Rules I made to remind myself to always do.

Rule 1: Always tell the truth, if you lie, tell them and own it. Even if it hurts.

Rule 2: Be there, comfort them even if they don't do the same, always be kind.

Rule 3: Stand up, stand up if they're getting bullied, even if your not friends.

Rule 4: Love God more, He's important. Never put your friends higher than God.

Rule 5: Never EVER break your promises, ever. You say it, you mean it. Don't break a promise.

Rule 6: Listen, listen to their stories and what they tell you.

Rule 7: People will tell you their secrets, keep them. Don't tell anyone their secrets.

Rule 7: Don't lower your standards to fit theirs, if they don't treat you right, don't try and fix them. Tell them your feelings about it, if they don't stop, slowly get out of that situation.

Rule 8: Don't argue if they're not Christian, don't expect them to agree on everything you say.

Rule 9: Don't shower them in music, I know you like it, but take it slow. Really, take it slow.

Rule 10: Be there. Go to their birthday party, or just to hang out. Don't say "I'll be there" and you don't show up. If you forget, that's okay a couple times, but it'll still hurt them.

Rule 11: Be a good friend, even if they are only here for a season. Don't be mad when they leave, it doesn't solve anything. It will hurt, but be glad you got the memories.

Rule 12: Don't change yourself to fit in a friend group. It's never a good idea.

Rule 13: If you have more than one bestfriend, give them equal attention and love.

Rule 14: Respect them. Whoever they are, gay, Christian, white or black, always respect them.

Rule 15: Don't think people will do the same things for you.
