《Follow the Plot》Chapter 12

"This is a good outfit, Haigu. Thank you." Estorea smiled at him, who blushed and bowed slightly. Obviously happy with the compliment.
"Hey! Hey! Don't forget about me too! I helped too!" Aelia interrupted, her hands on her hips as she pouted.
Estorea chuckle, she raised her hand, landing it on Aelia's head. "Yes, yes, you were useful too, thank you."
Aelia's eyes brightened.
Estorea turned to the mirror, her appearance had changed significantly.
Since her face was gender-neutral, she had cut her hair a bit up to a little bit below her neck and binded her chest as an extra precaution. She couldn't let anyone find out that she was a female. It would be fatal if it would happen.
She also applied some make-up to make her face more manly. It really does wonders. And also made some contact lenses as she remembered reading on then once, with a little help from magic, she managed to make a brownish-yellow eye coloured contact lenses. Luckily, abnormal colours such as this, were normal in this world.
"Has the carriage arrived yet?" Estorea asked, adjusting her golden monocle and sling bag which contained pens, notes and books.
Haigu look out the window, "Yes Miss."
Estorea flick her wrist, lifting up her sleeve lightly as she inserted a small wooden slingshot and minimal sized rocks into the custom-made knife holder she had made, she zipped it up, wearing it on her lower wrist, this was to be used in any cases of danger.
She also kept a small amount of pepper inside a ball, around her neck, disguising it as a necklace.
The necklace was of a small translucent glass ball that has golden rims and beautiful, elegant patterns traced into it. There was a way to open it and Estorea had filled it up with black pepper, again, in case she was to face any danger, she would resort to this means. If any were to ask what it was, she would reply that it was her ancestors' ashes.

Her outfit consisted of a white-collar shirt and a patterned vest, adding on with a black outer jacket and a dull gemstone. She also wore simply black leggings and brown leather shoes with gold buckles on it. Her hair was also tied up loosely with a black ribbon, and she had a single monocle, circular lens in a mental frame that that was just for appearances and effects, thus creating her current outfit.

"Are you sure you don't want us to come with you, Miss?" Haigu ask worriedly with Aelia nodding frantically by his side.
Estorea nod, "Yes, I prefer if you watch over the mansion for me while I'm gone. Don't worry, I will be back soon." With that, Haigu sigh and close the carriage door.
"Be safe... Young Miss." Haigu prayed slightly.

The king of this country wasn't competent. In fact, the reason why this country hasn't been invaded yet was due to the Queen and Butler.
Which is why, the crown prince was determined to not become like his father. Though, in my opinion, I think he became more of a grey, until he met the heroine, which he turned completely black and foolish.
To be a king, it is not good to be a shade of white. To be kind, forgiving. The country would fall in ruins. There will always be greedy humans everywhere, seeking the downfall of others.
The king of this country does nothing but lounge around all day in his palace, having his concubine feed and tend to his needs at his every beck and call.
The only reason he managed to become king was because his other siblings had ended up killing each other. By poisoning, assassinating. His behaviour remained repulsive even when he was young, which was why none of his siblings saw him as a threat and decided to leave him for last.

Alas, it was sad that they all got stabbed by a double edged sword.
Like love. Exactly like it.
The King's Wife, the Queen, was a foreigner. She was a princess of a fallen kingdom and had been married to the King due to some unforeseen circumstances. She was very beautiful, with dark-toned skin, purpled rain coloured hair and topaz coloured eyes.
Whereas, the father had dark grey eyes, snow-white hair and fair skin. Although he was despicable, he was still handsome. What a waste of good looks on someone like him.
Evan Gladian, the crown prince, inherited his father's eyes and hair colour, whereas, he inherited his mother's skin tone.
He has snow-white long hair, deep bronze coloured skin, and dark grey eyes.
He often gives off an aura of aloofness and elegance from first glance. However, that doesn't stop him from putting on all smiles and always seemingly helping the citizens in order to raise his position in their hearts.
A kingdom, can never function without their citizens, I'm glad that he actually has that logic in his brain. It seems he has a decent amount of intelligence. How delightful.

Evan Gladian
《Crown Prince》
(I apologise if I got the skin colour wrong, I tried searching up google and I decided to choose bronze as it seemed the closest to his skin colour)
_____________
The Queen and King didn't care about each other, minding their own businesses.
The Queen simply handles the concubines' and government matters, making sure they're all in check. Meanwhile, she passes the rest of her responsibilities to the trusted butler, who handles the finances and army matters.
But because he's also busy with other matters, such as taking care of the castle and servants. He wouldn't put too much care into trying to protect this 'matters' and unconsciously put it as a second, third or even fourth priority.
Finances and Army Issues are all sent to the King's Working Chambers. The butler will sort through them and make necessary arrangements once a week. They are, however, guarded, of course.
The Queen is inexperienced, she has never been given the queen training course before, so as expected, she doesn't put much thoughts into this and focused on retaining her position.
But... It's no issue.
After all, it seems like the members of the royalty doesn't put much into this matters, they have taken it for granted. For the generals of the armies have given their utmost loyalty to the kingdom and would do anything to protect it, resulting in a well-secured defense power.
Often, when they come back to make their daily reports, they are deceived by the friendly and so-called 'appreciative acts' that the royalty presents.
Thus, seeing their efforts well praised and given such high gratitude, they would naturally have the feeling of doing their job even better.
It's sad, that they are rather... Foolish.
Though, I do admire their intentions. Very admirable.
Because most of the times, humans are praise-greedy. As one, rarely praises another.
It's very sad. This world.

One would seek out another place to live, of course. Perhaps she performed thusly through pity, charity, or a simple act of kindness with no strings attached. Regardless, he is deposited near a village upon a mountainous range within the world. There, he meets up with his Human family, a grizzled old Templar, a shy Cleric, and an apathetic Mage, that came to take him away from his troubles, but he does not budge. That is, until one of his servants speaks of finding a new home. However, perhaps instead of finding a home, he finds adventure instead? The story within is a Frame Story, which means it is a story within another story. In that this one is being told by three personages, a God King called the Ageless, a Lich King called Brutus, and a Goddess named Sarah. Each of them speaks of the Ageless's past self, one called Karastak, as he journeys onwards throughout the worlds within the Azzarathean Pantheon in search of something more.
