asleep for a day, but it went quickly for me. Carlisle said it was probably because I was in perfect health when I was turned."
"Would you turn me?"
"Yes, but only if you wanted me to. I think sometimes," Jasper looked away from Theresa, pausing before continuing to speak, "I think sometimes that even if you say no, I'd still do it. For my own selfish reasons," Jasper made a disgusted face as he thought about it, "Just to keep you with me, I would put you through all that pain, loosing your family, having no children, not being able to go out into the sun-" Jasper said, but was cut off by Theresa, "You can't go out into the sun?" She asked him as he turned his attention back to her and smiled, "You still have so much to learn about my kind, but yes. I don't burn, but I-" Jasper paused before continuing, "sparkle."
Theresa stared at Jasper for a minute. Looking into his eyes and scanning over his facial features with her eyes, trying to tell if he was serious or not before laughing loudly.
"Sparkle?" Theresa asked as she continued cracking up at the word he used, "Alright, knock it off darlin'" Jasper said with a smile as he pulled her into his chest, hugging her tightly.
"I'm sorry, go on" Theresa said as she pulled away from Jaspers embrace, wiping her eyes clean of the tears that slipped out when she was laughing.
"It's up to you, but while you are human-" Jasper said, looking at the ground before looking up where his dazzling eyes met Theresa's, "I will give you the protection of my body, if need be, you have it" Jasper said, catching Theresa off guard.
"Jasper-" Theresa said, but was cut off by Jasper "I have waited an eternity to be with you, nothing," Jasper said, grabbing Theresa's face in his to make sure she was looking into his eyes, before continuing, "And I mean nothing will ever change that."
"Jasper?"
"Yes darlin'?"
"Kiss me."
"I thought you'd never ask" Jasper said, his voice hoarse, as he leaned in and kissed Theresa.

Memoirs of A Healer/Clinical Social Worker: Autobiography of Bruce Whealton
A loving spouse. A healer. How does this person cope with evil villains willing to destroy everything? They convicted the victim... now how does the victim goes on with life as a healer? As the book opens, I was in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt in December 2019. What starts as a simple conversation with another patient changed my life. Most of the rest of the book tells the reader how I got to this point. I experienced profound injustice between 2004 and 2006. By opening with a story about suicide, I want the reader to understand that the injustice was not just something that happened long ago. This book is an account of all the accomplishments and successes that I had in overcoming tremendous odds and challenges. Growing up, I was paralyzed by shyness and lacked social skills, and so the idea of becoming a psychotherapist never occurred to me when I went off to college. I learned that I could overcome those limitations. I wanted to bring that hope and healing to others. Activities like that make life meaningful and bring me joy. The reasons why I was suicidal in 2019 were set in motion in 2000 when a meteor would come crashing down upon the life that I had built leaving me powerless to do anything other than watching everything burn to ashes - the home that I had, the life I had known, the love I had, my career, everything would disappear almost as if it never existed. In that one the year 2000, I could not imagine things could get any worse. But the nightmare would continue for the next few years... culminating in a suicide attempt in 2019. Now, I am connecting with others, building relationships, and finding a reason to live again. I am writing my own story of my life. I will fight against the injustice of the past and offer my gifts to the world. I have so much to offer. I have quite a story to tell. I hope you will help me to move on with my life.
