Virgo
A long, silent month passed. Scorpio didn't show his face around school, riding far away the first chance he got. Libra visited Leo while he was in the hospital, helping him around when he came back to school. The two had clearly confessed and had a moment, but Leo's painkillers must have made him forget what he said and did at the hospital. Still, there were sparks flying over there.
"Hey, a little help?" Libra looked over at Sagittarius, who was proving to be of absolutely no assistance in helping a (slightly) immobile Leo. "Nah, I'm good." Libra stuck her tongue out at her best friend before throwing Leo's arm over her back and hauling him away. Leo smiled, nestling closer to Libra's dark chocolate curls. "You want me to drop you?" she called. Leo instantly moved away from her hair, smiling awkwardly.
It was the end of school on Friday and we were all excited to be free. Leo was slowly getting back on his feet. He was getting crutches on Sunday. The wheelchair would be gone, as would Libra carrying Leo up stairs (the girl was much stronger than we thought.) Libra had been so protective of Leo all month. She stuck around to take care of him and made sure he didn't get hurt in any way. According to Sagittarius, this was Libra's biggest tell when she liked someone-the protecting. I definitely shipped it.
"Hey, Virgo." Capricorn came up next to me. "I was wondering if you... would like to go to the shopping centre with me tomorrow." Capricorn spoke in monotone, like he always did. "I'd love to!" I replied. "That's great. I will meet you at 12pm sharp. I anticipate our.... social meeting." He turned to leave. I hesitated as he turned away, poking his shoulder gently. "Yes?" He turned to face me. "You don't have to be so formal with me, Capricorn." He nodded stiffly. "Of course." He frowned. "I will... catch you later."

He turned, his immaculate posture catching my eye when he turned his back to me. "Well... Someone's staring." I heard the sound of screeching wheels before I heard Libra. She was wheeling Leo up toward me."You don't have to be so formal with me," Leo mocked, earning himself a smack across the head from Libra. "Shut up, Leo, don't tease Virgo about her little crush..." The two began giggling like fifth graders.
"I'm going to be throwing magnoliophytas at their wedding..." Libra wheezed. That was the scientific term for flowers-something we had to learn in biology. "And I'll be one of Capricorn's groomsmen at the conjugality...." Leo was practically squealing. That was a synonym for wedding-something I learnt through completing extension English activities. The two continued giggling. I rolled my eyes, walking away.
"You can't hide your feelings, Virgo!" Libra yelled. "Your myocardium is bursting with feelings for Capricorn!" Leo called, still giggling. Real smart-using the medical term for heart. What idiots. I whistled for a cab, flagging one down and plugging in my earpods to drown out the horrible old music the cab driver had put on.
.....
I looked hesitantly at myself in the mirror, wondering what Capricorn would say upon seeing me. Libra stood from my bed, brandishing a handful of makeup products. "Sit down." She patted my chair, getting to work with the makeup while making small talk with me. "Well... how are you hoping this goes down?" She began to apply some bronze blush to my cheeks. "I don't know... I mean, I'm not even sure if I like him." Libra nodded. "Close your eyes." I felt a light, tickling sensation on my eyelids.
"Well, this is your chance to work things out. Just be natural around him and.... think of what you feel when you're with him." Libra stepped back. "Well, my work here is complete." She smiled, looking at me. "In more ways than one." She packed up her stuff and left. I turned to look at my makeup in the mirror. It was nothing short of gorgeous. Feeling confident, I walked out the door, ready to meet with Capricorn.

The Trials of Bethany
Bethany, is a young girl who didn't expect anything more from her life than to spend her time churning butter and trying to ignore the abuse of her fellow village members. In any other world this would be a reasonable expectation for a person in the middle ages. But Bethany was lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it. Because her world was about to get a whole lot bigger, and a whole lot scarier. The Trials of Bethany, is a Gamelit story of a system arriving on earth in the middle ages with the characters being teleported away regularly to face trials to earn their skill levels. As such there won't be a flood of skills however there will be constant progression and other hidden treats. The story will be evolving as it's written and as always aspects of the story/world are prone to change. This is my first serious attempt at writing and my first time publishing anywhere so all constructive criticism is welcome. Currently uploading Tuesday & Friday with occasional bonus chapters.
