☾unavngivet - ☼
Haechan woke up early. With sleepy eyes, he glanced around Mark's room. The said was sleeping on the mattress soundlessly, his raven hair swept away from his face, giving Haechan a perfect look at his features.
He moved to the edge of the bed where he rested his head on his hands, just relaxing to the ethereal sight of Mark's sleeping state.
And there his heart went again, pumping faster and faster. He mentally shushed it and tried to ignore the feeling. He wondered why he always became nervous at the most random times.
Oh, how wrong he was on that one. "Nervous"
"Haechan?" Mark fluttered open his eyes and glanced around the crystal lit room until he found Haechan's little head peeking down at him.
"Good morning," the younger whispered.
Mark smiled and stretched out his body. "Are you ready to go to the summer house today?" he heaved in a long yawn. "You'll get to meet my friends."
"Friends?" Haechan lifted his head and tilted it to the side, a clear frown showing on his lips. "Like Jaemin?"
Mark froze and had his eyes open wide, remembering everything that happened yesterday. He hadn't spoken to Haechan after the younger had mentioned that memory.
At first, he thought maybe Mini had told him about it and that Haechan was just playing with him, but he soon realized that couldn't be the case. It was like his mind completely shut off after that, unable to move, speak, or think. Haechan had started crying and he just sat still on the bench, staring onto the playground.
He avoided the younger the entire car ride back and it seemed to have affected him slightly.
What was he supposed to do?
Act like Haechan didn't just remember something only knew? Act like Haechan was normal?

In his mind, that was a no. In his mind, he was extremely scared and all he wanted was to drop Haechan off at the police station.
But in his heart, it was a yes, and Mark always follows his heart, so he acted as if nothing had happened.
Deep down his guts still told him to be absolutely terrified, because the angelic boy is definitely not normal. Far from normal is what he is. Mark wondered if was psychic, crazy, or maybe even magical? A wild thought crossed his mind and he quickly shook it off with a little grin.
Maybe Haechan was an alien?

Mark had tried ignoring what happened yesterday, but no matter how hard he tried, it was always swimming in the back of his head.
"I found some clothes!" Haechan came running downstairs with some of Mark's clothes in his hands. The older had given him permission to chose whatever clothes he wanted to wear for the week ahead as he had plenty he didn't use.
"Pack it into this," Mark mumbled and passed the younger a bag he had packed Haechan's toothbrush and favorite shampoo into.
The younger's smile faded and he took the bag with a nauseous feeling in his stomach. He knew why Mark was acting the way he was and it was destroying him because he had no idea why he remembered something that belonged to Mark's memories.
And that wasn't everything.
Haechan wouldn't tell Mark, afraid the older will hate him more, but he had remembered a lot of things since yesterday.
He remembers Mark blowing out nine candles on his ninth birthday.
He remembers Mark holding Minhee in his small arms days after she was born.
He remembers Mark going to a haunted house with someone named Jisung and Chenle.

And he remembers Mark telling Mini a story of a perfect boy named Haechan.
All those memories are so vivid and unusually real. He wants to say they're all just something he imagined but that isn't the case. Haechan knows very well these memories are as real as the one he had at the playground.
The thing is though, what confuses Haechan the most about everything, that he doesn't see the memories through Mark's eyes. He sees the scenarios happen like he was standing or hovering above them all, like a storyteller or a ghost.
And now he stood frozen again, scared and confused about who or what he is.
Because in all honesty, Haechan doesn't think he's anything close to a human person anymore.
☾ ☼
The sound of the doorbell resonated through the house which lit a light in Mark's ever so cloudy state. He took his bags and made his way to the front door, the younger brunette waddling behind him with his own bag, keeping space between Mark and him as he didn't want to make Mark angry or uncomfortable.
On the contrary, Mark is sad that Haechan is being so careful around him. The younger always liked to keep close to him and he was really clingy which made Mark feel like he had to protect him, but now that he kept so much space, Mark felt empty.
He wanted to just forget what happened and have Haechan laying on his chest, fiddling with the hem of his shirt while asking questions about life.
But if the younger wanted space then Mark would let him get it.
And the moment Mark opened the door to greet the person who was behind it, Jeno came in and hugged Mark tightly. They pulled away and exchanged a few words, completely obnoxious to the person who was standing behind Mark.
The person who became dizzy at the sight of Jeno, his head starting to hurt and tears tickling his eyelids before his knees became weak and he met the hard wooden floor with a thud.
"Haechan!?"

#Call Cthulhu
An eldritch comedy. After Cthulhu is summoned into the world, the whole place goes to shit. Things really got out of hand after Cthulhu got nuked. Alex and Julius, a pair of brothers, try their best to make it in a North America reshaped by an eldritch apocalypse. “Stop right there Philip!” Julius interrupted, the vein on his temple starting to throb. “I do not want to hear another simile about what magic is. I have had magic explained to me by three cult leaders, a wizard, and a cannibal. I've heard that magic is like a rainbow, all its parts blending together. The human unconsciousness, powerful and unknowable. A body, you don't want to eat the heart straight away. I am sick and tired of people telling me what magic is. I know damn well what it is.” He drew a breath, interrupting his rant. “Magic is a bad joke. A whole lot of setup, for some nonsense punchline. This whole god-damned apocalypse is an eldritch comedy.”
