i've always loved the madrigals, and thankfully, they did too. our families were both similar, we both had gifts. special powers we'd receive. mine was mind reading, but sometimes, it wasn't THAT fun to read other people's minds.
i loved all the madrigal's equally but there was just one of them that i took a strong liking too. hes a little flirt, incredibly adorable and handsome. he had the best set of brunette curls and cute brown freckles that covered his cheeks.
his name is Camilo Madrigal, my favourite of the family. we constantly flirt with each other, i dunno if he does it seriously or as a joke but mine is serious. i was very confident...kinda....
i took a HUGE liking to this boy! you're probably wondering 'oH wHy cAnt YoU jUsT ReAd HiS miNd' well- i would not like to hear something I wouldn't like okay?! Plus- its just invasive and rude...
but i still think about it sometimes-
I was walking to Casa madrigal, also known as casita, as i was actually gonna hang out with Camilo today. since he kept asking me this past week to hang out with him! Before i even arrived at Camilo's home, he ran into me...
making us both fall on our butts...
I heard him groan in pain before sitting up, he finally looked at me and a large smile appeared on his face. "Y/N!" He beamed before standing up, picking me up with him and spinning me around making me laugh and forget the pain. "well hello to you too mi mejor chico" i teased.
though its true, he is my best boy,

and i hope he fully knows that.
a blush appeared on his cheeks and he looked away with a flustered smile. "aww is mi mejor chico blushing!!" i teased yet again but the boy in front of me stayed silent, pouting slightly. "I'm meant to be the flirty one, you're the tímida one" he mumbled and I laughed, squishing his cheeks.
"now you're the whiny one" i joked which made him laugh a little bit. "so Cami, why did you want to meet up with me so bad?" I questioned in general curiosity, taking his hand in mine as we began walking down to our spot. "something very important!" He answered before we sat under our tree, our hands still connected.
"Sooo..." i said and i heard him sigh. "Y/n, i really like you, i think you're really talented and amazing and you're the most beautiful person i've ever met so...would you like to be my partner?" he said, at the end, his eyes made contact with mine. they were filled with love, affection but also, a little hope. i smiled and pulled him into a kiss.
he kissed back, hands hovering above my hips, suddenly he pulled away. "i can touch you there, right?" i smiled at his need for consent and immediately nodded. his hands touched my hips and gently rubbed them connecting our foreheads.
"tu y yo para siempre, mejor chico" I whispered, taking in his blush that tainted his cheeks.
"i'm glad, querida" he murmured back with a bashful smile.

8 185Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
8 297Life Once Again
Again, he must live life once again. But this time it's different. He had never repeated a life in a world that had housed him prior. With all the knowledge he had accumulated across realities, what would that mean for the world he once again visits? This is the first time I'm writing something. I've always daydreamed scenarios and finally got the courage to put one of them to paper. This will be a way to flex my nonexistent writing muscles, or to try and see if I even have any.
