Author's Notes: I'm getting so excited guys! We are almost done with this story! I was afraid I would never finish and it would stay unfinished forever and I was gonna wake up ten years later in bed and freak out because "Damn I never finished my Reader X Genos Fanfiction on Wattpad when I was 18.." and I would be typing on my computer at two in the morning and my kids would wake up and be like "mom what are u doing (in ma swamp)" and HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO EXPLAIN THAT WHEN I WAS 18 I WAS IN LOVE WITH A FICTIONAL ANIME CHARACTER AND WROTE FANFICTION ABOUT HIM? I'm not doing that to future self, so here I am, writing til the end. Thank you.
---------------------------
Reader's POV
"GENOS!!!!" You yelled on the top of your lungs. You screamed so loud that the monsters who were closest to you, winced at the sheer volume. The goop crawled over your mouth which was as strong as the hold on your arms. You eyes darted around frantically looking for any sign of rescue but it was in vain. There was no sight of Genos or any of the other heroes for that matter.
"They're always there when you don't need them but the ONE TIME YOU DO..ugh." You thought.
But you refused to give up! If no one was going to save you, you weren't going to give up without a fight! A literal fight for your life! You quickly calculated how many of King Blobman's minions there were. Enough to give you a good fight that was for sure.
Suddenly, you felt a big sneeze start to build up inside of you. "This might work." You thought. You turned your head slightly and faced the blob monster that held your right arm..

"ACHOO!" You sneezed right in the monster's eyes. Your seenze sent the monster into a rage as he left go of your arm as he despretly clawed at his eyes.
"AHHH! MY EYES!! SHE SNEEZED INTO MY EYES!!" The monster screeched. He seemed to be blinded for he was running all over the bridge, knocking down his fellow blob monsters. The other blobman that held your left arm also had your mouth covered. You almost laughed at what you were about to do, and when you did-
"ACK! SHE LICKED MY HAND!" The other blob monster hollered in horror, wiping your saliva you generously dished out, on his fellow monster's back. That monster then freaked out, rubbing his back on another's monster's back and the cycled continued until everyone was either freaking out over nose germs or mouth germs.
You tried to suppress your giggles but you couldn't help yourself. The feeling of dread and helplessness was replaced with giddiness and laughter. You only had a moment to enjoy the feeling of pride you had from the utter chaos your bodily fluids caused when suddenly you were in a hold and the wind in your chest was knocked out of you when you were forced against the bridge's railing.
"OOF!" You breathed out as the entire weight of The Blob King pressed against your body into the bridge.
"How dare you laugh at my men." Blobmon gurgled under his breath. "You don't plan on leaving us? DO YOU?" He shouted in your face , spewing pieces of his goop at you.
"Maybe you could-" The Monster King took hold of you and threw your body over the edge of the bridge. Blobmon had hold of your wrists, so you were dangling over the water. "-hang around a bit."

"No no no no no no NO" You cried out desperately. By now- the festival goers had seen you dangling from off the bridge and the blob monsters looked even scarier to the innocent bystander because of their screams (little did they know that they were being big babies over boogers and spit).
More of the festival lanterns were being lit and floating down the river and below your kicking feet. You looked up in distress to King Blobmon. His eyes soften for a moment and he started to lift you up to safety. It seemed like he had changed his mind! A large, toothless grin covered the King's face and your heart sank at his words-
"See you soon, lover." His breath blew over your face as he spoke and the monster's strong grasp around your wrist was suddenly...gone. One of the festival goers women screamed. A small gasp left you as you fell backwards.
"This is it." You thought. As you were falling you caught glimpse of the lanterns floating in the water, and Genos...
Wait..
GENOS?!?

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
