"I'm thinking my life is planned," I said to my best friend, Luke. He was also my only friend and hung out with me during school and such. Other than him, people just left me alone, even though they sometimes picked on me.

Luke Jacobs raised an eyebrow, while he looked at me. His red hair fell into his green eyes, while he looked at me. He stood at 6'4, while I stood at 5'8 with auburn hair and green eyes. We did look kind of similar, even though it was mostly in the face. "Oh?" he asked.

"It's complicated, but... I got a job..."

"And..?"

"And... it's where I have to meet someone..." My voice faded while five people came towards us. I bit back a groan, because I knew what was going to happen.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Mss Geek and Mr. Geek. Are you two going to get married soon. I mean, come on, you two are so perrrrfect, for each other," the front one said. She grinned while her four minions laughed at me.

"Layoff, Abigail," I said, trying to go around her. I didn't want to deal with her crap today. I had a lot more stuff that was on my plate, and I didn't need some slut to get into my way.

She blocked my way, and sneered when she saw me trying to get around her. "Awww, it's not nice to leave when we are just about to have some fun. Don't you think so, girls?" she asked, looking at the small group behind her.

They laughed and nodded their heads in unison, before glaring at me and Luke. They all looked fake to me. I'm sure that their boobs weren't even real.

Abigail Simmons, was one of the girls that I really hated. She had wavy long blonde hair. She also had blue eyes, which came off to be snotty. She was a cheerleader, and fit in with what an American Girl should look like. Something about Abigail, was she couldn't act nice, even if someone was nice to her. She would find something bad about them. Bad thing was, she stood at my height, but I was sure that I was stronger than her, but I couldn't test that theory.

"Actually, I'm not having any fun. Now, please move out of before my foot is up your ass." I sidestepped her again, not really wanting to fight. I didn't want to get held back another grade.

She followed me, but I bolted on the other side of her and pushed my way through her "clique" before she could even blink. I knew that there was a frown on her face, but she didn't say anything as she was looking at Luke

"Don't even try, Abigail," Luke said, while he walked past her.

She didn't try anything with him, however she did glare at me, when she caught me staring at her. She gave me the middle finger, which I just blew a kiss at her, before I turned back around, wanting to leave her.

"Why does she hate me so much?" I asked, as soon as we are out of earshot. "I mean, I am a likeable person, sometimes."

"Sometimes," Luke agreed, before shrugging his shoulder. "And she thinks that she is superior over you because she has more money than you."

"Don't remind me," I groaned as we went to our first class. Hey, it wasn't my fault that we lived just above the poverty line. It just so happened that we had a really rough time with everything that had happened to us a couple of years ago, and we hadn't really recovered.

"Don't remind you of what exactly, Miss Lone?" Ms. Gables asked when we came into her classroom.

"That I am not a blonde, blue-eyed babe," I replied, sarcastically, disliking her a little more that I had in the past few years. I didn't know why she couldn't just leave me alone. She tried to stick her nose in my business, even though I didn't do it to her.

"Do you want detention, Miss Lone?" she asked, warning lacing her tone.

"No, Ma'am."

"Then keep your comments to yourself and tell the truth," she snapped, making me grit my teeth together.

I hated her. I hated her so much. She had been my teacher for years. She was maybe in her seven... uh er... forties, kind of the same age as my dad, even though he had left. She had black hair, that was always in a bun and brown eyes that seemed kind to everyone except for me.

"Come on, Joes" Luke said, pulling me away from her. He knew that I might go all cussing at her, since she had been like this for a long time.

"Why does she hate me?" I mumbled. I sat down in my seat and glared at her, before I turned back to the front of the room. I groaned, moving a hand through my hair.

"You'll find out soon enough why and what."

"What?"

He just smiled and shook his head, not going to say anything. However, he did confuse me more that I had been. He was talking like Yoda, and I didn't like it.

I sighed and shook my head. I had a feeling that my answers would be answered. If I had know that it would have happened sooner, then I guess I wouldn't have gone to my first day at work.
