《Started but Never Finished》Misunderstood ch.5

I reached around my bed for my ringing phone. It's way too early for someone to be calling me. I answered without looking at the caller ID.
"Hello."
"Tempestt. It's me Malik." My brother spoke into the phone.
"Okay. Why are you calling me?"
"I need you to come pick me up."
"From?"
"Jail. Please come get me."
I rolled my eyes as I got out of bed. "Fine."
I stood in the lobby waiting on him. Leave it to my brother and his friends to get arrested for trespassing. He finally came out and I just shook my head at him. We walked out to my car and got in.
"Don't say anything." I told him.
"Okay." He whispered.
I drove him home in silence the whole way there. I honestly was really upset. I pulled into the driveway. My mom, standing in the driveway looking honestly concerned. Malik got out and she immediately put her arms out.
"Are you okay. Did they do anything to you in there?" She asked him.
I rolled my eyes at her dramatics. He was only in holding. Not too much can happen in there.
"I'm fine mom. Nothing happened."
"Okay. Let's go in the house." She said grabbing his arm.
Malik waved bye to me and I waved back. My mom didn't even acknowledge me. Not that I expected her to. I pulled out the driveway and went home. I wasn't even able to go back to sleep, so I stayed up watching shows I needed to catch up on. Once the sun came out I decided to get ready for the day. I didn't have anything to do but I'm sure I could find something.

"I'm so glad you're here. Adeya won't stop crying." Tokyo pulled me into her house.

A crying Adeya was in a swing. I didn't come to console a baby but I guess I could do it since I'm here. I washed my hands then picked her up. I sat on the couch and rocked her in my arms. She slowly stopped crying and eventually fell asleep.
"How'd you do that?" Tokyo asked.
I shrugged. I guess I just have a magic touch.
"Thank you so much. I was going crazy." Tokyo said.
I could tell. Her hair was very wild. And she looks like she hasn't slept in days. That's not like Tokyo.
"You look like it." I said.
"Shut up. But you." She pointed at me. You're like glowing."
I made a face. I wasn't glowing when I left the house. I look how I always look.
"So who is he?" She asked.
I looked at Tokyo like she was crazy. I know having a baby changes your life but I didn't think it would make you lose your mind.
"Uhm. What are you talking about?" I asked her.
"You can't fool me. I know a "he makes me so happy" glow when I see one."
I shook my head. Yea this girl is crazy. Or is she? I did just get off the phone with Kingston before I came in. And he does bring me some kind of joy.
I'm still gonna deny it though.
"Girl. What the fuck is you talking about?" I said.
"Mmhmm. I know you Tempestt. Whoever this boy is must be special. Your mean ass don't like nobody." She sat next to me.
I shrugged. Maybe Kingston is special.

The weak live everyday in torment and slavery with no means of escape while the lands are constantly engulfed in war between guilds, kingdoms, and countries. Follow the man who would eventually flip this world on its head. Starting an orphanage and even establishing his own Kingdom of Shieldfriegan known now as the The Shield of the Weak. A man known by so many names he lost track of them all..... Beast from the East, God Slayer, The Divine Chef, and even for a brief time ' Vali the Reaper ' . But alas all this was only the beginning. This tale is the story ...of my champion."PS. If you enjoy an OP MC in an even more OP world, you'll like this. Also I will hopefully clean and redo old chapters in time since my dialogue might not be great. I also enjoy doing other POV's, because half the fun of being OP in a new world is getting to see how everyone reacts about it. *Artwork done by Lenni Olinsson
