"Hoseok! Bring us back to the place we were in before they caught us. We'll take that lift." Jungkook shouts, running for the door. Hoseok rushed out first, speeding away. By now, Hong Guk and Beom Jin had confirmed that we were in here. However, they were unable to open the door.
The clicking of the keyboard filled the air as Jungkook's fingers pressed on the keys. Satisfaction ran down your spine as you listened to it. "That should stall us some time," Jungkook whispers, looking back at the two demons who were trying to pry open the door. "Jesus!" Beom Jin cursed, banging his fist on the door.
"Don't say that you smart ass!" Hong Guk smacks the latter's head, causing it to collide with the glass door. You snickered, lips curving upwards. "We should get going," Jimin sniggered as he watched the two other demons. Soon, more demons came piling up, trying to open the door. The door shook subtly, but it didn't budge.
"Yeah, we should." Jungkook agrees, nudging us to run first. Jimin grins, entwining hands with you as he started to jog in the direction where Hoseok disappeared off. Jungkook follows behind, nagging at the both of you to speed up. "Why do we run whenever we're with each other?" you groan. Your legs felt like they could fall off anytime.
"Do you not like it?" Jimin replies, swerving left. "It gives me a chance to hold your hand," the male winks, clutching your hand tighter. You pushed back the blood that threatened to rush to your cheeks. Yells and thumping reverberated in the air, causing the three of you to speed up.
The floor shook vigorously, sending adrenaline pumping in your blood. "Man, I wonder what they eat." Jungkook huffs, taking over Jimin and you. You laughed, cutting it short to save your breath. "Where did Hoseok go?" you questioned, slowing down as you glanced around. There were two pathways - left and right.
The thudding of footsteps got louder, and so did the pumping of your heart. "Here!" Hoseok's echo travels down the right pathway. "Be quiet," Jimin shushed, before pulling you along. The three of you ran in silence. The hallway was longer than usual and doubts ran wildly in your head.

While running from the demons earlier, none of you walked through this pathway. "Are we on the right one?" you whisper breathlessly. Right after, you inhaled deeply, replenishing the air that had left your lungs earlier.
"Don't doubt him," Jungkook whispers back. It was hard to miss the aggressiveness in his voice. He slows down, walking towards the end of the hallway. You muttered a sorry, moving closer towards Jimin. Jimin placed the hand that had once held your hand on your back, patting it lightly. As you walked towards the end, you realised that you were right where you had been in the beginning.
Hoseok stood there, grinning at the three of you. "Now, shall we get Jin?" You nod, gaze trailing towards the lift button. It had lighted up, signaling that Hoseok had pressed it. As the lift doors open, you let out a sigh of relief. There were no blots of paint to greet you.
The four of you walked in, tiredness reeking in the air. "I need to catch a few winks," you mumbled, massaging your eyes. "Chewbacca," A familiar soothing, honey-liked voice traveled to your ears. Groaning you opened your eyes.
Jimin winked at you with his right eye, then his left. A cheeky smirk had formed on his lips. He winked simultaneously, then opened his mouth to speak. "You caught them right?"
You stood still for a moment, still trying to process what he had said. Hoseok and Jungkook burst out laughing, causing the shade of red that had formed on your cheeks to darken. "That's not what I meant, you asshole!" you scrunched your nose, trying to hide the laughter that erupted within you as you lightly punched his chest.
"Is it not enough for you?" Jimin winked again, before letting out soft squeaks, eyes curved into a crescent. His laughter sent shivers down your spine. Your heartbeat increased at the sight, a small smile unconsciously forming on your face.
Jimin quacks then tousled your hair. The rectangular box on top of the doors flash the numbers '12' in red. Level twelve, you were on level twelve. The lift door opens, leading you towards a dark alleyway. Before the door closes, Jimin reached inside to press a button. "Can't leave evidence behind," he shrugs. "Let's get to Jin," Hoseok murmurs, walking down the hallway. Jungkook had trudged towards him, reaching his hand out to grab his. Hoseok turns to look at Jungkook, but the boy waved him off.

Your heart warmed up at the sight and the smile on your face broadens. Out of the blue, Jimin grasps your hand and stuffed it into his pocket. "I'm cold," the short male mumbles, teeth chattering. You broke away from his hold, slipping your hand out of his. "Then put your hands into your pocket, why take mine?" your eyeballs rolled three hundred and sixty degrees.
"Because you warm me up." came his reply. Then, he reaches for your hands and stuffed them back into his pocket. No matter how hard you budge, he refused to let it slip away. You silently thanked god that there were no lights. "Ghost's eyesight is the best in darkness," Jimin leans towards you, whispering into your ears. "I like that shade of red on your face, fishie," Jimin murmurs in a seductive tone, hot breath caressing your skin, causing the hair on your neck to stand.
"It just keeps getting redder, and I have no idea why." he teases, breathing into your ears intentionally before regaining his posture. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you jerk your hand out of his, but to no avail. Screams and shouts rang down the hallway and the two males ahead of you paused in their steps.
The two of you slithered towards them, trying to peer over their shoulders. "What's going on?" Jimin muttered, narrowing his eyes at the sight. Hoseok was now holding onto a seething Jungkook. Tears had traveled down Jungkook's cheek, leaving a glistening trail.
"NO! LET ME GO YOU DONKEYS!" squawks reverberated in the air. "Shut up you decent being." a voice, deeper and rougher, spoke up. Decent? Another loud, piercing scream filled the air. On your toes, you squinted at the sight. You could make out a man, squirming in the hold of two well-built demons. One of them was holding the man by his elbows, the other pressing a taser against his chest. The victim screams,
He lets out a spine-chilling cry, squeezing his eyes shut. They were shut so tightly that tears slipped out. Jungkook let out a sob, turning towards Hoseok, shoving his head into the older's neck. Wincing, Hoseok rubbed circles around Jungkook's back, comforting the whimpering boy. His gaze tore away from the sight, tears unwillingly slipping down his cheeks.
The tortured male was forced onto his knees, head bowed down. His pink-coloured hair was disheveled, spiking up in different directions. "Take him to the white room," the demon holding the taser ordered. Nodding, the other demon dragged the unconscious male away.
"Jin," Jimin whispered. "We came here at the wrong time, it's time for his punishment." his voice cracked, terror was written all over his face. Squeezing his hand, you objected. "We came here at the right time. We're supposed to save him, right? Let's go knock down some nincompoops," you grinned.
Jungkook sniffles, moving away from Hoseok's embrace. Hoseok lets out a soft laugh, nodding at your statement. The youngest blinks then tilt his head slightly to the left. With a swing, his tears yeeted away from his face. Laughing you gave him a pat on the back.
"We got this."
