A few weeks passed and Adrien didn't talk to Marinette. He was filled with mixed emotions that he didn't want to speak to anyone. Marinette had now just only been hanging with Luka moved sears in class. Jealousy and anger filled Adrien's soul but he couldn't look Marinette in the eye. He felt like he lost everything, he knew Marinette's secret of Ladybug. It's all he wanted but now it hurt him the most. Only then when they're fighting Akuma everything seems to be back to normal as heroes. But Adrien was lost with his emotions.

Adrien was at a gala hosted by his father. Adrien felt invisible in the crowd. Every red fabric he saw reminded him of her. Adrien sigh in hope that it was her. Then walked out to the balcony to view the city.

"Adrien..." He heard Chloe call him from behind.

"Go away," Adrien sighed as he didn't want to be inside.

"What?" Chloe said, getting closer to Adrien. "All your friends are inside."

"Not all of them," Adrien says as he looks down the balcony playing with the bracelet she gave him.

"Friends?" Chloe said. "You can't be talking about that pathetic Marinette! you broke up with her. You have to admit, you leaving me for that Marinette girl was pretty stupid."

"Stupid?" Adrien asked. "What d'you mean?"

"Oh c'mon!" Chloe scoffed. "You can't actually say that leaving me for her wasn't stupid! I mean, look at me! I'm pretty and rich! Everybody wants me! And now, look at her. She's just a plain Jane and baker's daughter! Nobody wants her!"

"That's not true!" Adrien said. "I wanted her!"

"Wanted?" Chloe chuckles. "What happened to 'I want her?'"

Adrien's eyes went down. "She hates me now." He said.

"Mmm, hmm," Chloe said, leaning against the balcony. "She hates you. Well, you know what? I don't hate you. So, you wanna get back together?"

Adrien looked up at Chloe. "No. Were just friends. I'm not going to stop having my feelings for her."

Chloe frowned. "You're gonna regret this, Adrien." She said. She got off the balcony and walked out the door and slammed it.

"They were 2 different people." Adrien couldn't wrap around that idea.

"So are you, Adrien," Plagg says, "Your Chat Noir and your Adrien! Come one you even said that as Chat Noir that your true self."

"Yeah but that shouldn't matter. What Marinette did is inexcusable."

"So she tricked you kid," Plagg added.

"But what if Marinette wasn't ladybug would I still have done that to her?" Adrien added.

"Adrien they are the same person! That all that should matter!!" Plagg yelled.

Adrien stayed silent, "Your right! I have to go tell Marinette. Thanks, Plagg!"

"Wait... What?! I don't help!"Plagg responded with confusion.

"I'm so glad your here Mari," Luka thanked as he was about to go on stage.

"Of course," Marinette smiled, "Or who else was going to fix your costume."

"Ready for your song?" Rose interjected their conversation to ask Luka.

"Song?" Marinette asked as she looked at Luka.

Luka gave a glance at Rose and then looked at Marinette, "Yeah, I'm singing this next song."

"He wrote just you," Rose awed before Ivan started to carry her.

"Come on Rose your spoiling the surprise."

"Oh no! Am I!" Rose started to panic and Ivan took her.

Luka chuckled as know he owed Marinette, "Look this next song is very special, I wrote it to express my feelings."

Marinette blushed as she nervously responds, "Wow, I know you're going to do great. Break a leg!"

Luka gently got her hand, "Just let me know how you feel about it as you hear it. As I hope it changes our relationship."

"Huh?" Marinette asked but Luka just winked as he went on stage.

The band started to play the intro of the song. Luka took a moment to do a guitar solo before grabbing the mic as he sang, "I want your love, and I want your revenge..."

Marinette lost her breath as she watches sing with such passion as he turns to look back at her, "I want your love, I don't wanna be friends..."

She could feel that the words were directed at her as he sang, "J'veux ton amour, et je veux ta revanche, J'veux ton amour, I don't wanna be friends. No, I don't wanna be friends...." He approaches her with his hand out, "I don't wanna be friends. No, I don't wanna be friends."

Marinette's heart beat as she took his hand and followed him on stage. She smiled as he continued to sing as he leads to a mic.

"Want your bad romance!" he sang as he nodded towards to follow along, "Caught in a bad romance. Want your bad romance!"

The band behind them continued to sing along, "I want your love, and I want your revenge. You and me could write a bad romance. I want your love and all your lover's revenge. You and me could write a bad romance."

"You can do it!" Reassured Rose Marinette.

Luka blushes as he saw Marinette took a breath as she took the mic, "Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh Caught in a bad romance. Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh."

Adrien saw the concert live on the Ladyblog. Jealously filled him in as he wanted to take action before it's too late. Chat Noir flew across the sky where he landed on Marinette's balcony and regretted his idea that he was making up as he goes. He gulps and knocked on her balcony door. The door creaked open as Marinette's head popped out, "Chat Noir is there an Akuma?"

"Hello, Marinette" Chat Noir was greeted as he surprises Marinette from coming to her home.

Marinette closed the balcony door behind her, "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I wanted to see you" as he leans on his pole but Marinette didn't look convince, " I need to tell you something." He said in a sheepish tone.

"Chat this really isn't the time..." She was cut off.

"No m' lady..." Chat lungs for her arm to stop her from leaving.

"What did you say?" Marinette said in astonishment.

"M'lady, I know your Ladybug," Chat Noir admitted.

"I don't know what you're talking about?"

"There is plenty to talk about Marinette." He said, his voice softening. "For example what a fool I've made of myself in front of the woman I love."

"Chat what are you talking about?" Marinette said in confusion.

Chat Noir pulled his hand out to show his ring blinky to its ends. A bright light blinds Marinette to turn her head. She looks back and sees Adrien in Chat Noir spot.

"I said a lot of terrible things that day that... that I didn't mean. I managed to lose you twice... that's gotta be some kind of record... Anyway... Mari... Marinette I'm so sorry. I still cheated but the more it seems you both were two completely different people. I forgot to notice you two were exactly the same," Adrien started to explain.

"Adrien..." Marinette wanted him to stop.

"Deep inside I knew it was you but I was blind and foolish. If there is any part of you that can forgive me... Please... Please let's try to fix this. I know I don't deserve you after the way that I have been acting... I love you Marinette. Only you. I swear. Please forgive me. I don't know what I would do without you. I'm so sorry..." Adrien turned his eyes to the floor and looked away.

Marinette had for days stopped crying about the betrayal and the breakup. In reality, he had never even lied to her about Ladybug seeing as she had never asked why he acted differently. He had been faithful to her and ladybug. She couldn't bring herself to throw away their love but for a while, she felt it was gone. It was already months prior. She walked slowly over to Adrien and intertwine her hand into his. "Adrien... We've been through too much to just throw it away. But because we are partners we have too. And I am at fault. I should have told you about me from the beginning."

Adrien looked at Marinette and pulled the bracelet from his pocket turning it in his fingers, "this really is a lucky charm."

"Um, but... you and I can't be together. We have a lot of problems we need to work through."

"At least now when I go see you as Ladybug, I can finally take off the suit." Adrien chuckled but Marinette took her hand away.

"Adrien. We are more than friends, you are my first love but I moved on," Marinette admit it.

"Oh, so you and Luka?"

"We're dating and I think it's for the best that we just be friends," Marinette sighed as she turned away.

"But Mari, what about us?" Adrien asked.

"I don't wanna leave it all behind but I get my hopes up, " Marinette responded, "I'm happy. At least, for now, I gotta go my own way."

Adrien nodded as he then transforms into Chat Noir, "So friends?"

"Always." Marinette nodded as she watched Chat Noir jumped off her roof.

"Why did you tell him you moved on," Tikki asked after Chat Noir left.

"I couldn't let him forgive me," Marinette sighed, "We can't be together."

"What are you talking about?" Tikki asked with confusion.

"He knows my identity and I know his. We can't be together," Marinette explains, "I...I didn't expect it to be him."

"So that's it? The end?" Tikki asked.

"We are heroes of this city we aren't supposed to know each other identities," she sighed as she watched the horizon, "It was the only thing that protected us from Shadow moth."

"What do you mean?"Tikki asked.

"It was only a matter of time 'till everyone knows. It was our love that did this to the world, "Marinette fearfully recalled. All she wanted was to confess her love to Adrien and be with him. However, her love blinded her choices as she then started to play him. Seeing him as Ladybug and dating as Marinette. The whole ordeal cause her to reveal her identity which in return she found out about his. Memories flashed in her mind as she see Chat Blanc. She shook her head tearing up, "What have I gotten myself into?"

"My worst fear came true," Adrien sighed as he lay in his bed.

"What are you talking about?"Plagg groans as he asked as he was unwrapping his newest mildest cheese.

"I lost her," Adrien sighed.

"I thought you kissed and make up," Plagg asked.

"We did makeup but I pushed her away for too long. She's now with Luka," Adrien shook his head in disbelief, "I can't believe I distanced myself for too long."

"Come on are you sure that she is dating the guitar blueberry?" Plagg suggested.

"Yeah, and why not? He's a great guy. I disappointed her and now that I told her I'm Chat Noir she probably doesn't want me as her partner to save the day. Something broke and I don't know how to fix it," Adrien look back at his computer where he had images of photos of Marinette and Ladybug.

"Is that how you feel?"

"Look what she did in creating the deception was wrong. But it was always her. I fell in love with the girl under the mask and that was always Marinette. I was too late to tell her."

"come on what happened to go after the girl that loved?" Plagg cried out.

"The problem is she knows I love her. But she chose someone else," Adrien look out to the night sky.

Marinette was with her friends in school discussing their weekend with the concert being the highlight. Immidetaly Marinette's friends started to ask about her and Luka's relationship. Marinette wanted to avoid the conversation got a text from Luka.

"Ohh, is that Adrien?" Rose asked as Marinette was reading the texts instantly.

Marinette's head went up from her phone to look at her. She shook her head as she responded, "no it's Luka."

The girls squealed in response. Alya took charge of the conversation to ask, "So what is going on with you two?"

"Nothing was just friends," Marinette explained.

"Oh really? Cause it seems like he likes to text you and send you messages," Alya started to list.

"And write and sing songs that seem dedicated to you," Maylene sang as she added to Alya's list.

"So what's is going on with you two?" Alix asked.

"Look nothing is going on, "Marinette explained trying to calm down her friends as she glances to another side of the courtyard to Adrien with his friends, "My heart still belongs to Adrien."

"Awww," Her friends sang.

"And are you going to do anything about it?" Alya asked.

Marinette shook her head, "No, it's better if we're just friends now."
