The sound of phone ringing echoed in Ahluwalia Mansion. Raj's phone was continuously ringing. Raj picked up the call.

Raj - (deep breath) Hello?

Caller - (hastily) Hello? Hello! Dr. Raj. Please rush to city hospital. It's an emergency. Two agents MK and SAM are in quick need of treatment. They are being brought here. Please be quick. MK's condition is said to be unstable, be quick Doctor!

Raj stood up stunned. His breath getting heavier but was confused if should be happy or sad.

Raj - Okay. I will be there.

Raj kept phone in his pocket.

Manik - Dad, what's wrong?

Raj - Manik, Manish, Kabir, come with me. Nandini is being brought to the hospital. I am called for their checkup.

Manik, Manish, Kabir - What!!

Everyone rushed out to the hospital. All were continuously praying for Nandini's welfare. Manik was already sobbing silently.

Finally, they reached hospital. All rushed inside. The receptionist informed Ambulance has still not arrived but will be here within minutes. Raj changed into his uniform. The instant he came out, Ambulance came. The staff rushed out with stretchers. MK was brought inside the hospital. Manik saw and rushed to her. He was a crying mess by now looking at Nandini's condition. She was shot 5 times but fortunately, bullets were either in arms or legs and not any critical parts. Her face was filled with blood oozing out of her head. Body full of blood. Her breath was uneven and short like she is having her last breaths.

Manik took Nandini's hand in his and kept caressing it. He hugged her gently.

Manik - W...What have you done t...to yourself? But y...you have to be f...fine. Please! Please!

Manish - (held Nandini's hand) Child, wakeup! I promise I will never shout on you again. You are my daughter. How can I break ties with you. Please wake up. Me, your brother we all need you.

Nandini opened her mouth slightly to take breath followed by her eyes. Her eyes opening to see Manik with a blurry sight. She used up all her strength, pulled smiling and crying Manik towards her with her hand around his nape. The moment their faces were close, Nandini kissed Manik. Both were crying between the kiss. Others were just staring at them with eyes full of adoration. Manik caressed Nandini's hand and head. Nandini pulled back, taking short and deep breaths trying to catch her breath.

Nandini - I w...won! I won Manik. And now..... I will surely win t.....this fight against d.....death and will keep m.....my promise and be b.....back to you. But Manik, If..... I am saying if I....I loose to death, please.....

Manik cut off Nandini with a peck on her lips.

Manik - You are my strong girl. Nothing will happen to you.

Nandini smiled slightly, her breath getting heavier and she fainted. Her body stopped all movements even breathing. Manik shaked her but no response. Doctors and nurses rushed and Nandini was taken inside. Manik collapsed on the floor, crying continuously as Nandini's condition was coming in front of his eyes again and again.

Raj went for SAM's surgery as he was in quick requirement of a surgery while other specialists look after Nandini. James was also taken to OT. Nandini's condition was the most critical one.

After 5 hours, Raj came out. SAM was out of danger and was shifted to VIP ward. Soon, he came back to senses, he panicked and looked around. He took a deep sigh noticing he is safe and at hospital. But he was uneasy thinking about what could be Nandini's condition and Is James alive or not!

Doctors came to check on him. After the checkup they went out and informed team members that he is totally fine while on other hand Nandini was still being operated.

Manik was a total crying mess thinking she actually took her last breath in his hands and he was not able to do anything.

Manik - (in his mind) Nandini, if anything happens to you. I will not be able to forgive myself. You are my life! We promised to always stay by each other's side. Please! Please! Stay with me!

Kabir - (in his mind) Nandu, you are the best sister on this planet. Even though we are not siblings but we have stronger bond than that. Please be safe and alive because you are the most beautiful happening to me. If anything happens to you, who will call me KD? Who will tease me? Who will call me idiot and give me brain? Who will have those silly fights with me. Please! Please! Be fine.....

At SAM's ward,

The team went inside, SAM bowed slightly to greet them. SAM told them everything happened at the base after other members left. They already collected all proofs and information against James. James was still in hospital but he was in best condition. He was taken under arrest.

After 12 hours in OT,

Doctors finally came out. They were having quite serious expression.

All - How's she?

Doctor - We can't say anything for now. Let's see till she gains conscious.

Manik - C.....Can I go in?

Doctor - Once we shift her to ICU, you may. (patting Manik's shoulder) Pull yourself together.

Manik closed his eyes trying to control himself, sitting on floor keeping his head in knees and sobbing. Manish sat back on chair, Kabir supporting him. Raj went with doctor to inquire about Nandini's condition.

Soon Nandini was shifted to ICU. Her team mates except SAM came to see her and asked Manik, Manish and Kabir to stay strong because Nandini is really strong and if she sees them like this, she would be broken from inside.

Manik stayed at hospital while he sent others back to rest. Manik sat down on a chair holding Nandini's hand, keeping his head on their inter-wined one. By now, he was even short of tears to shed.

Doctors were panicking as Nandini was still not responding instead was getting more and more weak. Manik came in sensing the tension. Even his state was not doing any good recently. Not eating anything, always crying or being in his own thoughts was all he was doing for past few days.

Manik - (to doctors) I'll talk to her alone.

Doctors understood and went outside. They stood beside the door and let the couple had some private space. They knew Manik is Nandini's biggest cure. They have did their best on medicinal and technical terms but now Nandini also needs a lot of emotional support.

Manik - I will not request you to not leave me. Because I know, (caressing her pale cheek) My Nandini is the strongest and is already fighting. I will not pressurize you because I know you are not going to leave me! (wide smile) I love you! (in his mind) But if you decide to leave me, I decide to come after you. Because without you I would be a lifeless person)

Nandini's breath got slower and shorter so does Manik's. Manik was feeling too weak and dizzy. Nandini opened her eyes slightly just to see Manik's head collapsing on her hand, looking too weak almost lifeless. Nandini lifted her head a bit and moved her hands slightly. Manik smiled widely seeing her moving and the next moment both closed their eyes with head falling and there was a loud, continuous beep...
