"I love you. I love you. I love you" I said, my hands clasped in Shawn's, giving him a kiss after each "I love you" Shawn adjusted himself into a sitting position with me still on his lap. He let go of my hands and traced my jaw, then brought his fingers to my ear to brush away the hair. I put both of my hands on his toned chest and rested my forehead on his. "I love you" He whispered into my ear.

We stared into each other's eyes for awhile, his hazel eyes and my brown ones. The sunlight pouring into the room from the window highlighted the green in his eyes. "I wish we could be like this forever" I smiled at him.

"Don't worry" he rested his chin on top of mine. "We will. We're soulmates"

"And that's our story" I held the thick scrapbook that I was showing my eldest granddaughter, who was 17. "Obviously, your mom grew up to be exceptional. She ended up being like her dad and made beautiful music, met your father in Japan, and had you and your two siblings"

"Why didn't you and grandpa have any more children?" she asked, wonder still captivated in her eyes.

I shrugged. "Of course we loved kids but it just wasn't practical with your grandpa's schedule. Your mother was already such a handful"

"I was the handful?" Jasmine walked into the room. She was almost a carbon copy of her father but she got my brown eyes and nose. Her hair was cut into a bob but you can tell she straightened it or else it would be a curly mess.

She continued. "I think dad was more of a handful than I was"

"Oh definitely" I chuckled. I stood up from the living room couch and walked towards the kitchen, everyone following me.

"But that can't be the end of the story" my granddaughter whined.

I opened the fridge to grab the cake I had saved. I brought out a fork and took a bite. "I can't tell you everything, sweetheart. We'd be here for years"

She pouted. "I hope to find a love as great as you and grandpa. You know," she took out her phone. "I was listening to his songs and came across the one you talked about" she showed me "Fallin' All in You".

"Yes? What about it?"

"I hope you don't mind but when I was looking through the home videos, I found one and this song was playing in the background. I loved it"

"What video?" I asked, unaware.

She led me back to the living room and turned on the television. She clicked some buttons and played a video that was named, "For Alana".

Shawn's young self was on the screen, his hair a voluminous mess as it always was. He was on the bed of the first house we got together.

"Hi honey" he smiled, pearly whites aglow. "I'm not sure if you're seeing this five years from the time I made this or maybe even 50 but the plan is that you find it yourself. I'm not going to tell you"

He continued on. "I'm making this video to remind you about how much I love you. No matter what happens to us, I'll be there. Whether in person or in spirit"

I felt a huge wave of emotions come over me as a tear fell down my face. Shawn's voice rung around the room as though he were here. "Our baby is a year old now. Maybe you'll show this to her when she's older? I hope we're doing okay" he sighed.

"No. I know we're doing great. I'm sure you're just as beautiful as ever and I'm sure we still continue to flirt till that day. Whenever that may be"

"The first time I saw you, I instantly knew we would hit it off. It was fate that you left your phone or else who know where we'd be. I keep going all over the place, this is a mess" he chuckled.

"Anyways, all I wanted to say was that I love you. Forever and ever" he sent an air kiss and the video ended.

I turned to my granddaughter who passed me a napkin to wipe my face. "Thank you for finding this"

"Of course" she smiled lightly. "Grandpa was really handsome"

"He sure was" I beamed.

"Was?!?" his voice was heard from the front door and I turned around at my seat to look at him. I laughed and replied, "Awww, don't take it personal love bug. You have to admit, we're not young anymore"

I stood up from my seat and went to greet my husband who had just come back from doing interviews. He wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug. "I got the video" I whispered in his ear.

"What video?"

And so, our granddaughter played the video once more and afterwards, Shawn continued to tell her stories from our time.

From the moment I met him, I knew he was my one and only soulmate.

Holy cow, this is embarrassing. Hi!! It's been a while,, a year to be exact. I have to be honest with you all, I kind of got overwhelmed with the world over the past year and lost motivation to continue. I decided to put out one more chapter because it would be unfair to leave it as is.

I wanted to keep this chapter short and sweet and finally put Alana and Shawn to rest. I'm glad they got their happy ending. I started this story when I was 15 and now I'm turning 18 next month which is kind of insane. I truly wasn't expecting anyone to read it haha.

If anyone is still reading this after all this time, thank you! And I'm so sorry it took so long to get a new chapter. I haven't been involved with the Shawn fandom as much but I still listen to his music! Wonder came out which I LOVED. Teach Me How to Love is definitely a favorite.

I hope you all stay safe and healthy and thank you so much for reading Soulmates. The memories I've made with this book are ones I will cherish forever and that's all thanks to those of you who read it :) So one last time, thank you!
