《I don't love》Part 18

Natasha's POV
"Do you think we should tell them?" Steve asked as it was a loud bang on Steve's door down the hall. We had stayed in my room for almost a day. It's already dark outside.
They were looking for Steve.
"Let's make it fun." I said smirking. Steve had his arms around me and I kissed his lips. I then put my mouth close to his ear and whispered my plan.
Steve's POV
Everyone, that being Bruce, Pepper, Thor, Tony and Clint, sat in the living room area. As usual. Enjoying a debate about pop tarts. Not hard to guess who started it.
Natasha and I walked inside the room and all their faces turned towards us.
"Guess who I found?" I said smirking as I looked at Natasha. She was standing beside me. Not too close though.
"Natasha! You're back!" Pepper smiled happily. Clint rushed up from the sofa and almost ran to Natasha. He hugged her tight.
"Nat I'm so glad you're back. You are not going to believe how hard it's been making mean comments alone. Please save me." He whispered desperately in her ear, loud enough for me to hear.
"Oh stop it." Natasha said as she hugged him back. "You've enjoyed these months."
Clint smirked at her before he walked back to one of the sofas.
"Lady Natasha! It's nice to have you back." Thor said from the sofas and greeted us with a huge smile. "Now that you're here, what is better, pop tarts or popcorn?"
Natasha just laughed at him.
"Oh, isn't that great.. You're back." Tony said with a sarcastic tone. He was sitting beside Pepper, focusing on a magazine in his hands.
"Yes isn't that great. Finally someone to make fun of you again. And why are you reading that car magazine when you have a bunch of magazines with naked ladies underneath your bed?" Natasha said, smirking at Tony.
Tony looked up surprised but scared as hell. His eyes widened as he looked at Natasha.
"What?! Tony is that true?" Pepper said angrily. Tony just looked at Natasha with a look that said 'If I could, I would kill you.'
"Of course it's true." Natasha said laughing. "But they're stuck below the bed. He's too smart not to put them on the floor."

Tony looked at Natasha and mouthed "how the hell do you know that?".
Everyone looked at them both and we tried our best not to burst out in laughter.
"Well, anyone up for a game?" Natasha asked and everyone nodded. Most of them were already soon to be drunk and everyone had a glass of alcohol in their hands. Or a bottle.
"What kind of game?" Pepper asked.
Before either Natasha or I could open our mouths, Tony spoke.
"Truth or dare. I want to know Natasha's secrets." He said, drinking his beer.
"Good luck with that honey." Natasha said as we sat down, beside each other, in one of the empty couches.
I took a beer and started to drink.
"Natasha, truth or dare." Tony said, annoyed. Pepper still gave Tony a murder look which he tried to avoid.
"Dare." Natasha said, half smiling.
Tony thought a while, but both Nat and I knew what his dare would be. Everything went according to plan.
"Kiss Steve." He finally said and I smiled in my head. I knew Natasha did too. But we played it good.
"What?!" Natasha said, acting surprised. "I'm not doing that, no offence." She said, looking at me. I did my best not to laugh.
"None taken." I said.
"Natasha, it's the rules. Follow them or you're out." Tony said. Everyone looked at me and Natasha. A big smirk took place at her face and she looked at Clint. He understood by know. Clint got it and his face got a surprised expression. He knew how to read her very well. Natasha lifted one eyebrow at Tony before her lips was planted at mine. It wasn't a quick kiss. It went on and I kissed her back. Everyone sat still, watching us. I blushed a little but didn't stop. Everyone had their mouths open expect for Clint, who's surprised face had turned into a smirk.
As Natasha stopped kissing me, she sat beside me as nothing had happened. I acted the same way.
"What?" Natasha said as everyone's eyes were at us. Clint still had the same smirk on his face, proud that he was the only one who understood.
"Shall we keep playing?" I asked, acting surprised by there stares.

"Em I.. I.." Tony started, not knowing what to say. Clint couldn't hold it any longer.
"You idiots, they're dating." Clint said as he laughed at everyone's expression.
"You're what?" Bruce said with a confused look on his face.
"CONGRATULATIONS!" Thor yelled happily.
"How long has this been going on?" Pepper said smiling at us.
"Well.. " I began but Clint began talking instead.
"A few month before Natasha left." He said and both Natasha and I looked over at him surprised.
"How did you know?" Natasha asked confused.
"You're an open book Natasha. An open book." Clint said.
Natasha raised her eyebrows.
"Well that's great!" Pepper said, smiling again. "Isn't it great Tony?"
Tony sat still, his eyes still wide open. He stared at us and it looked like he was in shock.
"Tony?" Bruce said as he tapped his arm.
"How could you?" Tony finally said, looking at me. "I thought we were friends.. And you're dating her?"
I just laughed.
"Oh stop it Tony. We all know that you love me." Natasha said and Tony gave her a death stare.
Natasha's POV
After a while of talking, I was in need of some air.
"I'm just going out to the balcony, I need some air." I said to Steve.
"I'll come with you." Steve said as I kissed his cheek.
"No, you stay. I'll be back in five minutes. Not ten months." I smiled at him and he turned to speak to Thor and Clint.
I opened the doors to the balcony and let the cold air meet my face. I walked out and stood by the rail, looking out over the city. I enjoyed the cold and breathed in the air. It had the smell of winter. Cold and familiar. As I stood there, a voice was heard behind me.
"Hey."
I looked back to see Bruce.
"Hey." I said back.
"Okey if I join you?" He asked.
"Well, I don't own the balcony." I said smirking. He went outside and stood beside me, looking out over New York.
We were quiet for a while. My memories went back to when we almost became a pair. I didn't love him though. Not like I love Steve. It was more of a comfort zone. But I loved him as a coworker and hopefully as a friend.
"So you're dating?" Bruce finally said and looked at me.
"Yeah I don't like the word dating. I'd say together." I said, not facing his looks.
"I'm happy for you." He said, smiling.
I turned my head to look at him.
"No you're not." I said seriously.
His smile faded and his expression became sad. "Don't lie to me. People have lied to me my entire life. I know the difference between a lie and the truth." I said annoyed.
"I'm sorry." He said and looked down.
"You had your chance with me but you left me. But it's fine, I understand. I don't want anything to be odd between us." I said.
"You left Steve. It's pretty much the same if you think about it." He said, not wanting it to sound rude.
"It's different." I said.
"You love him, that's the difference."
"I'm sorry." I said, looking at Bruce.
Bruce smiled half a smile.
"I actually am happy for you. And Steve." He said and I smirked.
"Thank you but please enough with the cheesiness. I'll get enough from Pepper tomorrow morning." I said and Bruce chuckled.
"I'm going inside. You coming?" He asked.
"I'll be right there." I said and he went inside. I took a last deep breath before I stepped inside and my eyes were drawn to Steve in the couch. He looked at me with his blue ocean eyes and smiled brightly. I couldn't help but smile and I felt something unusual. It felt like my entire body smiled and I wanted to scream. And laugh. At first I thought it was my love for Steve. It took a while before I realised what it was. Something I haven't felt in a long time. Something I'm not sure I have ever felt.
Happiness.

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".
8 202Oublivant
Oublivants: a category of dungeons characterised by the antithesis of life, necrosis. "Dungons as a whole tend towards the lethal side when it comes to exploring them; however, an oublivant actively seeks out destruction on a grand scale. No greater example of their deep hatred for life exists than the very first discovery of an oublivant. It was a massive dungeon spanning miles in all directions. It continuously expanded along the surface, so fast you could see it, and left nothing but a scorched, withered wasteland in its wake. Wherever the oublivant resides, nothing but the undead exist, as all living life has been eradicated. Why it is, exactly, the oublivant seem so against life so as to break the passive rule dungeons have is unknown. What is known, however, is that they're a threat that, upon discovery, is to be immediately eliminated." - Archomagus Addiom Onero, Court of VascilNote: This is my first story on royal road. It'd be nice if you were nice... nicely.
