Kinda hate this chapter. I don't know.
Before I let go played loudly in the backyard of Dave's and Aubrey's home.
They were celebrating the release of Dave's album that was dropping in 4 days. Finally, after having the label push his dates back multiple times he was finally able to give his fans the album he worked so hard for.
He was also able to put more time into being around his family and making Aubrey happy. During the months of making his album, he had forgot to put her needs and happiness first. Which meant he had to go above and beyond to make up for it.
"Is this nigga grilling in Jordan's?" Aubrey nearly broke her neck trying to see what her husband was wearing while grilling their food.
"Mmmm, nah. I'm not eating that. Go upstairs and put on the outfit that I bought you."
"Aubrey, I'm not wearing no fucking cargo shorts and brown sandals" Dave rolled his eyes flipping the burgers that sat on the grill.
"You forreal right now?" She looked at him in disbelief, chuckling sarcastically
"Don't burn my damn house tryna be cute for these bitches out here. It's a got damn barbecue, hell you got on sneakers for anyways? You need some flops" She rambled, walking away leaving Dave at the grill by himself.
"She crazy as hell man" he whispered lowly, he smiled as Reek walked over to the grill.
"Twin really mad about you grilling in Jordan's" Reek laughed loudly, shaking his head
"I don't know who's crazier her, Danny, Zo or Maggie" They all looked over at the small group laughing, which included Tommie.
That was a relationship that took a while to rekindle but when they accepted her back in. She vowed to never leave her friends side again.
Dave watched Reek leave from beside him before putting the last piece of rib inside the foil pan and walked it into the house.
Aubrey excused herself from the group and followed Dave inside. She looked at the abundance amount of random people that were there from the flyer being posted.
Wrapping her arms around Dave's torso she rested her head on his back. "You done cooking baby?"
"GET RID OF HER!" Aubrey was the first to hear the yelling match. She recognized the voice anywhere. It was Tommie's yelling.

"I said I will, calm yo stupid ass down"
"and I- oop." Aubrey grabbed her phone quickly texting Danny to sneak away and come in the house.
"Is that...? Well, I'll be damned." Aubrey chuckled lowly, seeing Danny walk in the house. She quickly put her fingers to her lips telling him to be quiet.
"I'm only stupid for still loving you and sleeping with you while you're with Maggie. I'm done with this. I'm the one that left and gave you enough space to get another girlfriend. I made my bed and I'll lay in it." Throwing her hands up in defeat, she wiped her eyes.
"I'm going to do it T... I promise baby, it's just, I do love her and it's hard to break her heart... I love you more, and, I don't want to lose you. I'm going to get rid of her"
"Reek is going to be explaining to Maggie like: don't fucking look at me sir, don't just say my name, it was her too, well, say her name too." Aubrey put on her Rosa voice laughing.
Dave had been noticed the two walk in the house at the same time but decided to ignore it. He wasn't going to tell other people's business, especially not his best friend business.
He thought about telling Aubrey the moment he peeped, but instead he decided against it. She couldn't hold water if somebody helped her hold the bucket up.
The two walked towards the kitchen together noticing their friends gathered around.
"What was y'all back there discussing? Are we sparking New Flames Chris Brown? Usher?" Aubrey looked at the two.
"Mind your business Aubrey." Dave spoke sternly, causing Aubrey to throw her hands up. She was going to pick her battles and this wasn't one she was willing to fight with Dave.
"It's just a lot of people would be scared here, a lot of people would be scared and I can name them" Danny added, getting a look from Dave.
"You mind your business too." Danny bit his cheek, backing down from the argument with Dave.
Reek and Tommie held a secret that they kept locked away.
He loved her, more than anything in this world... except Tommie.
The nights he "spent at the studio" with Dave was really the times he went to see Tommie. Neither of them willing to let go of each other.

Tommie couldn't tell if she wanted to be with him or if she didn't want Maggie to have him, because, how you get them is how you lose them.
One thing she didn't deny is the love that she held for Reek.
She spent years crushing on the man, and when she finally got him she caused her own self-destruction. Of course when she built herself back up she was coming for her friendships and her Reek.
Tommie loathed the thought of him and Maggie together, but, she couldn't keep away from him. Yes, she was wrong for sleeping with Reek behind her back but damn, she's not the only one to be blamed for this.
"Well, I'm not scared. So, you have a week." She smiled softly at Reek, walking outside.
"Why am I not surprised?" Aubrey leaned against Dave, feeling the need to just be clingy. She loved touching him.
"We actually liked Maggie. Damn, another one bites the dust" Danny shook his head walking out to the backyard after Tommie.
Aubrey grabbed the Patron from the counter pouring her a shot quickly throwing it back. Pouring two more she took them back to back. Chasing it with limes.
Grabbing the pack of small red shot cups, she poured Dave a shot of Hennessy "See a shot, take a shot"
Grabbing the 100 dollar bottle of Patron, she randomly handed out shot glasses to people pouring their shots.
"Maybe you should keep the Patron from Tommie" Reek chuckled nervously.
"I would... I could... but that's a grown woman." Aubrey shrugged her shoulders pouring each of the girls a shot.
She felt fake for smiling in Maggie's face knowing what was going on behind the scenes. Mentally she knew that she would want someone to tell her if Dave was sleeping with someone else.
but, if Reek said he would tell her in a week, then maybe he would really tell her.
She also refused to be in the doghouse with Dave because she couldn't mind her business. So, however this played out tonight, tomorrow or for the next 3 years was not her business.
The girls took shot after shot mixing Patron and Hennessy and occasionally driving the boat.
"Alright Aubrey, give me the bottle." Dave was equally as drunk as his wife but he had to be levelheaded to make sure she was okay.
Nodding her head she took Dave's phone from his pocket, changing the song on the surround sound to B.I.T.C.H by Megan Thee Stallion.
Linking her arms around Dave's neck as if this was a love song, she rapped loudly.
"If you thinking shit get better with another bitch, go get her. When you realize she ain't got you like I got you, I can't help you" Tommie stood on the chair singing loudly pointing at Reek unintentionally.
Maggie looked between them two, she chuckled lowly.
"Is this shade?" She whispered lowly to Zo
"I like to mind my business" Zoie chuckled lowly, of course Danny gave him the update on the situation but for the sake of everyone's friendship. They opted-out on speaking on a relationship that wasn't there's.
"You got him like what? Damaged? when you randomly left him...? When I had to pick up the pieces that you broke...? When I had to go through the ups and downs of our relationship because he didn't trust me to fully be there for him. Leave my nigga alone."
"Maggie, just leave it alone. She's drunk" Reek spoke up before anything could get out.
"Tread lightly." Tommie warned both of them, sitting down on the chair.
"No because, I notice the way you look at him, and I get nasty looks from you when you don't even know me. Is it over my fiancé?"
Tommie was too busy gawking over Reek she hadn't noticed the rock on her ring finger. The wedding ring was huge and it filled her with rage.
In Reek's defense he had to do something to take the heat off of him for always coming in late at night. He gave her something to do like plan for
their wedding.
"Oh Reek, you're getting married now?" She giggled "Tell her now. Tell her, or you won't ever talk to me again."
Reek sat quietly opening his mouth to speak, no words came out.
"Remember this." Tommie whispered lowly, tears threatening to fall. Everyone around them watched quietly scared to make a move.
"Fuck she thought this was." Maggie smirked, rolling her eyes as Tommie walked out.
"Maggie, we gotta talk." Reek spoke lowly, causing her smirk to drop.
"This gone be some shit."
