《My Artbook of Random Doodles!》When I Put Effort Into My Art

Yet another months-old artwork I created. I put hours of effort into it, back when I wasn't too experienced with MediBang Paint (the art program I created it on, as usual). However, while I thought it looked absolutely GLORIOUS at the time I finished it, I see now that it isn't all that glamorous to me (at least, not as much as some of my other artworks).

For one, the lineart is far too light. Nowadays, I either just:

- keep the lineart black

- keep the lineart black, but highlight it with the airbrush

- Make the lineart darkee than the base color, as I did here, I make it a lot darker, not a little darker as I did in this art.

Oh, and the highlighting on the hair looks weird and is all over the place. Too light in areas pf the hair where it should be darker, and vice-versa.

However, if there's one thing I think I did right, it's the eyes. The shiny, complex effect in them looks beautiful, but at the same time, the eyes don't look like I carelessly scribbled some trash and loaded a ton of special effects onto it like a cheap sci-fi movie, as the rest of the art does.

I don't usually hate my art (I love it nearly all the time and take massive pride in it), but I truly do hate this one. Maybe I'm just nitpicking and mindlessly ranting, but it had to be said because I felt like it did.

So... yeah.
