Magic. Math. Not a whole lot of context. Two months ago, I was a wormhole navigator, ripping open a hole in the universe to save a ship of people who only vaguely tolerated me. Two weeks ago, long story short, I threaded an impossible path through the void between dimensions to crash-land into a dungeon. You know the kind: monsters to defeat, corridors full of traps to avoid, and magical powers to earn. I'm not ashamed to admit that it's been two weeks of loneliness, fear, adrenaline, and constant injury. After a violent and tough battle, you recover in an infirmary with your fellow soldiers, or in a more relatable scenario, visit your friend's house after a hard day of studying. You’d expect that both of them would play out normally for the most part, right? Well... Maxon Cortez and Jason McGuire had the same thoughts too. Yet, fate has different plans for them: Max ends up in an eerie location he doesn’t recognize and Jace gets transported to an entirely different world that works like a video game (sort of) by walking into a portal. As they travel along the lands, the two of them will encounter other individuals of many kinds, make friends new and old, gain powerful abilities, experience spectacular adventures, and obtain priceless treasures. However, Maxon and Jason will unknowingly become integral parts of a nefarious conspiracy that, if successful, will plunge both of their worlds into eternal chaos and darkness. So it’s up to them and their allies to thwart it. Side-Note: I’ll admit right off the bat that this story will be my first attempt at writing a LitRPG, so the in-game mechanics and terminology will probably look weird and be even nonsensical. This is a tale of four young goblin brothers, whose adventures and calamities are told as legends and jokes throughout the land. But they were first inspired by legends they heard, before ascending into one themselves; a reminder that simple beginnings can be the start of something great. Written for my D&D 5e party after they demanded I write an actual story about a children's book they found in one of our sessions, so I wrote it as it would appear in game as a childrens story. I took a very different approach on writing it, so do not be too disappointed when you find out it's not written at first grade reading level. Feedback is much appreciated, as I have never produced anything like this and I do hope I manage to entertain at least a few of you. It took less than one practice to establish that she was the ace and better setter of the girl's volleyball team, and of course this drew some attention. The boy's team's attention, to be exact. All of the boys were extremely jealous of the new hottie, but she put them in their places. Commanding respect anywhere she went, the queen of the court, ace on the front line and setter on back line, caught the eye of almost every other school in the country after her debut. Look out ladies and gents, the 5'11ft ace of Shiratorizawa is flying in on eagle's wings.
