《I Fell For The Muslim Girl》Chapter 9 : The story of my life

💘
💋
After I excused myself from my mother, I went upstairs to my room to take a nap. Today turned out pretty tiring. I entered my room, dropped my bag and launched myself on the bed.
This house was huge for just the two of us. My parents, Aaron Walker and Susan Walker ran a business together in the past before they were divorced. That's why my mother could afford this mansion. My mother decided to move here after her divorce with my father. She brought me along with her because my father already has his own family now.
My father and I didn't really get along so well after I knew what he had done to my mother. He left my mother when I was 16. He was happily married and lived with his new wife in England. She was also a Muslim. He converted to Islam from Christianity when he married her. That was the start of it all. I couldn't stand being anywhere around Muslims after that. Maybe that's why I kept teasing the Muslim girl at school. The girl reminded me of his new wife but I knew that she was nothing like her. I need to know more about her. I thought to myself.
I heard my phone buzzing in my pocket. I dug it out and saw a text from Steve. I unlocked my phone to read it.
Steve : Hey, man. How about you come over
to my house tonight? I'm having a
party.
Me : I'll be there.
After I finished replying his text, I placed my phone on the bedside table. A party. That's just what I need to get everything off of my mind. I headed towards the bathroom to take a shower before going to the party.
***************
"Mom, I'm going to Steve's party." I said, making my way towards the door.

"Don't come home too late." she smiled.
The fact about my mother was that she never cared. Of course she made an excuse to let me enjoy my teenage years since before the divorce. She preferred to have tea parties with her friends rather than concerning about her only child. Sometimes she would go on a business meeting with her clients while going out clubbing with her friends during the night. It's just the way she was from the beginning of her marriage with my father. I couldn't even put the blame on him one hundred percent when he moved on to someone better than her.
I shut the front door and dug out my car keys. I climbed into the car before starting the engine. A few seconds later, I pulled out of the driveway and started driving.
Steve's house was only a 10 minutes drive from mine. I parked my car in his driveway and got out. I walked towards the crowded house and I could hear 'Party Rock Anthem' playing out loud before I could get inside. The music was loud as thunder, it even made the cups on the table rattle. Neon lights flashed everywhere like police sirens. Jesus! This was no better than the parties I used to attend back in England. It feels like home to me.
I pushed myself through the crowd and continued walking through the house until I reached a group of people who I assumed were Steve's friends. They were all sitting in a row on a red couch.
"Hey, man. You made it." I heard Steve's voice coming from behind me. I turned around and he handed me a red cup.
"Of course." I took a sip of my drink.
"Let me introduce you to the rest of us." he said and I just nodded.

"Guys! This is Justin, my new friend. He's from England and just moved here." he told them.
Every one of them nodded and smiled at me. They all seemed cool. One of the girls stood up and reached out her hand to shake mine. She had long blonde hair and big blue eyes.
"Hey. I'm Olivia. You're so cute." she said in a very seductive way.
"Thanks." I faked a smile.
I was not in the mood for girls right now. I was just here to cheer myself up a little bit and get rid of the Muslim girl I kept thinking about off of my mind. Boy! I hope I don't get wasted or else I won't be driving home tonight.

Into The Fray

This mission was supposed to be a standard one. Get behind enemy lines, kill the metal puppets, destroy the flying fortress, escape with body and life intact. I need that.” Said the old man, giving her a chance to go back out there and fight once more. Her only hope is Scarlet, another girl who is a complete stranger and almost shot her in the head. Oh, and she has fox ears and a tail. That is possibly worth mentioning. Artemis is not a nerd. She has never heard of the isekai genre, she can't fight worth a damn, and the blue-collar skills she learned at her community college are absolutely useless in a universe where technology is often indistinguishable from magic. She only has one thing going for her: A mysterious ability to interface with highly advanced technology left behind by the Antecessors, the long lost precursor civilization with technology that no one has been able to adequately replicate. Finding herself in a universe where civilizations are locked in an interstellar Cold War, where societies are so stratified that the aristocracy commands fleets of starships while slaves wash clothes with their hands, Artemis decides to run away from it all. She has a ship. She'll find a crew. She'll find a way to make a living at the fringes of civilization, learn how to cope with danger, and survive the affections of a universe where everyone is a cute girl with animal ears and tails.
