《The Shinto Gods Series: The Imperial Seal(On Hiatus)》15-I Can't Weasel My Way Out Of This One

what I said two seconds ago? Yeah... I am getting my butt handed to me so hard.

Maybe it was because Toyota was better in fighting than me. Maybe it was the train moving so much. Or maybe it was that funny-tasting burger that I bought from McDonald's (Lucas got a Happy Meal and Martha got some McFlurry. They were secretly happy, I just know it). Either way, I'm getting pounded.

Toyota somehow knocked my tessens from my hands in which we resulted to claw-to-claw combat. Throughout the fight, I've gotten several scars from her claws which were slowly but surely bleeding. She threw a right hook at me, making me stumble and having my head at the edge of the train. Toyota's claws were clamped at my neck as she held me down.

"Look how vulnerable you are!" She sneered. "I thought that your mother taught you better!"

With new-found strength, I bit her arms and I tasted salty scales. That's a joke I'm going to annoy people with for the rest of my life. She yelped and her grip lessened, letting me grab her wounded arms with my claws and pushed her, giving much distance between us as possible.

"Now that's just playing dirty." She tsked.

"Hey." I said to her. "We can both turn into dragons. We are our own weapons."

Her dress whipped up once more and I now realized that she wasn't wearing graphing paper for a dress, but actual scales. Hollowed out and shining despite being late in the evening. Her black hair billowed out from her face with green horns curled atop her head.

I ran forward, claws out, and slashed blindly. I did manage to tear at her dress but it didn't meet skin. I tried to make my movements faster but it felt like my legs were muddy.

"Felt the effects of the kamitachi, I see." She grinned. I looked down at my legs and saw that they had crescent-shaped marks that were slowly bleeding. "Isn't it amazing? The kamitachi making the victim dizzy then leave silent marks. It's mundane, but very effective when lowering the morale."

"I'll tell you what else is amazing," I boosted myself forward. "Seeing if your face would still look normal when I do this!" I made a right hook to her cheek and aimed a punch to her stomach. She doubled over but I didn't stop. I grabbed her hair, spun her around, and pinned her to the edge like she did to me.

"Talk." I spat. "Tell me everything you know about this camp."

Toyota raised a brow. "Everything you know about this camp."

"Okay, I walked in on that one but seriously tell me."

She smiled, baring her teeth. "Where to start I wonder? Well, it isn't a camp, I can tell you that much. They have enough people to fill a city. But their morale is so low, I was almost reduced to tears." She laughed as I ducked a sign. "I truly feel sorry for you when you're going to see it. It makes you wonder what you're truly fighting for."

I bit my lip and looked elsewhere. Anywhere besides her.

"What's wrong? Given up trying to find it?"

"You tricked me, didn't you?" I cut her off. "You made me thought you were going to hurt innocents."

"Whatever gave you that idea? It was you that said that they should go inside. I'm not that low to include mortals to our fight."

Something told me to punch her until she shuts up but that stupid side of me said that I was dumb to jump the gun that she was ruthless. That she would kill anyone that was in her way.

"I see regret in those eyes." Sudden colors of dark green flashed in my eyes. "Sad that you made quick judgement?"

"Shut up!" I gripped her throat.

"Aww, she's all riled up." She sneered and I felt something wrap around my waist and threw me away from her. A long, green tail flickered behind Toyota. She rushed and suspended me by the edge of the train by my throat. My breathing was beginning to falter as black spots started dancing in my vision.

"It was nice knowing you, imouto. Send my regards to the souls in Yomi for me."

The darkness consumed me.

"Wow. A few minutes I left you, you're about to die. You could have at least tried to take her horns off."
