"So are you up for it?"
"I don't know Jeno," and he truly didn't know.
Jeno had asked to spend a week of their summer vacation together at a summer house Chenle, a friend of theirs, owned. When they were younger Mark, Jeno, and Chenle used to spend every summer there together with three other boys, but once they got older the tradition started to fade away. The six split up and stopped hanging out eventually. Jeno was the only one Mark really kept in contact with.
To be honest, Mark was really eager to see them all again. It was just a long time to spend away from his family in a time where he should be with them every second.
You see, Mark lives far away. So far away from everything, out in the middle of nothing, nowhere, and anywhere. There are literally six kilometers to the nearest grocery store and his school lies an hour away, which is why he lives at Jeno's house in the weekdays.
That's also why he dosen't see his family that much, and why he desperately wants to spend the whole summer vacation with them before school starts again.
Jeno goes to the same school as him just a year below and lives in a big house. His parents are really sweet, so Mark has no problem with living there. He just really misses his family.
"Come on, Mark! You don't have to stay there for the whole week. You can stay there for one day if I care, as long as we get to meet up, all six of us," Jeno rambled, his mouth full a popcorn.
"Nojam! Be quiet!" Mini yelled and smacked Jeno's arm as she was having a hard time focusing on the movie they were watching when Jeno kept talking. She passed him a threatening glare before cuddling herself into his arms again.

Jeno apologized and Mark couldn't help but shake his head.
They were currently watching Mini's favorite movie and Mark had gotten the great idea to make popcorn and get blankets. They had quickly started cuddling, Mark and Jeno up against each other and Mini in between Jeno's legs. Sometimes Mark wondered if his little sister liked Jeno more, that thought would quickly get dismissed once Jeno did something dumb and Mini would scold out on him.
"I don't think I'm going, Jeno," Mark whispered with a sigh. "I'll end up feeling so lonely. Chenle has Jisung, and you have Renjun and Jaemin."
"W-What do you mean?" Jeno stuttered, his cheeks flushing a deep shade of red.
The older grinned widely. "Don't act like there isn't something between you three. There's always been," he said and grabbed some popcorn, stuffing his face and turning his attention back to the movie, knowing very well Jeno was heating up next to him.
