《Supergirl》Chapter 12

"Hey can I ask you something?" Rick asked as our teacher lectured about math. I like math, just not when they are just lecturing us. It made me feel like sleeping, or like banging my head on my desk multiple times.
"Shoot." I said smiling. He leaned over and reached into his back pack to pull out a golden envelope.
"Will you be my date to the Wayne Ball this Saturday?"
I've always wanted to go to the Wayne Ball! It was a party Bruce Wayne had every year on the Wayne company's anniversary. Now I finally get to go, and as Richard Grayson's date!
"Yes, I will!" I whispered a little to loudly.
"Do you have something to say in front of the whole class Miss?" my annoying math teacher Mr. Eldridge said.
"Ummm, no sir." I replied in the most sweet tone I could get out.
"Very well then, without any further more interru-"
The bell went off signaling lunch. Our teacher looked really annoyed, but everyone just hurried out.
I went in the cafeteria to be greeted by Liz "Hey sweet thang." she said nudging me. Her weirdness never stops confusing me.
"Hey." I said simply smiling.
"Chris why don't you sit with us." Rick said as he walked past me. I looked at Liz and she nodded smiling.
"Sure." I answered smiling even bigger. At his table sat Dillon, Johnny, and another girl with black hair. Her hair was pin straight and she had bright green eyes. Her skin was tan and she was really pretty wearing skinny jeans and a cute top.
"Hey Chris." I looked away from the girl to see Dillon who is across from me smiling.
"Hey." I greeted waving at Dillon. He had his hair styled perfectly and he was working on some homework. This guy is good looking and smart too! Or he's doing homework he should've done yesterday.

"Kent." I heard the person from beside me mutter. I look to my right and it's Johnny. I remember when I was texting Rick he said his last name was Greene.
"Greene." I muttered back and we both gave each other disgusted looks. I guess you could say we have a love/hate relationship.
"Chris, this is Raven." Rick said motioning to the other girl at our table.
"Hey I'm Chris as you already know."
"Nice to meet you." she replied smiling and showing her one crooked tooth. She was sitting beside Dillon, but I noticed she looked to my right and smiled at Johnny. He winked at her and she blushed. So I see someone has a crush. I approve. Even though he can't hear me and probably doesn't care for my approval.
"Help me, I can't stop staring." Liz said from my other side. I look at her and followed her eyes to Dillon who is smiling perfectly. I just rolled my eyes, but the conversation stated before I could say anything.
My thoughts went off to Advanced Functions. Well, more to put mysterious, disappearing teacher. She had been there for a week. One week. Now I hadn't seen her since.
Maybe she quit? No one else knows what happened, but for some reason I want to find out what happened. The girl creeped me out with her giant smiles and annoying laugh.
"See ya later Chris." Dillon whispered squeezing my hand. I looked up at him and his face was inches from mine. Lunch was over?
"Bye." I whispered back before we both walked away. I don't know how, but Dillon has this effect on me that I can't even explain.

School had just finished and I was walking home. I couldn't stop thinking of Dillon. I would just keep picturing our future first kiss. Call me weird, but I've liked this guy for 2 years.

I got home and went straight to my room not saying a word to my parents. We never talk. Like EVER. I opened my door to be greeted by my boss.
"Well how has it been going?" He questioned whispering so my parents couldn't hear.
"Good, were becoming closer by the second. Soon I'll take action." I answered putting my bag down and pulling out my phone.
"Do you remember the plan? You said two weeks!" He hissed getting a little to loud for my liking.
"Yes, yes, become friends with Crystal Kent. Go to her house, meet her father. Then kill him." I answered annoyed that he was here.
"Yes, now I'll give you more time." he said jumping out of the window, still saying, "See ya later." and laughing that annoying laugh.
"You too Joker." I mumbled so he probably couldn't hear.
I had finished step one to become friends with her. Now I just had step two, to kill her father/Superman and maybe her in the process. She won't be expecting a thing.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.
