《A Mindful Relationship [Jensoo]》Chapter 11

It was an amazing morning for me since forever and what shocked me was that I woke up beside Hanbin's hospital bed. And so the memories from the night before came through my head like some movie or so. I was still in my clothes from last night so I decided to go home and change after asking my parents if I could go to school and leave my idiot of a brother in their hands.
After all that, I drove my way to school to be met by a grumpy Chaeyoung sitting on our usual bench spot. Not exactly a new sight coming from someone who has been best friends with this brat. It seems like that scowling expression she always wears every morning is her thing.
And didn't she sleep in Lisa's/Jisoo's suite? Where the hell is that blonde?
"Hey." I greeted her with a smile while dropping my bags which made her frown leaving me confused in my seat. "Is there something wrong?"
"Why are you smiling like that?" She spatted, voice raised up that it almost seemed like she was shouting at me and of course it gathered a few stares from the people around us. Nothing new really. She looked pissed enough for me to frown and give her head a good strong knock. She obviously glared at me while holding the side of her head on where I hit her.
"If your in a bad mood, take your drama somewhere else, brat. I don't have time for your shit." I shot back at her. Glare to glare, nothing new coming from the both of us but what is new is that she was the one who gave in first and took a deep sigh before mumbling a quiet apology which shocked the hell outta me.
"Just having a bad morning, with my parents fighting and all. Nothing new." She sighed and leaned her head on my shoulder immediately after I sat beside her and caressed the back of her hair. Giving her the least comfort she needed this instant. "And to make matter worse, Jimin hasn't come home from last night yet." I heard a sob escape her lips. A pained sob from Park Chaeyoung herself. Her shoulders were trembling and her face was already deep into the crook of my neck, scared that I would see her reaction. How the hell did she do that but don't mind that for awhile.

I knew Chaeyoung's family issues and it was badder than my grades honestly. Her parents always fought and her brother was let's say, broken. It felt like she was the only one sane in her family and she was getting tired of it. And that's where me and Lisa step in. To help this broken angel and give her the best life she could have.
She needed the best comforter that she could get but I'm not that comforter even if I try to be. It's just not my game, y'know. But I do know someone who can make this crying girl smile almost in an instant.
As I steadily took my phone out of my pocket, I immediately texted Lisa to get here fast. I didn't want to be stuck in this same position for any longer than necessary. I mostly have two reasons why. First, it's because the two of us were getting unneeded attention from bystanders and secondly, I don't know how to handle a sad Chaeyoung. Only the sassy and mean one, I definitely could.
Damn this whole thing.
"Hey Chaeng, I know this isn't the time for me to inform you about this but..." I trailed off as I eyed the sniffing girl beside me and mostly, half-ly on top of me. I don't know how but it just happened, okay?
"Go on." Her angelic and soft voice was now raspy and tired. I took a sigh before kissing the side of her head shortly making the sides of her lips tug up shortly. She might act like a brat or bitch sometimes but it doesn't mean that I don't care about her. She needed a shoulder to lean on and that's me for now.
"I already talked with my soulmate." As I said that, her head immediately shot up from where it laid which was on my shoulder and obviously we hit each other making the both of us grunt in pain.
"Wh-what?"
"I already talked to my soulmate!"
"Lemme get this straight. You've finally talked to your soulmate and not just your conscience?"
Did you really have to expose me like that?
"That's right."
"And what was your conversation exactly?" She asked. Her sad expression was long gone and was replaced by curious eyes staring intently at me. I almost gulped at the close proximity that we were

"Just some greetings and such."
"No names?"
"You know we can't ask their names."
"I know right. It almost sucks." A small pout formed on her face making me smile. At least she's not crying anymore.
"It does. But we only started communicating with each other so... I don't wanna pry too much on her personal info."
"When have you been so considerate, you bitch ass." She had this teasing glint on her eyes that once again pissed me off. She's an expert at this thing and I hate it to the core.
"Aren't you one to talk, brat." I retorted making the younger girl gasp at me in feigned disbelief.
"When will the two of you ever get along..? Your arguing with each other is just worsening my hungover here." A voice from behind me said so. I turned around and was met by another scowling face. Lisa's scowling face, to be exact.
"Finally! You're here..." I raised my hands high up with an exasperated sigh of relief coming out if my mouth. I stood up and grabbed Lisa's shoulder before pushing her down beside Chaeyoung and making the blue-haired girl lean her body onto the younger girl beside her. "Now, comfort that brat because I don't know how to handle her."
They were about to protest but if it wasn't for me plugging in my earphones and just chilling there in front of them with a cheeky smile on my face, I could've been bombarded by their complaints from their loud mouths.
But I wasn't exactly listening to music but to their conversation. Like I'd miss the chance to hear their conversations, no way.
"Your head still hurts?" Chaeyoung asked worriedly. Trying her best not to touch Lisa whatsoever. It just shows how desperate she's stopping herself by how she's clenching her hands into tight fists.
"You weren't the one who finished three bottles of liquor, Chaeng-ah." Lisa just answered with a light chuckle making Chaeyoung's worried expression fade and was replaced by a genuinely smiling one.
Now that's weird and simply not a Chaeyoung thing.
"The fault still stands." Chaeyoung huffed and crossed her arms while looking away from Lisa's gentle eyes to hide the blush that was creeping on her face.
Just fucking confess already!
"Unnie." I heard Lisa call for me in a loud tone and so I acted as if I just heard her and took my earphones off. The conversation they had is nothing interesting and just frustrating to watch.
"Congratulations to not being a sucker anymore, Unnie." Lisa clapped her hands and Chaeyoung joined in as well. And here I was, confused as hell on what's going on with these two.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I'm just saying your a member of the 'I-can-speak-to-my-soulmate-inside-my-head' group." Lisa proudly announced with her chin high and her smirk wide.
"Who the fuck named it like that?" I questioned, simply not liking the name of the group.
"Lisa did obviously. I'd never think of anything that lame." Chaeyoung faked gagged and stared at Lisa with disgust but all I see in her eyes is care for the younger girl. How un-obvious of her.
"Oh yeah? Please do share with us your un-lame idea." Lisa retorted, clearly not reading that Chaeyoung was just teasing her. At these times, I'm thinking that I'm the one that has enough brain cells to understand situations like these.
"And why should I?"
"After you insulted the name I gave to the group, this is what you say? Should I forcefully get it out of your mouth?" Lisa challenged and Chaeyoung was not one to back down so just I'm just expecting for them to just beat each other up already so that they'll be too injured to move.
"Try me, asshole."
"I will, you sassy fucker."
"And your telling me that the both of us don't get along." I mumbled under my breath while checking my phone for anything interesting, being completely oblivious of the glares that were sent to me.
"Shut up, Jennie!"
"Unbelievable..."
