CHAPTER 34:

"You're impossible to resist..." ~Taken, One Direction.

Sunday, 1st December 2013

HARRY'S POV

"Harry!" I heard Mum call me while I was on the computer at 11 AM on a Sunday, googling er... stuff. I instantly scrambled out of my chair and flew down of my room to see what Mum needed.

She chuckled when I reached the living room where she was, breathless. "Oh, love I just needed to talk to you. I'm fine."

It had been almost a month since Mum had gotten back from the hospital. She was on crutches now 'cos of her leg, and she of course wasn't allowed to move around much. But she was getting better in every way, and that's what mattered.

The day she had got back, I learnt that my so-called father won't be supporting us anymore 'cos he was marrying. I admit, I was a bit shocked. A part of me was happy, that we finally didn't have to depend on him, but the other part still worried for our well being. Will I be able to support myself and my Mum alone? I'm just a teenager after all.

Mum had now stopped drinking ans smoking much to my relief, and even checked into a private rehab. All I could do was cry from happiness when she told me that.

So, I had applied for a few jobs to support us and was currently working two part time jobs; one at a bakery, the other at a garage. I knew shit about cars, but eh, I just had to stack and rearrange things and the pay was modest.

Actually, the pay from both the jobs was almost just enough to pay off all the bills.

But you know what they say, "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."

And I go by that.

"Harry?"

"Hmm? Yeah?" I snapped out from my thoughts.

Mum was sitting on the coach, reading a book with some tea that I'd made her. I sat down beside her.

"I was thinking, as today's your day off, maybe I should invite Robin for dinner," she said, more to herself. When she noticed my cheeky smirk, she playfully slapped my arm.

"Oi! We're just friends, young man! And he has done so much for us, it's isn't fair that we haven't invited him for a homemade dinner. And restaurant dinners don't count."

I nodded eagerly. Robin was a really cool guy. I liked him. You know the vibe you get from some people? Yeah, I get a good vibe from Robin. So, he's cool. And he's funny. And so sweet to Mum. Not to mention freaking perfect for her! This will hopefully be a great oppurtinity to set those two up.

Mum noticed my grin and smiled. "So you like Robin, don't you? I hope you do, he's a really nice guy."

I nodded again. "Yeah, he's cool. And not only 'cos he got me a job at his shop." Yeah, he owned the garage shop, and was nice enough to offer me a job there even if I knew zilch about car parts.

"And why do you care if I think he's nice or not?" I teased Mum again and this time she blushed. Yes, she actually blushed.

"Mum! Are you blushing?" I squealed, and she rolled her eyes and slapped my thigh.

"Oh, stop it already! Now, would you like to invite Zayn as well?"

"Can I?"

"Of course, if he wants to come. Now, what should I cook?"

"Don't worry Mum, I'll handle that!" She quirked an eyebrow. I shot her a defiant look back.

Mum sighed and relented, a small smile on her lips. "Alright. You're almost as good at cooking as I am, so I'm giving you this job. But I'll supervise."

"Deal."

I called Zayn later in the day and he agreed to be there. Said he never passes over an offer for free food. But I'm sure he just wants to see me. Ha ha.

By 6 PM, I was done with all the food and took a nice long relaxing shower. Just as I was drying my hair, a knock sounded on my bedroom door.

"Yeah, Mum?"

"Nope, just me!" Zayn announced, kicking the door open and waltzing outside. He paused and held the door when he noticed me, his eyes darkening. Oops, I wasn't decent. Yeah, I had only a towel wrapped low around my waist, while I was still drying my dripping wet hair with a towel in my other hand.

Zayn shut the door slowly and walked over to me, stopping only when our torsos were touching. He didn't even notice that I'd gotten his shirt wet!

"Hello, Curly," he whispered sexily, while bending down and kissing my neck. My breath hitched and he pulled back, biting his lip.

"God, just put some clothes on before I rip away that towel," he muttered, pulling back and sat down on my bed facing away. I chuckled lightly, quickly pulling on some boxers, jeans and a decent shirt. I brushed my still wet hair and squeezing some gel in my hands, styled my hair in a quiff.

"Kay, I'm ready." Zayn turned around and smirked, looking me up and down while nodding aprovingly. I blushed under his gaze but walked over to him, cupping his face in my hands and kissed him not-so-innocently.

"Oh, and I forgot. Hello, Handsome," I grinned at him and he chuckled, pecking my lips again. Things with Zayn had been going great for the past month, perfect even.

But there's this pessimistic side of me, that's constantly reminding me that things are a bit too perfect right now. And something's bound to go wrong, sooner or later.

I ignore that side of course, but I can't help but think about it.

"Let's go help Mum," I suggested and let go of my boyfriend's face, taking his hand in mine. "Oh, and thanks again for coming."

"For coming? What? You didn't make me come babe... yet," he remarked with a cheeky smirk. When my slow brain caught up to what he'd said and how he'd meant it, my mouth dropped open a bit and I slapped his arm, blushing profusely.

He just roared with laughter, probably at my reaction. "Oh, my sweet innocent Hazza. I love making a mess upon your innocence!" He tucked me in his chest lovingly, even if I was a head taller than him.

I rolled my eyes but smiled. Frankly, I loved it when Zayn talked dirty. Yeah, I really loved it.

We walked into the living room and helped Mum set up the table. After a while, Robin arrived and I got the door.

"Hey Robin!"

"Hey, lad. How are ya?" He grinned when he saw me.

"Robin, you saw me yesterday, but thank you. I'm great. Now come in, it's freezing!" I opened the door wider for the man, and a cold gust of wind entered behind him. I shivered a bit and closed the door.

Robin greeted my Mum with a hug and they both sat down on the couch, talking animatedly. They both had gotten really close since they had met, mainly 'cos I now worked for him, and Mum called him her really good friend.

Pssh, yeah. Friend.

"You boys can go upstairs if you like. I'll call you down when I'll set up dinner."

I grinned cheekily. "Fine, we'll leave you two alone." Mum just glared at me while Robin chuckled.

Zayn and I walked back to my room and cuddled up on my bed. "You know, it's almost our three month anniversary," Zayn mused, playing with my curls.

"Yeah," I breathed, a bit stunned. Has it actually been three months? Wow.

"The best three months ever," I murmured, placing my chin on Zayn's chest, looking at his perfect jawline. God, is it just me, or is he really perfect? Like, model perfect?

"Yeah," he said softly, then wrapping his arms around my neck, pulled my head closer and softly kissed me. I still get the tingles and the butterflies they talk about in the movies when we kiss, and just like always I melted into him.

Our lips moved in sync and I hovered above Zayn, deepening the kiss. His lips were warm and felt good on my still cold ones. He bit my lip and I opened my mouth, threading my fingers through his hair, messing it up. We broke away for air and I kissed his jawline, running my fingers over his swollen lips.

I re-attached our lips, and Zayn moaned a bit when I accidently put pressure on his... lower area. I smirked and did it again, while I lightly bit on his lower lip. He groaned and flipped us around, me ending up on my back while Zayn now straddled me.

"You are such a fucking tease," he growled in my neck, then sucked on the soft spot under my ear, making me feel increasingly hot.

"God," I groaned. Zayn pulled his shirt over his head and just as I was about to, someone knocked on the door.

"Lads, dinner's ready!" It was Robin.

"Coming!" I called out, my voice still a bit raspy. As soon as I heard him walk away, I blushed. Zayn was putting his shirt back on.

"You think he heard us?" I asked, still a bit embarrassed.

Zayn rolled his eyes. "I doubt it. We were barely doing anything or making any noise. Though, I can't wait to make you scream," he murmured the last part in my ear with his husky voice, then stepped back and smiled innocently, unlocking the door and walking out.

And I had to think of kittens in a blender to will away the tightening in my pants. God, that boy.

~*~

Dinner was thankfully uneventful. I had gone for the safe option, pasta. And everybody seemed to love it and Mum okayed it.

Mum and Robin were constantly flirting, and Zayn and I rolled our eyes when they denied and said they were just bantering.

After dinner, Mum hugged Robin goodbye and he patted me on the back as a parting gesture, telling me he'd see me at work tomorrow.

"Are you staying Zayn?" Mum asked him.

"No Anne, not today. My parents are home and I've to spend time with them." He grimaced and Mum noticed, smiling sympathetically.

"Well, thanks for coming love, even if you only came for Harry," she added cheekily.

"Oh no! I came for the food too!" Zayn answered and we all laughed.

Mum finally said goodbye and slowly walked to her room after I assured her I'll clean up everything and told her to rest.

Zayn was now bundled up in a long dark coat and a knitted beanie. "Goodbye, Curly."

I smiled. I loved it when he called me Curly. I don't know why, I just did.

"Goodbye, Zaynie." Zayn just rolled his eyes and pulled me in for a soft goodbye kiss.

"See you at school?" He asked, ruffling my curls.

"See you at school."

"I wish you didn't have to work, I don't get to spend much time with you anymore. But I'm sorry, I know you have to work," he added sadly, pouting a bit.

"Aww!" was all I could say as I hugged him, pecking his lips lightly.

"I'm visiting you at the garage tomorrow, yeah?"

I smiled, scoffing a bit. "Sure, if Sal doesn't kick you out."

"He won't. I'll charm him. Oh, and I'm taking you out on our three month date, soon." Before I could say anything else, Zayn smiled one last time and slipped out the door, and with a gust of the cold December air, he left.

Closing the door, I sighed and turned back around, a smile on my lips from just thinking about the date.

Then my eyes landed on the still messy kitchen and table. Now to clean up everything.
