[meeting james olsen through very unusual circumstances]

being kara's friend since she was young, you knew about her outer worldly past (mostly because of your radioactive past and how she trusted you). so when she told you she was going to tell her two newest friends you were critical. for all she knew they couldn't be trusted, but she insisted that they would be fine. just in case she let you come along to the meeting of all the supergirl friends.

after she did her little show off, you watched from behind a ladder, listening to make sure everything went alright. well you watched for awhile until she decided to announce your presence. "oh and guys this my super powered friend, y/n!" kara said while pointing to your location. you quickly rolled your eyes before walking out and crossing your arms.

"oh so these are the dimwits you chose to know your secret?" you asked, pointing to the new photographer and winn, who you weren't sure on what he did. the two then pointed at each other in surprise, "he knows?" you roll your eyes in annoyance. "okay we all know, great now may i have a word with miss supergirl here?" you move her a little way from the others.

she raised an eyebrow at your reaction. "okay, i understand you sharing your secret, but why mine?" you ask before she scoffs a little. "well first off y/n, so you can finally talk to people about what you can do. secondly, james is perfect for you, this way you can date someone who won't freak out!" kara answered, a little too loud for your taste.

"did you seriously do this to set me up with someone?" you whisper shout, stomping your foot into the ground. kara rolled her eyes before pushing past you, "anyone, james, winn, this is y/n, like i said. she works for the photography department of the paper too!" james finally gave a reaction to you, raising an eyebrow, thinking about how much time you will both most likely spend with each other.
