Six months later at Christmas Time….

Six months passed in the blink of an eye. It's Christmas Eve, and Marissa and Zander's wedding is tomorrow. I love that they are getting married on Christmas Day. We decided to have our Christmas tonight, so we can focus on the wedding tomorrow. We have a beautiful spread laid out and everyone is here. It's all family tonight. Friends will show up in the morning. After dinner, we started opening up presents. The night was filled with laughter, music, dancing and lots of fun. I waited until Hunter opened all of his gifts before I gave him mine. I handed him a large envelope, and he gave me a quizzical look.

"What is it?"

"Open it and you will see."

He shrugged and opened the envelope. He pulled out the sonogram inside and stared at it.

"What am I looking at?"

"I think you know…"

He stared at it, then it hit him. He looked at me and I rubbed my belly.

"A baby?"

Everyone stopped and stared. They all waited anxiously. I nodded.

"Look again, though…"

He did, then looked at me..startled.

"Two...babies?"

"We're having twins."

"Twins?!"

"Yes…"

"How? Why didn't you tell me before?"

"I thought it would be a great Christmas present."

He jumped up and cheered.

"Woohoo! I'm gonna have twins!"

He scooped me up and spun me around.

"This is the best gift I could ever get. I love you so much."

"Damn woman! Are you trying to steal my spotlight?"

"Sorry Marissa…."

"I'm just screwing with you...I'm gonna be an Auntie!"

We all laughed. My parents hugged and congratulated us. Hunter couldn't keep his hands off of me for the rest of the night. A little while later, we were dancing by the tree.

"You're amazing. You know that?"

"So are you. I'm very proud of the man you have become. You've really changed a lot."

"It's because of you. I just want you to know that I have chosen a Delta."

"Really?"

"Yes. He is one of the soldiers. Andrew Montgomery. He'll start after the New Year."

"That's great."

"With Zander marrying and now you being pregnant, we are going to need the extra help. Plus, I have decided to appoint a Captain to manage the soldiers and their training. One for the men, and one for the women. I've been handling all that, and it's become too much for me."

"That's wonderful. I am proud of you."

"You were right. I need to delegate more."

"That you do."

"Especially with twins on the way."

"Definitely with twins on the way."

We laughed, and held each other as we danced. We all retired to bed early for the big day tomorrow. We woke up to a beautiful snowy day. The ground was covered in a beautiful white powder. Luckily, the wedding was indoors in the massive ballroom. It was decorated with beautiful poinsettia plants, pine garland, big red bows, and gold ribbons. It's really glamorous. The dress code was dark red dresses for the ladies and dark green suits for the men. Only Marissa wore a white wedding dress and Zander a black tux. The ceremony was lovely. Hunter performed the ceremony. After the ceremony, we danced, drank, ate, and danced some more. Only I didn't drink, and had to handle my drunk Alpha later on in the night. He got very handsy, and tried undressing me a few times during the reception.

"Alright you...let's get to our room before I end up naked in front of everyone."

"Lead the way baby cakes."

I rolled my eyes, then laughed as he stumbled ahead of me. I quickly hugged Marissa goodnight and ran after Hunter. We finally made it to the room, and he fell on the bed in his tux. He grabbed me and threw me on the bed.

"Hunter!"

"Mine…"

"I am yours baby."

"Take off that dress before I rip it off."

I slowly removed my dress as he watched.

"You are so sexy. Pregnant with my babies."

"So are you Mr. Drunkie."

"Hey...oh man...I'm really drunk."

"Take those clothes off."

He barely got off his shirt before he fell back and passed out. I just shook my head and managed his pants and shoes off. I changed into my pajamas and snuggled into bed next to him.

After the wedding, things really settled down. After the New Year, Andrew Montgomery and his mate moved into the mansion. It was starting to get a bit crowded, so my parents made the decision to move into one of the cottages on the property. They wanted a little peace and quiet, and there was always something happening in the mansion. Andrew took over a huge load of work off of Hunter's shoulders. As promised, he appointed two Captains to handle the soldiers, alleviating more work for Hunter and Zander. We finally have some free time together, and I am extremely happy.

7 MONTHS LATER…

I am huge. My belly is huge, and I have the hardest time getting around. Plus...it's hotter than hell. I officially hate summertime. Hunter keeps fussing over me. It's sweet but annoying as well.

"Hunter, give it a rest."

"You should be resting."

"I can't stay in bed anymore. I'm losing my mind. I want to go for a walk."

"Fine, but I am going with you."

"Fine."

He keeps one hand on my back, and holds my hand as we walk. I love the smell of the cherry blossoms in the summertime.

"I'm sorry for fussing so much. I just worry."

"I know I'm a pain, but I'm carrying around two Alpha twins and they're beating me up."

He kneels down in front of me, and places his hands on my belly.

"Hey you two...give your mommy a rest."

I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my back.

"Oh god…"

"What is it?"

"I think that was a contraction."

"Are you sure?"

"I don't know…"

Just as I said that, I felt an immense wetness between my legs. Either I just peed myself or my water broke.

"Um...Hunter...my water just broke."

"Let's get you to the hospital!"

He picked me up and carried me with very little effort towards the mansion. As he did, I could hear the mind-link through my wolf.

Zander, tell Marissa and Ari's parents that she went into labor. I am taking her to the hospital right now.

I'm on it. We'll meet you there.

"Hang on baby."

"You better hurry. I think they're coming fast."

"Are you sure?"

"We might not make it to the hospital."

"Change of plans then. Let's get you to our room."

As he said that, I was hit with another contraction.

Zander, we won't make it to the hospital. Call the doctor and get them here. Hurry!

Calling right now.

"Hang on."

We made it to the bedroom, and he gently placed me on the bed.

"It's going to be okay. I'm going to check you."

I forget that Hunter is a doctor as well. He very rarely does any work in the hospital anymore. Being the Alpha takes up all of his time.

"Do it! It hurts!"

Hunter lifted my sundress and removed my panties. He placed a throw blanket over my legs. Just as he did that, my parents and Marissa ran in.

"My baby! Are you okay?"

"They're coming!"

I'm trying to breath through another contraction. My father grabs some pillows to prop me up and Marissa squeezes my hand.

"Baby. I can already see one of the heads. When I say, you push. Maria, you hold her right leg up. Marissa, the left one. Tony, go find Zander and get some clean towels and a pair of scissors to cut the cord. Hurry! He ran out of the room. Okay honey...push now."

Hunter….

I was excited for the day that my boys would be born, but I never thought I would be delivering them myself. I'm trying to stay calm, but I am scared. Anything could go wrong. Hopefully the doctor gets here soon.

"Push baby!"

She does, and the head slowly emerges. I can just grab him and guide him out a bit.

"Push!"

Another push and I have his shoulders. From there, I can pull him out. His eyes are closed, and he gurgles, and then screams. You can't believe what a relief it is to hear that for the first time. His scream fills the room. Both Marissa and Maria look over. Just as he comes out, Zander and Tony rush in with towels and a pair of scissors. Tony lays down towels

and I cut the cord off. He gently wipes down the baby as I start on baby number two.

"Get ready baby. You need to push again."

"I can't."

"Yes you can. You can do this. Our baby needs you right now. We're almost done."

"I'm so tired."

"Come on honey. You can do this. Push for me."

This one is a bit harder. Arianna is tired and can't push hard.

"One big push. Come on. Just one."

She screams and pushes. Our second son comes out easier. As I pull him out, he screams loudly. Arianna falls back and they release her legs. After cutting the cord and cleaning them up, Tony and I bring the babies to her.

"My sons...my babies."

We carefully place them on her chest. Arianna is crying and I just realized that I was too.

"I am so proud of you. You did so good."

"I was so scared. Look at them. They're so beautiful."

"They are."

I can tell that Arianna is tired. Tony and I take the babies from her and her body relaxes. Maria and Marissa stay by her side. They are holding the babies while I work on cleaning up. The doctor and a couple of paramedics finally arrived. She helps me get to work cleaning up Arianna and stitching her up.

The paramedics clean up the babies and we get them dressed in diapers and little pajamas. After we are done, we move Arianna to one of the guest rooms, along with the babies. They are starting to fuss, and need to be fed. I make everyone, besides me, leave the room. Arianna is already an expert Mom. She feeds them both at once. I gently sit next to her on the bed.

"We haven't chosen any names for them yet."

"You're right. What should we name them?"

"I would like to name one after my father. Xavier."

"Which one?"

I look at them both. Thank god they are not identical twins. The first one out has a tiny patch of curly brown hair. The other one, black hair.

"Baby number two."

"Okay. I think that suits him. How about Donovan?"

"I like that too."

"Donovan and Xavier Knols. I like that."

"Me too. I love you baby. You have given me so much."

"We love you too."

"You know...I'm going to have to throw away that mattress."

"Probably a good idea."

We both laughed. I kissed my wife and my sons. Life can't possibly get better than this.
