When I saw Philip, Harry and Laila in the room, I wasn't surprised. But when I saw Talia, my heart squeezed in pain. I don't know what lies these morons have told her about me. But she looked surprised to see me. I then begun to wonder if she had forgotten me. But then she gave me her brilliant smile and got up. I know she would want to come to me.
Laila pulled her down as soon as Talia got up. I was so thankful I am in chains or I would have broken that b*tch's neck right in front of everyone. A cause absolutely worth dying.
Then I saw a extremely fashionably dressed woman with a headscarf walking forward and to my surprise, Sarah. What the hell is she doing here? She walked towards Laila, and I saw Laila summoning her fake politeness. I don't know what Sarah said, but I know Philip and Harry look very uncomfortable and kind of shooting daggers at her. Since Sarah's facing her back to me, I cant see her speaking or expression. She shook hands with Philip and Harry. And then the judge came in.
Sarah sat next to Talia. All through out the session I kept an eye on Talia. And I can see from the corner of my eyes what is happening. Talia cant sit in a place for more than 5 minutes. The reason these idiots brought her here was to warn me. And I am sufficiently warned.
Then I saw Sarah speaking to Talia and calming her. But what surprised me was when Sarah stood up. I really didn't expect that.
But when she stood up, I thought it was about me. But what surprised me was she complained in front of the judge about abuse of Talia. And that got my temper to dangerous levels. And when the officers confirmed there were physical marks of abuse and when I saw Philip approaching Talia, and when I saw Sarah defend Talia I was kind of lost as in what to do for a moment.
But when the judge gave the final verdict, things came crashing in. No, I am not going down alone. If I am going down for something I didn't do, then I will take those who committed the crime along with me.

So I told them the truth. But I don't think there is much use as I was taken back kicking and screaming just before I saw Sarah take Talia out of the court room. When I struggle to break free, the police guys beat me. And then I heard a woman screaming.
"I am Jennifer Lawrence, attorney at law. Mr. Steve Amrstrong is my client. Any mental, physical abuse will be prosecuted under regardless who commits it. I want Mr.Armstrong to be taken to the prison unharmed" wow, from where did she come from?
"Mr. Armstrong, I a friend of Sarah. I will be handling your case going forward. I will meet you soon to discuss further action that needs to be taken. Please calm yourself as you have a lot to lose by being aggressive"
"Ask Sarah to speak to me, please. I beg you. Ask her to come and see me" I need to know what has happened to Talia.
"I will. We will help you out. Just calm down and do as you are said" and I did.

Talia was abused in unimaginable ways. Except for her face, I saw bruises everywhere else. Even in her private areas. The medical doctor who examined her was close to tears when she saw the extend of the abuse and so was I. She took picture as a record and I know these records can be manipulated. So I got a copy of it, though she kept saying it is illegal. But I somehow persuaded her and got it.
Then to my surprise, we found out she is pregnant. 3 months.
And I almost lost my balance.
She was raped.
"Who is the psychiatrist this case will be referred to?" I asked the doctor.
"I don't know. I need to check in to it"
"Is there anyway I can handle her case?" I asked her again hoping there will be some way I can make sure Talia is not manipulated nor forced in to confessions.
"Doctor, I work at the general hospital. Since in this unit, only physical examinations only are conducted, can you make your request and recommendations to general hospital, where I can take care of her?" I asked her. I need to do it now as this unit can not keep Talia. It has to be a place where they have a psychiatric unit and also a shelter for abuse victims, and we at general hospital have both, and non other than yours truly - myself is in charge of both units. This doctor need not know details of it.

And I was successful in doing so.
And that is how I ended up having Talia and being her best friend, ofcourse after Steve, who is her best friend and brother, according to Talia. She has to rest before I start the examination. Right now, she isn't fully prepared to talk about anything except ask for Steve.
Is it possible to call prison and get them on call?
I called Jen and gave her a quick update. She briefed me on what happened after I left.
"So can I call Steve? I mean do they have access to phone calls?"
"Ok Jen, be online. I am going to put you on conference" and she dialed I don't know some number and I was on hold. I waited for about 30 minutes before she spoke to me again.
"Okay, Steve will come shortly. Not easy to get access, you know"
"Hello" we heard the Steve from other end.
"Hello Steve, Jen here. Sarah is on the other line" Jen said.
"How is Talia?" Steve asked.
"She is fine. Right now in the general hospital. But I will keep an eye on her. Listen, I am going to pass the phone to her. She was asking about you and doesn't seem to calm down. Speak to her, and once some formalities are over, she will visit you" I lied. She cant visit him in near future but from the breathing I can hear, I know Steve is fighting for control.
"okay"
"Talia honey, you brother and friend - Steve wants to speak to you" and I gave the phone. Talia almost grabbed the phone from me.

"Steve, I waited for you everyday. I arrange your room. I sleep in your room now. You didn't come to see me. They said you died" my heart broke. My sweet girl. I can feel tears streaming down.
"Sweetheart, I will come to you. I promise you. I was held here by these cops. But you know how much I love you, right? And you know Steve keeps his promise. Don't you?" I told her.
"I know. I missed you. I remembered you everyday. I like Sarah. She is my friend. I told her I like you more. Because you are my friend and brother. Sarah is only friend. She is not my brother" oh Talia.
"I know sweetheart. I know. You are my favorite person in the world. Did Harry or Philip hurt you?" I wanted feed my anger, so I asked.
"They said you were dead. But now you are alive. They cant hurt me"
And the guards came to say time up.
"Sweetheart, Sarah will take you one day to see me. Be a good girl until that. Do what Sarah says. okay?"
"okay"
"Now pass the phone to Sarah"
"Yes, Steve" that was Sarah.
"Thank you" I told her truly thanking her.
"I will come and see you with Jen soon. Please stay out of trouble until then. Talia is in good hands" she said concerned.
And I hung up.
And time to step up the game. The reason I agreed to face death was Talia. There was no way they would have left Talia alive if I refused to sign my own death warrant. Now she is not only alive but also safe. And if Philip and Harry thinks it is okay to kill their own blood and blame it on me, well time to think twice.
And I know how Philip works. I was working for that bastard for a long time. So I requested for pen and paper - wrote end to end what happened the other day, and gave it copies of it to some of the most illiterate inmates who doesn't know how to read telling them it is a letter to my girlfriend I wish no one discovers. And I wrote a note and pasted on the prison door "With location of evidence, letters have been written". So anyone attempts to kill me would know that, it is not going to work out.
And I will wait for Jen and Sarah.
