i gasped, holding my arms away from myself and looking down at my soaked white shirt.
my cheeks flushed as i tried to find any possible way to cover the fact that my bra was on display for the whole world to see.
'oh my god i'm so sorry.' alejandro said frantically, obviously embarrassed too.
i tried to think about what to do whilst nat tried to covered me.
'here, y/n, take this.'
i turned around to see mattia peeling off his hoodie and handing it over to me.
'thank you mattia.' i said, being genuinely grateful.
'cmon lets get you a new shirt.'
i nodded, pulling his massive hoodie over myself.
'natalia you can stay with kai and ale.' he said.
i froze. i could not be alone with mattia. but, i didn't want to seem rude after he'd just been nice to me though.
nat nodded and began walking away with the others.
i sighed and started walking beside mattia in the other direction.
'thank you for this.' i said.
'oh nah you don't have to thank me.' he said.
i smiled, why was he being so nice to me.
'i didn't think you could get any prettier, but that smile is definitely a game changer.' he beamed down at me.
i giggled and pushed him playfully. maybe he wasn't so bad after all.
'lets go to zara, i've been wanting to get a top from there for a while now.'
'sounds like a plan.'
when we got there, i picked out the most simple top i could find.
'you can do better than that cmon.' he said.
'really?' i laughed, 'fine, you can pick me something.'
'bet.' he said, immediately drawing out a cropped, lilac corset top.

it was cute, i had to admit.
'well..' i teased, snatching it from him and holding it up against myself, 'fine it's cute.' i said, seeing his nervous expression melt away.
i checked the price tag and bit my lip. it was quite expensive, i had the money for it, obviously, but it was probably around 1/3 of the money my mom had given me for the entire weekend.
fuck it.
we headed towards the checkouts and i placed it infront of the cashier.
as i dug around in my pockets for the cash, i saw mattia press his phone against the reader.
i gasped, realising that he had paid for me.
'mattia what the fuck.' i whispered at him.
he ignored me, picking up the bag and preparing to walk away.
'coming or no?' he said.
i followed him until we had left the store.
'why would you do that?' i said.
'it doesn't matter, here, take it.' he said, handing me the bag.
'thank you, mattia, for everything.' i said.
he grinned, his perfect smile radiating contentment.
we found a single bathroom and mattia held the door open for me.
i walked in, but before shutting the door i looked around cautiously.
after seeing that there was no one around, i decided to nod my head towards him, inviting him in with me.
mattias eyes slightly widened in realisation. after a moment of consideration, he stepped in, shutting the door behind him.

Age of Regression
[Author's Thoughts] Dropped, obviously. Still, it's my first attempt at a novel and I do love what I did with it. Big step towards learning. Far in the past, there was a civilization much more advanced than the one of modern times. Evidence of that time remains, but it is all but shrouded in mystery as there remains no way to decipher it. Currently, normal individuals wage war with guns and smaller machinery, but those who can wield a higher power vary in their abilities. Scales, born upon humans, are a mystery in their origins but are the source of their abilities and their way towards advancement. Although normally powerless, humans have adapted to the scales and thus can connect with the power of the universe, much like the other races that inhabit its various corners. In one of these corners, there exists a human settlement where Lancing follows his father's footsteps to begin his own ascent to power. However, he finds he is far different from his gifted father, whose scales below his eyes were among the purest ever seen, reaching gem-like quality. Far from perfect, Lancing shows no desire to give up and ceaselessly moves forward to reach the peak of the universe. However, he begins to notice that the mysteries of the universe slowly begin to unravel in front of his eyes. To reach the heavens, Lancing must carve his own path.
