"What is all this?" Luke asked as he watched Michael and Calum carrying loads of snacks in their arms.

"Something to eat while watching the play" Michael said like it was obvious.

"It's a play made by preschoolers, it's like 10 minutes long" Ashton spoke and laughed lightly. He was standing with his back against Luke's chest while the blonde had his arms wrapped around Ashton's body, keeping him warm in the quite chilly Saturday noon.

Ashton smiled when Luke held him even closer to his chest and breathed in the smell of Ashton's soft hair. Ashton turned his head to the side and glanced up at Luke before leaving a sweet kiss against the blonde's jaw.

"Turn down the PDA guys, we're outside a preschool" Calum said with a grimace, making Ashton laugh and Luke roll his eyes.

The four boys where standing outside Peach and Leon's preschool while waiting for their families to arrive. Since it was the preschools first play, and first time Peach and Leon was in anything like this, it was not only exciting for their fathers, but also their entire families.

Luke wasn't very excited of having his family here though. They always ended up embarrassing him and he wasn't very keen of having that in front of all the other parents and Ashton's family.

Luke had met Ashton's mother a few times and he absolutely loved her. She was almost always smiling and Luke understood where Ashton had gotten his carefree personality from. Luke adored Ashton's siblings as well. The whole Irwin family put a smile on Luke's face, just as they did to Leon.

"Can we go inside? It's cold" Michael whined as he jumped up and down to keep himself warm.

"We have to wait for everyone to get here" Luke said before burying his nose in the back of Ashton's hair, causing the older boy to giggle quietly.

"Speak of the devils" Ashton spoke as he looked up to see his mother and siblings walk towards them. Anne was smiling big at all them while Lauren was typing away on her phone as Harry was trying to get her attention.

"Hello" Anne spoke happily to all the boys, walking over and kissing both Ashton and Luke's cheeks before walking over to introduce herself to Michael and Calum.

Luke scoffed quietly when Michael and Calum introduced themselves as 'uncles', making the Irwin's believe they were Luke's brothers.

"No no, the Hemmings' family hasn't arrived yet. They're always late" Calum said and laughed when Luke smiled a bit ashamed.

"Yeah," Michael said and nodded his head before turning to Ashton, "So don't be surprised when Luke's late to your wedding"

"Wedding?" Anne asked and gasped while Lauren raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"What wedding?" A voice said behind them, making everyone turn around to see Liz with wide eyes and Andrew furrowing his eyebrows slightly.

"No wedding, there's no wedding" Luke answered and shook his head with wide eyes, slightly frightened when seeing his mother giving him a stern look.

"Don't ever plan a wedding without telling your mother, that's the golden rule" Anne said and put one finger in the air, trying to make her point.

Both Luke and Ashton rolled their eyes at their mothers, making them earn scolding looks from both women. Luke blushed and Ashton laughed along with Luke's brothers and Michael and Calum.

"Can we go inside please, it's so cold" Harry mumbled and shoved his hands down in his pockets grumpily. Luke understood that going to a preschool play on a Saturday wasn't very fun for a 15 year old, so he got why Harry sounded so grumpy.

"Yeah, let's get inside and take our seats" Andrew spoke and let Liz and Anne inside while the youths followed suit.

Before stepping inside to the building, Luke stopped Ashton so they were alone, before he leaned down and placed a sweet kiss on the older boy's lips.

"What was that for?" Ashton asked with a pretty smile on his face.

Luke shrugged, "I just love you" he spoke before kissing Ashton once more.

"That's fucking cheesy, no wonder you're gay" Jack spoke as he stuck his head out from the door.

Luke pulled away from Ashton and turned to glare at his older brother. Jack put his hands up in surrender, making Luke roll his eyes and Ashton laugh.

"What do you want?" Luke muttered and looked at his brother with irritated eyes while still keeping Ashton close.

"Nothing," Jack said and shrugged, "It's just that your kids' play starts in like one minute and you two are still out here making out"

Luke blushed before giving Jack one more glare, making Jack laugh and disappear inside again.

"God, I hate family get-togethers" Luke mumbled, making Ashton chuckle.

"Stop being so grumpy," he spoke and reached up to kiss Luke quickly on his lips, "Let's go watch our kids act like plants in the nature"

"Harry!" Leon cheered when he ran out from backstage. The small boy ran past all his family, both Luke and Ashton, to engulf Ashton's little brother in a hug.

Ever since Leon had met Harry, and Harry had played with both toddlers, Leon had found a best friend in the 15 year old.

"You were awesome, little man" Harry spoke as he ruffled Leon's light brunette hair. Everyone else complimented Leon's work in the play, making the small boy grin proudly before he walked up to his father and hugged his long legs.

Peach came walking out from backstage as well, smiling and blushing when everyone started to compliment her as well. The small girl smiled over to her grandmother, aunt and uncle before shyly walking up to her father and held her hands up to show Ashton she wanted him to pick her up.

"You did so good, sweetie" Ashton said and smiled big at his daughter as he picked her up and held her close to his chest.

Luke picked up Leon as well and placed the small boy on his hip before kissing his forehead. Luke walked over to Ashton and Peach to place the same kiss on Peach's forehead.

"You were both so good, it's Hollywood next for you two" Andrew said and bopped both toddlers noses, making them giggle.

Ashton laughed lightly, making Luke look at him with a fond smile on his face. Both of the their families could easily see just how much in love the two boys were with each other, and it brought a smile to each of their faces.

Ashton leaned closer to Luke and looked at him with big hazel-green eyes. Luke chuckled softly and held Leon close to his chest before leaning in the last inches and placed his lips on Ashton's.

Peach patted the her fathers' cheeks and quietly whispered, "Don't kiss here, they will be mean about it"

Ashton pulled away from Luke and looked at his daughter with a small frown. Luke did the same, feeling a sharp pain go through his heart when hearing almost fear in Peach's voice.

"What do you mean with that?" Luke asked and looked at Peach with worried eyes. Luke hated that they had to have this conversation in front of their families, it made the whole situation ten times worse.

"They are mean because they say it's weird that a boy kiss a boy" Leon said and hid his face in his father's neck.

Both Ashton and Luke's faces dropped at their kids' words, making both fathers feel so unbelievably sad. For them to find out that the small ones were getting teased on because their fathers were romantically involved, was more than heartbreaking.

"I- Who said that?" Ashton asked quietly, trying to not get their families to hear their conversation.

"Almost everyone" Peach answered quietly.

Ashton and Luke sighed as they held their kids close. They were lost for words, they only felt that aching pain in their chest as they stood there in the middle of the preschool.

"You know what, sweethearts?" Liz said and walked over to the toddlers and placed a hand on their backs so they lifted their heads from their fathers and looked at her.

"What these kids say to you are their own beliefs, but that doesn't mean they are true or right. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a man loving another man. Nor is it anything wrong with a woman loving another woman.

"What your fathers are teaching you is right. They teach you that it's okay to love whoever you want and to be whoever you want, and that is the greatest thing to be taught in this world" Liz spoke and smiled at the small ones.

"Why?" Peach asked with big green eyes wide open in curiosity.

"Because if you have been taught that it's okay to be whoever you want and whoever you feel comfortable with, you will live a life that is thousand times better than a life every kid in your preschool lives"

Ashton smiled at Liz as she was speaking to the kids, while Luke was looking at his mother with so much thankfulness that it warmed up Liz so much, the chilly weather outside could be mistaken for a tropical one. She only spoke the truth, everyone knew she did, but Ashton and Luke were just so grateful that someone could word out the truth to everyone out there.

"Yeah, that's right," Ashton said and looked at both Peach and Leon, "You could be and love whoever you want to, and I'd never ever think less of you"

Ashton nuzzled his nose against Peach's, making the small girl giggle before draping her small arms around Ashton's neck and tugged him closely.

Luke mouthed a 'thank you' to his mother before leaning in to place a kiss on her forehead. Liz only smiled to say that it wasn't a big deal, but to Luke it was. To Luke it was everything.

"I don't care if they are mean because my dads a cooler than their dads" Leon spoke, making everyone laugh fondly.

"So, is anyone up for lunch, or are you going home?" Andrew asked.

Luke looked down at Leon in his arms before looking at Ashton and Peach. He kind of wanted this moment with only Ashton and their kids, so he smiled lovingly before looking at his own father.

"I think we're going home"

**

"Say goodnight to dad" Ashton said to the two toddlers as they were off to bed.

"Goodnight" both the small ones said, making Luke smile and sit up in the couch to lean in and kiss both toddlers on the tip of their noses.

"Goodnight, you were both so good today. I'm so proud of you" Luke said before the small ones skipped out of the living room and followed Ashton into their bedroom.

Or, actually it's Leon's room but every time Ashton and Peach stay over, Leon's room becomes Peach and Leon's, and Luke's room becomes Ashton and Luke's.

They were like a real family, and Luke loved it.

The blonde stretched out his long legs and changed the channel away from the child TV-show before standing up from the couch and walked into the kitchen. He opened the fridge and took out two beers. He opened them before walking back to the living room and sat down on the couch.

Not only a minute after, Ashton quietly sneaked out of the toddlers' bedroom and slowly shut the door closed.

"Beer, really?" Ashton asked as he sat down on Luke's lap and draped his arm over Luke's broad shoulders.

"After today I think we're more than worth it" Luke said and leaned forward to grab one of the beer bottles and handed it to Ashton.

"Yeah" Ashton mumbled and nodded his head before taking a gulp from the bottle.

"Can you believe that though? I mean, the kids are only 4 years old and they already think homosexuality is wrong?" Luke asked with a frown on his face as he pulled Ashton closer to himself.

"The kids don't think so, but there must be someone who had made them think so," Ashton spoke softly, "We're all born with innocent minds, that's why kids are so caring and truthful. But then there's always something or someone who messes their minds up with all kinds of shit. That's why the world is still fucked up, even if we're years into the 2000s"

"Yeah," Luke sighed out before leaning his chin against Ashton's shoulder, "I just felt so bad that we didn't know or notice our kids are being teased on because of us being in love"

"I know," Ashton mumbled and let his fingertips play with Luke's hair in the back of his neck, "But after your mother held that small speech of hers, I suddenly felt like the greatest father on the god damn earth"

Ashton turned around a bit in Luke's lap and smiled down at the blonde, "I mean, she is right though. What we're doing is quite amazing, we're teaching our kids to always be happy. Just imagine how many kids out there that hide away their whole lives and never gets to feel real happiness"

Luke bit the inside of his cheek and nodded his head before smiling and leaned in to place his lips on Ashton's in a slow and loving kiss.

"I love you so much" he whispered against Ashton's lips as they had pulled away just a few inches.

"I love you too" Ashton whispered back and smiled adoringly before placing his lips on Luke's again.

After a few minutes of kissing, Ashton moved around a bit until he way lying down on the couch with his head in Luke's lap. Luke's fingers found their way into Ashton's hair, combing through it soothingly while watching the TV and slowly sipping his beer.

"Would you ever see yourself marrying me?" Ashton spoke up suddenly, making Luke look down at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"What?" he asked softly, a bit confused by the sudden question. Such a serious question as well.

"I was just thinking about what came up before the play today, I thought it through a bit, and I'm just wondering if you'd ever see yourself marrying me?" Ashton asked again and looked up at Luke with those big and beautiful eyes.

Luke looked down at his pretty boyfriend and soon smiled adoringly. Luke didn't even have to think about an answer to that question.

"Of course I do. Maybe not right now because I think it's a bit early in our relationship," he spoke and ran his fingers through Ashton's hair gently while the older boy chuckled softly, "But of course I see myself marrying you some day. You and Peach are the only people I see in Leon and I's future"

"You're so amazing" Ashton whispered out after a few seconds of silence and intense staring.

Luke smiled and leaned down to place his lips on Ashton's again. They had kissed so many times, but Luke never got tired of it. He was positive that he never would get tired either.

"I know" Luke hummed against Ashton's lips, making the older boy snort and shove Luke's shoulder playfully.

"Can you promise me one thing though?" Ashton asked and licked his lips as he looked into Luke's pretty blue eyes.

"Of course, anything"

"Promise me you won't be late to our wedding" Ashton said and gave Luke a pointed look.

Luke laughed lightly at what Ashton had just said, making his eyes crinkle and his one dimple appear. Ashton thought he was a masterpiece.

"Okay," Luke chuckled and caressed Ashton's cheek lovingly, "I'll promise to try and not be late to our wedding"
