[SAME DAY]
REAL LIFE
"Hey Cammy, can I get a ride to your house?" Jax asked, right when I was about to leave. He was still in full costume, and I was fully prepared to go home. I glared at him quickly before responding.
"First off, don't call me that at work, and second off, make it quick asshole," I told him before going to my chair, which was practically right next to me.
"Thank you!" He said before hugging me and running off.
"I'm serious Jax! 10 minutes then I'm leaving!" I shouted after him. I sat down and got out my phone to check the time, and was surprised to see that it was already 7.
Female Sibling Group
Hey guys, Jax is being a diva per fricken usual, and we're gonna be late. Whoever gets there first, the key is on the bottom of the door on a magnet. Once again, sorry guys!
If you must.
Jkjk, of course you can.
While I waited for Jax to get back by playing games on my phone. When the 10 minutes had passed, I called him, but he didn't answer, so I called him, telling him that I was leaving without him.
When I got to my car, I put on the Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack, and started driving away. By the time I was more than halfway to my apartment, Jax called me, causing my music to stop.
"I told you that you had 10 minutes to be back, and when you weren't there in that time frame, I left!"
"I'm sorry. Could you come get me? Please?"
"Nope. I'm halfway home. Stop and get the pizzas too while you're at it!" I told him before hanging up, and Sincerely, Me continued playing.
When I got home, everyone except for Jax was there. They were sitting on the floor in a weird circle playing What Do You Meme?, laughing and smiling. Since it was Addi's turn to read them aloud
"Hey babe, how was work today?" He asked wrapping his arm around my shoulder, pressing a kiss to my temple.
"Pretty good. Jax was late getting to me, so I left him there. He has his own car and stuff, so he can get here. He also has to get the pizza," I told him, and took my shoes off. "We're already filming parts of episode 5, which puts us ahead of schedule."
"That's great. Do you want to play with us? I can deal you in," he offers, going back to the game to collect the card he won.

"In a minute. I want to go change into more comfortable clothes first," I yell them, and go down the hall to my room. I quickly throw on a pair of spandex leggings and an old t-shirt that displayed my old high school's name. The shirt was slightly too small, and was getting holes in it, but I still loved wearing it. Before leaving my room, I threw my slightly curly hair into a ponytail. Deciding that I was ready, I exited my room and went back into the living room to join their game.
After nearly a half hour of me beating them, Jax finally showed up with pizza.
"Thank you, Jax!" I thanked him, putting away the game.
"You're welcome. Please don't leave me next time though," he asked, getting a slice for himself.
"I wouldn't have left you if you were on time. I said 10 minutes, which should've been enough time. Even if it wasn't, I waited an extra five in that spot, and then an extra five when I got to my car, and you still weren't there," I explained, and stood up to get my food.
"Doesn't matter who was late or not. Let's just enjoy our time together with this pizza," Addi says, looking down at her own food. I had to roll me eyes at her, but joined in with everyone else in laughing.
The night continued on like that and soon enough, I was getting out my Nintendo Switch to beat all their asses at Mario Kart.
"I'm gonna beat all of you. Prepare to eat banana peels!" I yell, and sit on the couch in between Bren and Addi. Jax was leaning up against my legs on the ground, while Declan was on the other side of Addi. Luckily, there was enough controllers for everyone, so we could all play at once.
"Maybe I shouldn't get a boyfriend. Then we wouldn't be able to do this all together anymore," Jax says in between rounds. He also cracks his knuckles before picking back up the controller.
"Well that's one way to think of it I guess," Addi says to him, obviously confused at how random it was. His reasoning also wasn't very good, so she was probably confused about that too.
"I'm serious! This is so much fun guys!"
"Yeah yeah, whatever. You're losing, asswipe," I tell him as I race past him, taking first place and leaving him behind, right as I cross the final finish line.

I throw the controller down, and my hands up. Everybody else finishes their races, and set down their controllers before either cheering or complaining, depending on their placements.
"Good job, babe," Brendon says, leaning over and kissing me on the cheek.
"Thank you Bren," I respond and smile. Realizing how late it was, nearly midnight, everybody quickly decided that they should get going.
"Do you mind if I stay here tonight?" Brendon asks me after everyone had left.
"No, of course I don't mind." I had gotten up from my seat on the couch to clean up a little before going to sleep.
"What time do you have to go in tomorrow?"
"I don't. They're filming scenes that don't include me so I can finally get a day off. Why?" I ask, throwing away the empty pizza boxes.
"I figured we could spend the day together, if you're fine with that. We haven't really had a lot of time to ourselves recently," he said, walking over to me and wrapping his arms around my waist from behind.
"Yeah, sounds great. Could we either stay here or go to your place though? I find it weird being together in public without being able to do this," I told him, grabbing his hand, "or this," I kissed him.
"Well, I mean you can, but then we'll be outed quickly."
"Very true. Speaking of that, when do you think we should 'announce it' or whatever we would call it?" I ask him.
"What about when we reach a year? By them we should know for sure that we work, which I believe we do, and it would be a reasonable amount of time as well," he suggests.
"Sounds perfect," I agree, and sit down on the couch next to him. My apartment has been all cleaned, which brought me joy.
"What about moving in together? When would be an appropriate time for that?"
"Bren, we've been together for a month! Don't you think it's a little early for that?"
"I'm not asking now, silly! I was asking for in the future. If I were to ask you in a while, would you say yes?"
"Maybe in November," I tell him.
"Why November?"
"Because my lease is due in the beginning of December and I don't want to have to wait another year if we decide to," I confess, and we both start laughing.
"Alright, I'll ask again in November," he says, and I rest my head in his lap. He runs his fingers through my hair.
"What about.... I don't know, what else is there?"
"I can't think of anything else. I jaut want to tell you though that you make me so unbelievably happy, Cam. This is the happiest I've been in a long time, all thanks to you," he tells me, and I shift so I'm looking up at him.
"I feel the exact same way towards you Bren. You've had an incredible love before with Sarah, and I'll be lucky if I get to have that with you someday," I tell him, and he weakly smiles.
"I hope so too," he replies, and continues running his fingers through my hair.
Next thing I know, I hear his voice singing to me.
On the outside, always looking in
Will I ever be more than I've always been?
'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass
I'm waving through a window
I try to speak, but nobody can hear
So I wait around for an answer to appear
While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass
I'm waving through a window, oh
Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me?
We start with stars in our eyes
We start believing that we belong
But every sun doesn't rise
And no one tells you where you went wrong
I start to feel myself drifting towards sleep, but I try and fight it to hear his angelic voice more. Surprisingly, he doesn't sing around me often, so when I do get to hear it, I take in every second. When he finishes Waving Through a Window, he immediately goes into another song.
Well he was just hanging around
Then he fell in love
And he didn't know how
But he couldn't get out
Just hanging around
Then he fell in love
In the middle of summer
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer (summer)
All was golden in the sky
All was golden when the day met the night
Summer, summer, summer, summer
All was golden when the day met the night
I was unsure of what to think of this, whether he was just singing it, or if the lyrics actually meant something in our situation. But before I could think of it to much, I drifted off to sleep.

Displacement
or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
