Emily's POV:

Derek and I was sitting in the lounge playing xbox when the bell rang.

"Go open the door", I shouted

"Haha. Very funny. So you could win the game?"

My bad! Mom was also not at home which means we had to open it. And this game was not going to end soon so I did the same that I used to do with Allen. I kicked him and he lost the control.

"What the heck?", He groaned in pain.

"I Win !I win!", I started my happy dance.

"Thats cheating", he whined

"Now go and see who is at the door",I pushed him a little which he returned with a glare.

I don't know what was taking him too long. I went after him and my heart skiped the beat. I swear literally skiped the beat.

Zach was standing there on my doorstep with my favourite chocolates and a flower.

I missed him. I wanted to go and hug him and then never letting him go. I wanted to tell him, how much I missed him.I wanted to tell him that how he still had such an effect on me.

How his deep blue eyes still never failed to make me nervous!

I wanted to write 'I miss you' on a rock and throw that at his face so he could know that how much it hurts to miss him.

I came out of my day dreaming when I realized what was happening. Was there any staring contest that I didn't know about?

They both were glaring eachother as if trying to murder eachother with looks.

After sometime Zach spoke "What are you doing here?"

Oh God I missed his voice even if it was filled with venom. Venom. Why? They know eachother? Woah.

"You know him", I directed my question to Derek, clearly trying to ignore Zach. When my each pore was shouting to talk to him.

Zach finally acknowledged my presence. He stared at me trying to find something in my eyes.His eyes were filled with a swirl of emotions. His eyes were the prove that he missed me and that was enough to make my heart to bounce in happiness and satisfaction.

The heavy emotions in his eyes were making me nostalgic so I looked everywhere except him.

"Yeah he was in my high school", Derek replied " My worst enemy"

My eyes popped out of their sockets. Enemy and the worst one. Woah

"What are you doing here?", Zach repeated his words with same wrath.

"Can't you see a connection between us", Derek pulled me towards him and snaked his arm around my wrist.

I gave him a -What the hell- look but he ignored it.

The expression of disgust and wrath fell off Zach's face and replaced by confusion.

I was sure that my face was the carbon copy of his right now. What the hell happened to Derek?

"What do you mean?!", Zach gritted his teeth.

Derek gave him a smug smirk and said " We are dating"

I looked at him and he gave me a -keep your mouth shut-look.

When I saw the anger flaming through Zach's body, I understood what Derek was trying to do.

Zach looked at me with hopeful eyes that maybe Derek was wrong but I also put the cold water on that glint of hope and said " He is right"

The look in his eyes were making me to freed from Derek's grip and go hug Zach and tell him that I was still his. That my heart still beat for him.

But my evil side soon came out and reminded me that now it was his turn to suffer. I had enough.

I was sure that his hands were itching to punch Derek square in the face but he was controlling himself.

"Can I talk to you?", At last he asked defeated.

"Sure", I said.

When Derek didn't bug from his place he said emphasizing the word " Alone"

"No", Derek replied

I gave him a - I will literally kill you-look

"Okay", he said

Derek went inside but not before opening his freaking big mouth. " And don't try to do something funny with my girl"

Zach hissed at the word ' my girl'

I didn't know but each time when Zach glared and wanted to punch his face , I feel contentment.

He was jealous of Derek. Oh sounds really satisfying.

After a minute of awkward silence he said " I missed you"

"Dont say you miss me when it was your fault that I am gone", I replied looking deep into his eyes.

" I am sorry", He said with pure sincerety.

"Can you forgive me?", He asked

"Zach everything is changed", I said

"No nothing is changed. We can always start new.", He tried to convince me.

I didn't know what to say him. I wanted to shout that Yes! Yes! We can always start new.But-

"You don't have to answer now", he continued " Here! I know its nothing as compared to how much I hurt you but I believe it will work", He handed me the chocolates and flower.

The tears were threatening to came out but I pushed them back in my eyes.

"You can come back to the office. Our relationship have nothing to do with work"

I gave him a weak smile.

Then we kept staring in each other's eyes , trying to figure out the situation.

"Just remember I will never give up"

He said this and went away. Leaving me in utter confusion. What he meant by this? A hope sparkled inside me. But I know we were in so f*cked up situation.

I went inside with a intention to murder Derek first.

He just created another hurdle in our relationship.
