I chose the kiss prompt 24: Deep kisses where they have their hands tangled in each other's hair to pull them closer.

Warnings: cursing

You were living with Alfred for a few months now.

When you had moved to university you had found an apartment you could stay in, and Alfred turned out to be your neighbor.

He wasn't your roommate, that was a girl that liked to be quite noisy over night, with an ludicrous amount of seemingly forever changing friends, and you had cursed her more than just a few times.

One night you hadn't been able to sleep in your room that was next to hers because of the loud music that was playing, so you had taken camp on the living room couch in your desperation.

You had tried talking to her, but it always was to no avail.

On the living room couch you were basically facing the front door when you heard a firm but gentle knock.

It was barely loud enough to overpower the far too loud music, which was already dimmed by the walls and closed bedroom door of your roommate, but you had been able to hear the knock anyways.

You were in your pajamas, cozy blue sweatpants with white stars on it and your favorite originally grey tanktop that had lost its color from all the years of use.

When you opened the door you were faced with a tall slim boy that looked entirely worn out from the lack of sleep.

Looking down at your watch you realized that it already was half past three in the morning, and your roommate's music hadn't gone down in volume at all.

"Uhm, hello", the boy said to you, and from the set of pajamas he was wearing, the messy state of his hair and his naked feet you deduced that it had to be a neighbor.

"Hi", he said again, wiping over his eyes tiredly before he managed to continue to say what he wanted to say.

"Could you maybe turn down the music? I have classes in four hours and I'd love to get at least a bit of sleep", he said to you and you nodded understandingly, sending a confused look on his face.

"Yeah, I'd love that too", you said and you saw how your neighbor's confusion intensified.

"It's my roommate's music. I can't get her to stop", you explained and realization seemed to dawn on him before he nodded.

"I'm sorry for the music, really, but I can't make her stop", you added and the boy in front of you nodded understandingly.

"Right, well... I'm sorry for complaining to you, then?", he asked and you smiled at his kindness.

He looked around you for a second to the direction where the music was coming from before he glanced back at you.

"I'm Alfred", he said and you nodded softly.

"Lili", you answered him, to which he smiled tiredly.

You stood in silence for a few seconds before Alfred decided to say something else.

"The music is horrendously louder than at my apartment. Do you want to...?", he began to ask and you saw him blushing, though in the dark you could have also been mistaken.

"I mean, I've got a couch too. It's just much less noisy than on the couch in your apartment", he explained and you smiled, thanking him.

Alfred seemed so kind, somehow also innocent and gentle that you had no doubts that it was okay to change camp one last time this night.

Collecting your blanket, pillow and phone you followed your neighbor to his apartment that was directly next to yours, and once you entered you enjoyed your roommate's music far more.

It was still horrible, but much less loud than at your place.

You made your way towards the couch and Alfred offered you a glass of water before you lay down.

When he returned with the promised water you were already fast asleep on his couch.

The next morning, or rather a few hours later you woke up with your alarm, and that one of a stranger's phone as well.

Once you remembered where you were, and why you were there you got up quickly, collecting your stuff before a sleepy Alfred came through the doorway to the living room.

When you thanked him he nodded, and you told him you'd leave.

It was his turn to nod as he grabbed his key, accompanying you out of his apartment and to yours even though it was only a small distance.

You found it charming, now that you had had at least a bit of sleep Alfred seemed not just attractive but also very kind to you.

When you reached the door you realized that you had left your key in the apartment.

You resolved the issue by knocking and waking up your roommate, who looked far worse than Alfred or you did.

She opened her eyes groggily before she saw the two of you standing in the doorway and a wide grin made its way onto her face, while her eyebrows raised dramatically.

"So you've had a good night. Been fucking, yeah?", she asked and you probably blushed more than you ever had in your entire life.

Before you could answer she headed back to her room and you turned to Alfred.

"Thank you so much for your help", you said softly and Alfred only nodded, smiling slightly.

"Well then... I'll... see you around?", he asked and it was your turn to awkwardly nod and smile.

And you did see him around.

A few nights later you were once again forced to stay on your couch when you heard the familiar knock on the door, though it was far earlier than it had been the first time.

When you opened your door you saw Alfred standing there, this time still wearing street clothes, an apologetic smile on his face, that was laced with a bit of nervousness.

"I'm not here to make a complaint", he chuckled and you had to laugh slightly at the small attempt of a joke he had made.

"Would you like to come over? We could... talk a bit and then you can sleep in peace?", he asked and you smiled widely.

"I'd love that", you answered, and soon it became a tradition.

You never intended to but you often talked long into the night, sometimes even longer than your roommate partied.

The more you talked the more connected you felt, and you grew more and more attracted to him.

Your roommate partied more and more often too, and you seemed to live at his place rather than at the one you were paying rent for.

Some day Alfred suggested to make dinner for you, to which you agreed.

He was an amazing cook, and though you loved to cook with him you allowed him to cook for once, like he had asked you.

Later that night, after an amazing dinner, he asked you to be his girlfriend, red in the face and in contrast to his usual collected self a down right mess.

You said yes.

You stayed even more often from then on, until you decided to get a place of your own, for just the two of you.

You found the perfect place, and you were entirely happy there.

When one of your friends moved she couldn't take her dog with her, because her new place had a strict 'no pets' rule.

She was devastated because she didn't want to give up Chunky, her bulldog, until you suggested to take him in.

She was so grateful for it and happy that Chunky would have an amazing new home, and so you took him with you.

You grew to love him more and more, and even though Alfred initially wasn't enthusiastic about sharing an apartment with a dog he grew to love Chunky.

You had a much more active life now that you had a dog, you had to walk him and care for him, and you loved to do so as a couple.

Nevertheless you were both very busy with university and work, and so the spare time you had you dedicated to your dog.

Alfred's mother Judith, whom you had gotten to know over the months you were living with Alfred, hated the idea of a dirty animal in her son's house and Alfred himself didn't say anything, but he felt slightly neglected through the great deal of time that you lost while caring for Chunky.

Nevertheless he loved you, and if he was honest with himself he even loved the bulldog as well.

Chunky was messy, yes, he oftentimes drooled as well, but he was there whenever Alfred felt unwell, to keep him company and try to make him feel better.

On another day he wasn't feeling well and was far too busy for his liking you returned home from your job and immediately went to feed Chunky.

In the needy mood he was in Alfred finally broke down, accusing you of favoring the dog over him.

You laughed heartily at first until you realized that he was serious.

Too tired to begin a fight you simply tried to soothe him, asking what was wrong and making sure that he knew that you were not favoring Chunky.

On that day you decided the both of you needed some alonetime, a day off so you could care for yourselves and one another, and to take time to be together.

When the day arrived you slept in, something you hadn't done in weeks, and you stayed in bed until noon, when you decided to brunch.

It was wonderful, you were relaxed and together and you enjoyed your lazy day, and after brunch you simply left the dishes at the table and headed back to bed.

You had checked that Chunky had enough water and had even given him a bone to keep him busy so you could be sure that he wouldn't bother you.

As soon as you sat down next to Alfred he pulled you onto his lap, holding onto your face to kiss you.

You immediately kissed back, putting your hands into his hair and tugging at it softly, something you knew that Alfred loved.

He still wore his hair long, but not as long as he had when you had first met, and both of you loved the look and the feel of it.

You continued kissing, your hands tracing the hem of his shirt before they slipped under it, caressing the skin of his back and moving up so you could pull the shirt off.

Shortly before you did so you heard a loud whine, and you broke apart to see what was going on.

Chunky was standing at the edge of the bed, front paws on the comforter as he stared at you, a needy look in his eyes.

It made you laugh, and even Alfred had to chuckle at the way the dog was behaving.

When you looked at your phone you saw that it was the time you usually cleaned his wrinkles, and you sighed in defeat.

Getting off of Alfred's lap he tried to trap you in his arms, holding onto your sleeves until you managed to pull yourself out of reach, a small smile grazing both of your faces.

You went to help Chunky before you returned to bed, after cleaning your hands, of course, and then you showed Alfred just how much attention you could give him.
