"Shit, come on! Come on!" Dustin yelled, running to the three. Pushing them into the mall delivery entrance. "Where are we running?" Steve asked as Dustin closed the door, locking it. Dustin pushed the teens, making it into the movie theater. He opened the door, quickly looking around, then pushing the teens in.
"Okay, come on. All clear." Dustin said making his way into the theater, Steve found pop corn, taking it and moving into the movie. "You three, sit! Steve sit on the end, Y/n, sit in the chair next to Steve and Robin, you sit in the chair next to her." Dustin told Robin, Y/n and Steve, they laughed quietly, then hushed each other, sitting in the chair.
"No, no, no! these seats are too close! Dude, these seats blow." Steve whined. "Then don't watch the movie." Dustin said. "We wanna watch it." Robin said. "Then watch it!" Dustin whisper-yelled, getting hushes from the others. "Sorry, what ever you do, don't go anywhere." Dustin made himself clear.
"Fine, daddd." Steve said, making the three snicker. Dustin made his way to the last seat on the other side of the isle. Dustin sighed, walking out of the theater, trying to get hold of someone. Finally getting hold of Mike but the batteries gave up. He quickly made his way to the theater, seeing the three gone.
Y/n laid on the floor, watching the lights spin, listening to her boyfriend and best friend ramble about the movie. "So like, I wasn't totally focused in there or anything but I'm pretty sure that mom was trying to bang her son." Robin said.
"Wait, wait, the hot chick was Alex P. Keaton's mom?" Steve asked, taking another drink from the water fountain he was leaned up against. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure." Robin said, watching Steve drink, then looking at Y/n. "But, they're the same age?" Steve said. "No, but he went back in time." Robin said, Steve snickered.
"Then why is it called back to the future?" Steve said, Robin sighed. "He has to go back to the future, because he's in the past, so the future is actually the present, which is his time." Robin explained, Steve stopped.
"Wh- what?" He asked. "No, no, it's my turn, you've had enough." Robin whined, push Steve to the floor near Y/n. "Hey Steve, you gotta check this out, check this, isn't this... the ceiling, it's pretty." Y/n said, as Steve laid on her stomach and Robin came over sitting down, near the two.

"Oh, wow." Robin said. The three began to feel sick, they soon rushed into the bathroom, throwing up the popcorn. Y/n sat in the first stall, Steve in the second and Robin in the third. "The ceiling stop spinning for me. Is it still spinning for you?" Robin asked the two. "Holy shit, no." Steve responded, looking at the ceiling. "You think we puked it all up?" Steve asked. "maybe, ask me something, interrogate me." Robin said, Steve sighed. "Okay, interrogate you, sure."
"When was the last time you peed your pants?" Steve asked, not knowing what to say. "Today." Robin said which was odd. "What?" Steve and Y/n asked. "When the Russian doctor took out the bone saw!" Robin laughed. "Oh my god." The two others laughed.
"It was just a little bit though." Robin laughed, making a small signed with her fingers. "Yeah, it's definitely still in her system. Oh alright, my turn, okay. Hit me" Steve said, sitting up. "Have you ever been in love?" Robin asked. Y/n felt a little weird. Why would a robin say that?
"Yep, a long time ago. Nancy Wheeler." Steve sighed. "First semester, senior year." He added, making gunshot noises. "Oh my god, she is such a priss." Robin added. "Turns out, not really." Steve replied.
"Are you still in love with Nancy?" Robin asked Steve, he instantly shook his head. "Of course not!" Steve almost yelled in disbelief. "Why not?" Robin asked him. "I think... It's because I found someone that is a little bit better for me. It's crazy, ever since Dustin got home, he's been saying you know, 'you got to find your suzie! you got to find your suzie!" Steve said.
"Wait, who's suzie?" Robin asked him. "Some girl from camp, I guess, his girlfriend. To be honest with you, I'm not a hundred percent sure she's even real." Steve said, off topic. "That's not- that's not really the point, this doesn't matter, the point is... You know the one that I like... It's someone who has never loved anybody, ever." Steve explained, describing Y/n.
"First of all, she's beautiful. She's so sweet and compassionate. I feel like ever since she arrived in Hawkins, I have gotten happier and the only thing I want to do is to protector her. She's quiet, she enjoys to listen. She can remember something i've told her months ago." He added, Y/n looked down, feeling loved for the first time. Sure, she just began to date Steve, but she was positive she loved him and him only. Well, besides her sister and the Byers.

"You know she's honestly. She's unlike anyone i've ever met before." He sighed, sliding under the stall to Y/n. "I love you, Y/n." He said, taking her hands and pulling her into a hug. "I love you too, Steve." She whispered into his ear. Once more, making his heart melt and made his knees weak, she pulled away and laughed. "Robin is here." She whispered. Steve remembered, sighing.
"Robin? Did you just OD in there?" Steve asked, the two teens heard a laugh. "No." Robin responding, making her way to the first stall, where Steve and Y/n were.
"So, have you ever been in love?" Y/n asked Robin, she sighed. "Yeah, I have." She sighed. "Really, who?" Steve asked her, she looked down.
"Look, you guys don't know me. If you guys really did know me, like- like really know me, I don't think... you guys even would want to be my friend." She kept looking down, she raised her eyebrows, swallowing so she didn't cry in front of her best friends.
"No, that's not true, no way is that true. Robin, we are here for you. We are best friends." Steve sat up, looking at Robin. "Listen, it shocked me to my core but I like you guys, like.. really like you guys." Robin said, looking up at the two teens.
"But i'm not like you guys. Do you remember, what I said about click's class about me being jealous and like, obsessed?" Robin asked them, Y/n nodded. "It isn't... because I had a crush on you. It's because... she wouldn't stop staring at you." Robin added, which confused Steve and Y/n again.
"Mrs. Click?" Steve asked, Robin lightly laughed. "No, Tammy Thompson." She replied. "I wanted her to look at me but she couldn't pull her eyes away from you and your stupid hair." She said, sighing. "And I didn't understand because you would get bagel crumbs... all over the floor, and you ask dumb questions, and you were a douche bag! You didn't even like her and I would go home and just scream into my pillow." Robin said on the verge of tears.
"But Tammy Thompson's a girl?" Steve said, slowly. "Steve..." She said softly, looking down ashamed. "Yeah?.. oh." Steve realized, she was a lesbian! how could he be so stupid? "Oh." Robin replied, nervous for the reactions to come. "Holy shit." Steve said, somewhat shocked but was fine with it, he really wanted to supported her. "Yeah... holy shit." Robin said. "Steve? did you OD over there?" Robin asked the boy as he realized he shook his head no, but Y/n was still confused, he turned to her.
"She likes girls, as in a girlfriend way and that is totally fine." Steve whispered into her ear quickly, so she knew what's going on. "No, I'm just thinking. I mean, Tammy Thompson was cute and all, but... I mean, she's a total dud!" He said.
"She is not." Robin argued. "Yes, she is! she wants to be, like, a singer. She wants to move too like, Nashville and shit." Steve said. "She has dreams." Robin defended her. "She can't even hold a tune. she's practically tone-death. have you heard her? all the time." He said, making robin laugh and feel better about herself.
"You see me now tonight. You see me-" Steve started to sing, horribly, making the two girls laugh. "She does not sound like that!" Robin laughed at him. "She sounds exactly- that was a great impression of her." Steve jokingly said.
"She does not! You sound like a muppet!" Robin argued with Steve. "She sounds like a muppet! She sounds like a muppet giving birth." Steve and the girls laughed. "And if you could hold me tight, we'll be holding on forever!" The three sang together, singing horribly, laughing with each other as Dustin busted through the door. "Okay, like, what the hell?" Dustin said.

Caught between enough crisscrossing schemes to form a spiderweb, she must use every ounce of her not inconsiderable mind to keep herself from playing into another's hands... all while solving a mysterious and seemingly impossible murder. Divine Progress
Progress is a dubious god. After failing him, three people are banished from modern times and sent to another world. Seemingly out of place, Christoph is snatched from his own time and plunged into a world of violence and magic with no deity to lend him support. Instead, Progress has seen fit to curse him with an eternal hunger for magical energy. Branded as a demon, he must fight for survival while battling the servants of the god who sent him there, struggling against the 'gift' that Progress bestowed upon him and the past he sought to abandon. Can he make his way across the lands and gather enough strength to survive without the blessings of the Divine? Or will the gods bend him to their will, breaking him if he seeks to resist? This is not a short story, and the plot will take many twists and turns before Christoph's journey comes to a close. After all, it is not the destination, but the Progress that matters in the end. Like many other stories on RoyalRoad, this is my first piece. Feedback is more than welcome, so please leave a reply if you have a comment or question.
